Grace will be one of the top teams in the district here is what they have: Three return that started at some point in the season last year--6' 5 230lb who was the Region Tourn MVP 2 years ago and I think is the best Center in the District (did not play last year after Christmas) but is playing this year. Two guards that started some last year and can score just didnt have to one will prob avg 14-15 points a game and the other will run team very well. 6' 4 jr football player who has improved greatly and saw limited action last year. Also,another Football player that did not play last year and will be a nice player this year. Two freshman, one is a Guard that will be one of the best freshman in Region can really play and is very athletic the other is a football player 6'2 ( up for football player of the week this week) who has gotten alot better and stronger and will play alot very athletic. Grace has always played very hard and i believe will suprise alot of people this year.

Grace at 5 is waaaaay too low. They will still compete for the district title even though they lost some very good players. The district will be much weaker than it has been in years and Grace still has some very good players

Dont worry they are ALL playing and excited about it. I spoke to them personally and their is no issue. Skippy is just trying to stir things up. What I wonder is why doesnt he just talk about his team and why is he sooooo obsessed with Grace to the extent of calling players. I assume he is an adult and must have more pressing things to do.

Mr.runandgun, Mr.pridemore does not have a certificate (yet).you cannot transfer your cert,and you must have either four or five years in tenn before you can, they are making him head of girls basketball operations and the private school asso,or what ever its called is working on getting him a cert,and yes i personally talked to cory and eric this week,they will not play for pridemore,so dont even tell me im wrong on this one, as soon as i heard he got the job,i made it a certianty to follow up,because after lamb got fired they were going to play again,cory was not with them during summer camp, so it took a while to get a hold of him but confirmed it myself this time.Now you need to do your homework! I am not going to name individual kids. One quit and prob wont even be at the school and the other young man did not quit last year but did not play for personal reasons. I am not going to argue about this issue, I believe you are trying to make an issue of a non issue.

Ha Ha If you knew me you would know why I laugh at that statement. I am an old man, I only wish I was a young man again. I am just a supporter of the program and its coaches, like everyone else on here.

Wow is this guy like Randy Moore or is he better? I know Randy did a good job of running both programs at Seymour they have signed their own death warrant,three senoirs have quit the program because of this.why would you hire the assistant of a program that cheated,this is supposed to be a christian school.where is the example?i thought they played pretty well for the interem over the summer a least they were having fun.This is going to kill any hope they had for this season,They finally get Williams and burdette back,then this happens,both have quit the program because of this hiring.What did you all do to get him the teaching certificate?I know for a fact he did not have one last week....You cannot be head coach without one. Wow, dont know where you get your information or its source but can I suggest you get another one. I dont mean to be unkind but I have to respond to untrue statements. Everyone is playing that played last year including Williams and are excited about this season. He does have a teaching cert. and you will see how good of a coach he is as the season goes on. He did VERY well as a head coach in Florida before moving here, Getting coach of the year awards several times in AAA ball. As for the cheating reference, the facts are what they are and were spelled out by TSSAA as being self reported by Grace , I really dont know what else you expect them to do.

Never went after or offered Darden. What are thos obvious reasons? They have had a pretty good program the last 3 years and still building.

Grace Christian has had a couple of good years. Are they ready to take it to the next level?? I think some people will be suprised even though they lost alot of talent off last years team they still have some really good players. Just depends on how strong the district is this year.

I agree with Harriman being the favorite but I just dont know anything about Tellico Plains. I do believe Greenback will be down because Titlow is really all they have because their JV was not very good at all. Oliver Springs will be the top team in the region and will be tough to beat. Grace will be competitve in the district and time will tell how they do after the change in coaching and the over all makeup of the team. They pretty much have had the same team for the last 3 years with the top 2 players in the region so we will see if they can win without them.

At least let me give an excuse if I have one and I dont. Yes I did mean in the district and I am not saying Grace will be anywhere near what they have been in the past three years, I was just saying Grace still could compete for the district because it is not real strong. Harriman should be the favorite. Should have some news on the coach sometime this week (I hope)

Two starters return both only played like half the year last year. One guard that quit because of previous coach issues and 6'6 kid (region Tourn MVP 2 years ago) that stoped playing in Dec because of other issues which are now taken care of. Another guard that was 6th man last year and showed alot of improvement and some younger kids that did well in JV last year dont think they lost a game. Also a couple of really athletic freshman one which will be a very good player. Just need someone to bring it all together.

It has taken way too long and has hurt the program by not playing summer ball. They only talked to a few people and should be ready to name a coach next week FINALLY. If they get the right guy in there and I think they will they will compete for district again even though they lost a ton of scoring and talent.

Man I just dont know what to think about all these public school transfers. TSSAA should look into this because there must be some kind of shady stuff going on right??? Because a kid just cant choose where he wants to go to school can he????HAHA

Man you are so off base on this one. His family did live here just too far from the school. And I would think twice before you call a Man names that you know nothing about. Have you ever met him or even spoke to him. It just shows your true person when you attempt to slander a person you know nothing about. He is a fine Man and has done nothing to deserve your unfounded and hateful comments.

It was a mistake and that was not the only reason for the change. And once again he was not a friend nor did he play for him in Florida. This boys brother in law came up to watch Grace play over the last few years because he had known the pridemore family there, and as a result of some things that happened in Florida he told the family about Grace so they moved here because they had family that lived in Greene county and they came and lived with them and that residence was more than 20 miles from the school. I didnt want to go into so much detail but too much is being said that just is not true

Agreed and I believe we are in agreement on most things except on the fact that someone did something in violation on purpose it was a mistake and everyone thought that the transfer was under the rules of TSSAA or he would have never played
