  1. I'd love to play for Kenwood's coach and LOOSE!
  2. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Prophet you are right. I'm sure that after 32 years of experience Coach Wilkins will start listening to message boards. I do think the Pats Fan's heart is in the right place! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  3. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> All these games will be close. Springfield showed to be much better than some thought. They are very athletic and Coach Darden has them playing very well together with excellent guard play. NE is for real and will be tough for everyone. Look for Clarksville to bounce back, but count out Dickson. Kenwood and NW will be a barnburner. Both are very very athletic and will get up and down the floor. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Hey give FastCat a break. He wanted his team to do well and they didn't live up to his expectations. It appears that maybe he's willing to give other teams some credit as well. I say everyone needs to just get along. Support your team and not put down others. Especially not individual kids. this should be a fun time for the kids playing high school sports and not have to carry extra pressure from public scrutiny. Save that for the big boys. Cat you have been forgiven for stepping across that line in the past, intentionally or not. By the way from I heard Kenwood does have some athletes!!!
  5. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Big wins tonight! Dickson really played well tonight. They never let Rossview in the game. Big win by NE over Clarksville(they are beatable). HC showed evidently must be pretty competitive as well(Hard work might pay off!). Springfield might be the biggest surprise. Everyone was picking them for last in district(No wait that was HC). They were next to last. Good win for the Yellow Jackets. This will be a very interesting year. I watched DC/Rossview. How many 3's did HC hit? They have shown to have at least 4 nice shooters. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. FYI, the kid you are talking was a starter last year and played an average of 28 minutes. Nice argument!!! The kid simply wants to focus on FB. HC may not win a game in district but it won't be because of what you say. By the way didn't they finish 3rd last year??? They are still very young with their best teams yet to come. Good luck Patriots!!! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  7. All coaches have to figure out what lineups play the best together. John Wooden once said, that he seldom played his best 5 players at the same time. He said he wanted certain people on the bench to bring in for various reasons. Every team needs guys who understand and will play their roles. You don't want 5 guys on the floor at the same time thinking they need to be the only one shooting or passing. It takes a blend of the qualities along with many more qualities to come up with a championship team. Any coach with his salt knows this. Very few fans do however. The coaches who can make their teams understand this will always compete. More than likely most great teams have this. Think about the Celtics and John Havlicek He was an all-star and didn't start. Auerbach must have been an idiot or playing favorites. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> (Someone please explain to all those confused what was meant by reference to the Celtics.) /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Again this will be a very interesting year in this district. Noone goes undefeated!!!! I'll guarantee that!!! May the games begin!!
  8. I have seen several of these teams play. There is no clear cut favorite. Home court may be huge! Clarksville has great guard play. Northeast is very athletic with a go to guy. DC has a lot of experience back. Rossview has returners at every position including size. NW is huge and athletic. Springfield is very athletic, but haven't seen them yet. Kenwood is "very" athletic, could be sleeper. HC returns a very solid team from last year that plays very hard! Not sure who to pick. I see no clear cut favorite as I stated earlier. Whichever team wants it the most will win this district!!! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  9. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> What a complete idiot you are!!!! They played at the boro last season. I definitely could see them returning to play. Will they win? They could, but that is a long ways off for any team at this time. Very few teams play any harder than DC. It is obvious you have an axe to grind. DC has one of the top coaches in Tn. They some of the top players in class 2. They can't control their district. I am not from Liberty and have seen some of the best teams for over 30 years. DC could win it all. Yes, I saw the game you say DC is complaining about. It was a tragedy that Liberty had to win like that. The game was very poorly officiated. DC had players removed from the game with only 3 fouls because of incompetence at the scorer's table(hopefully it was a mistake). It was obvious to anyone who knows the game and was not biased that DC got the shaft and was very rudely treated. So cheer for your team and don't put down others. You need to realize that when you favor one team as you do (and that is fine) that things might not always be exactly the way they seem. It is always easy to see your team in the best light! Good luck to Liberty and DC!! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  10. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Legitimate question, how can Maplewood stop the Big Red Train from running over them??? HC's running game is way too powerful!! Please seriously reply if you have an idea. I don't see it happening! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  11. After HC gets done with them they will be glad to think it was Mapplewood and not Maplewood who was demolished by the Patriots!!!! There is no way they can even come close to matching up with the Big Red. Maplewood what really makes you think you can????? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  12. If you don't think HC will have a running clock then you haven't seen them at their best. They have rolled over many a team this year. Maplewood is NOTHING special. They haven't really played a good team all year. HC will dominate and it will be over by half. Dominuque and Marsalis will have 100+ yards each as well as Tyrell picking up another 100. Maplewood please bring a big crowd that always adds to the atmosphere plus you can see your team play their last game! Listen for the horns, you'll love'em! Wait are the horns going to be alloweed this week, I heard the TSSAA was not going to allow them. Oh well with or withou horns Maplewood is done! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  13. One impressive note on Patriots is they are winning without their football players. From what I've been told they did beat Dyer County & Liberty in preseason scrimmages as well. Whatever you can take from a scrimmage is not really known, but they can at least compete with some good teams. Kenwood, real be a good test for Patriots. The Knights are bigger and faster. I do believe the Patriots will compete, however. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  14. So what about Brighton? Can they keep the game close? Who are their players? What do they do well??
  15. I know there will be a huge crowd. Isn't it a shame that Maplewood's season will be over at half??? Patriots WILL have a running clock in 2nd half!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  16. I AGREE HC WILL ROLL OVER MAPLEWOOD. I STATED WAY BACK THAT HC WOULD EASILY MAKE IT SEMI'S AND NOT BE CHALLENGED UNTIL THEN. MELROSE COMPETED BETTER THAN EXPECTED, BUT THOSE THINGS DO HAPPEN. HOWEVER, WITH HILLSBORO FUMBLING THEIR OPPORTUNITIES AWAY NOW THE PATS WILL CRUISE TO FINALS!!! HC HAS HAD THEIR OFF GAME IN PLAYOFFS AND STILL PREVAILED. HELLO BORO!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  17. Anyone with any smarts at all knows you are not trying to make a positive comment here. Drop it! It's obvious you should to never bring a kid up in any negative manner. This board is to cheer on your team and never single out a kid negatively! Don't ev /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> en say you weren't trying to! Nor that you didn't! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. Good post, experience is a HUGE key to victory. HC does seem more mature and I agree DC may be very good!
  19. Stupid post. What happened in game in your opinion? Last year's Clarksville would have won. Why not this time???
  20. Wait and see, there is no way Maplewood can stay with the Patriots. Without a great passing attack they will stopped in their tracks and they cannot stop the Pats!
  21. WESTVIEW has won their first two games pretty handily as well. This should be a very good game! Westview can really shoot! Too close to call this one! I do, however, like HC's intensity on defense and good teamwork!
  22. LOCATION, will help determine this and every game Liberty plays. I saw them play Dyer Co. and that was a very one-sided affair. It's a shame too, because Liberty has a great program, but shouldn't try to gain unfair advantages.
  23. They will be tough!! They are big and have adequate guard play!
  24. Saw them last night vs U Hts. Kentucky. I don't think they looked as good as last year. How good are they?? How could they lose to U Hts?
  25. Nice post, don't you think he knows??? By the way who is he??
