why dont you ask the running back what he thinks that should be more important than his dad

just for your infor no one every called bus two the loser bus. that coach did not say one curse after the powell game. unless shut-up is a curse word. i guess we are going to have to kick one of the players off the team because he yelled at the team after the halls game. he told everybody to shut-up. and just to be exact their were only two freshmen on bus two after the powell game.

haha now that is funny. the loser bus maybe next year they can make bus two a shorter bus.

maybe the team would be better in 2a or even 3a. Maybe the fans are just jumping ship to fast. 4a is a tough region. maybe the team is just not ready to play in this region. maybe lc is just going through some growing pains right now. if you think a 3a team can just move up to 4a and be competitive in 3 years you mught be expecting way to much.

lcfootball makes no sense. steve spurrier was a great player and a awesome coach. i think he won the heisman trophy. can i please have an example of a coach cursing a player. I still have no evidence about that.

now i just said i never said it wasnt coaching or it was coaching. Im just saying that everybody just keeps blaming it on eveything else. it could be players, it could be coaching, it could be support from school, community, fans. eveybody needs to stop bickering. I would never want to coach at lenoir city especially after reading all of these posts. you people are terrible.

don't most of the coaches teach. They would have to know how to deal with 15-18 year old kids. maryville coaches dont have older kids. some dont have any kids. and besides it is up to the parents to teach there kids to respect others, not the coaches.

maryville has a freshmen team, and a jv team. I watched them both play powell. very well coached, but i think lc could have been there freshmen. i did go to college so i do know a lot of these people, because I have also played football with and again these people. I know Nick and Mike white both played at maryville college brian gossett and klye harris played at maryville college jesse robinette played at maryville college coah q played at furman jimmy gaylor played at tennessee coach ellis played at carson newman is this the light.

does lc have an rotc. just because he didnt throw a pass doesnt mean he can play college ball. he might play a differnt position in college. you never know. the kid is athletic. college programs are run differently than high school programs. college athletes are paid to play. high school athletes are not. you expect more from college players. they are men. high school athletes are still just kids.

never saw a one reciever route. there is ALWAYS a second or third reciever. some on man. Maryville runs four verticals so they run it both strong and weak. In cover two the safties dont sit on the hash. they back pedal off the hash marks.

never heard a coach curse at a kid. do you have an example.

lc quarterback was a senior. maybe his last game. dont know if he will play in college. great coaching job. let the kid play. the backup has next year. good job coach.

leaders are developed, but they dont have to lead. So you are saying that the coaches must make a leader lead. That is not going to happen. If a young man wants to lead he will lead. you can not make somebody lead if he does not what to take on that responsibility. I dont see how you can make somebody do that. and the kids on a football team are differnt from people in the army. bad comparison.

I know alot of the LC coaches, and I respect them. I hate hearing people talk bad about them. They are good people, and they have developed a lot of young men. You people need to stop talking about people you don't even know. they are more than just coaches. they are fathers, husbands, and fine men. you should be a little more compasionate.

when running a fade route there is a read. You just dont understand football. if the corner sits throw the fade. if he goes with the reciever throw the underneath route. do you know what cover 2 or cover 3 is? that might help you with quarterback reads. the freshmen lost 4 games. are you happy.

maybe the schemes where correct. I didnt think the quarterback threw a td. so maybe running the ball almost every play was for a reason. maybe they used the talent that they had. It just wasnt enough tallent. that is not a coaching problem. besides heart beats tallent 9 times out of 10.

coaches should not be responsible for leadership. Leadership should come from the players. Maryville coaches don't say you are a leader. Leaders should step up and do it themselves. the freshmen won more than they lost.

I dont think the players would be coach to use the wrong leverage. That makes no sense. the coaches dont tell the quarterback who to throw the ball to. the quarterback makes that decision from the reads that HE makes. I never said anything about sharing a field so I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't know what goes on during practice. Do you go to practice??? Maybe i will have to leave work one day next year and go watch. I can probably guarentee that the little league and the high school do not run the same offense and defense. So the freshmen coaches had to coach the kids to run the high school program. Knowing that people support you is very inspiring. You don't what to let people down. I went to the maryville high school game and I saw that running back pick up the coach. That was very touching. Maybe the kids like the head coach.

no coach would player their starters if they had a lead at the half the week before the playoffs. especially in a game that as no implications on the region seeding. ask coach quarles himself. I did. he said douglas was going to play the first quarter only. I went to his house on halloween. he is a great guy. and his kid is adorable.

i didnt come from a rock.... I came from one of the best high school in the state. I came from one of the best college's ever. I have helped coach one of the best high schools in the state. I have one of the best educations their is to offer. I can spell. Billy has no idea what it takes to develop a 3-4a football player. I do. I actually heard that Billy actually practices with his players. I have also heard that he actually tackles them. That is hilarious. If you think that is teach kids to tackle and block you are mistaken. Mrs. Gentry was right when she wrote that article. What other fans do you expect to come to the football games. Lets invite the Tennessee titans to come watch!!! You people keep saying that the adiminstration needs to change for the program to be successful, and then you say the coaches need to be fired. Maybe the coaches would be better with a different administration. Maybe you should volunteer and help them coach?

coach q is a very fine coach that didn't want to get his starters hurt. it had nothing to do with lenoir city. he is a great coach, but come on every coach would have done the same thing.
