  1. After this weekend East Division u-14 games in Chattanooga, where Redoubt hosted PSA95, BWSC Elite and BWSC Select... PSA v BWSC SELECT 1-1 TIE PSA v BWSC ELITE 0-1 ELITE REDOUBT v BWSC SELECT 2-0 REDOUBT REDOUBT v BWSC ELITE 1-0 REDOUBT REDOUBT v PSA 2-3 PSA Unofficially, this puts FC ALLIANCE with 9 points, PSA95 with 7, REDOUBT with 6, and the two BWSC teams, with one game remaining against each other, numerically out...Therefore, FC ALLIANCE and PSA95 will advance to the state tournament from the Eastern Division, as the two top point teams... D
  2. Well, Premier Soccer Academy '95 was able to pull off a great game, and won 3-2 against Redoubt. This allowed them to nudge Redoubt out by only one point in the state standings, and therefore, PSA95 qualifies as the second place team in the Eastern Division, and therefore goes to the state tournament in May, along with Knoxville's FC ALLIANCE... We'll need the next month off to recover and rebuild injured players.... D
  3. Was hoping it would not come down to it, but the PSA tie and loss yesterday, and the two Redoubt wins (Redoubt beat BWSC Elite 1-0 in the rain this morning), now puts the 2nd spot for the Eastern division to be decided between the two local Chattanooga teams, which will play at 2pm today...a loss or tie for PSA, puts Redoubt into the state tourney, and a PSA win, puts PSA into the state tourney...FC ALLIANCE is now a lock for the other spot
  4. CORRECTION: PSA O BWSC ELITE 1 Brentwood scored within the first minute.....PSA never recovered, but had some good scoring potentials...with only one sub, it showed....(Of course, I would like to think the fact my daughter is out for the season, post-knee surgery, was the issue...we have struggled all season to maintain a healthy roster size, and it has caught up to us...we actually have 4 out of the 12 that are actually u-13 players, playing up) Game Time for PSA v Redoubt (Both local Chattanooga teams) has been moved to 2 pm to possible offset bad weather forcasted.. D
  5. There will be some pretty good games this weekend in Chattanooga at Redoubt Soccer Complex for anyone interested...as part of the u-14 Div I league play (Eastern Division), these games may very well finally determine what teams qualify for the state tournament in May... (FC ALLIANCE-Knoxville has completed their league games) April 18 1 PM PSA vs BWSC Select Field 8 6 PM Redoubt vs. BWSC Select Field 8 6 PM PSA vs. BWSC 95 Elite Field 1 April 19 9 AM Redoubt vs. BWSC 95 Elite Field 8 4 PM Redoubt vs. PSA Field 8
  6. We have been splitting out time between Hixson YMCA and East Ridge....ER fields took a beating at their Spring FLing Tournament....Why do you ask ? D
  7. Laura plays for Premier Soccer Academy 95 (at least in spirit, she is post knee surgery for about ten more weeks)...You all blew us away at the state tourney last year (not to make excuses, but we couldn't use our regular keeper, and had rostered a rec keeper who had never played with us and it showed, it didn't take long for your girls to recognize that weak link)...Us parents were very impressed with your level of skills...Laura hopes to play for Notre Dame in some capacity next year...(I grew up in Brentwood actually...went to Father Ryan)....Noticed the refurbished Franklin High School in January when I took an indoor team up to Franklin to play an indoor tourney at Robert Ring....the school looked huge ! I tried to send a message to you, but your messages are turned OFF... D

  11. All games that weekend are to be played at Redoubt....PSA95 is based out of East Ridge (but currently separate from ERSA), as we are a separate club...we opted to play all games at Redoubt for convenience...
  12. I had been negligent in my Coach T reading lately, glad to have you onboard...still need to read some of your other posts, I see you have been busy...
  13. Since the state can be a little slow in posting league standings, thought I would start them here: EASTERN DIVISION: March 7 Redoubt95 vs. FC Alliance Black 2-3 (FC Alliance Black) PSA95 vs. FC Alliance Black 3-1 (PSA95) April 4/5 FC Alliance Black vs. BWSC Select FC Alliance Black vs. BWSC 95 Elite April 18 1 PM PSA95 vs BWSC Select 6 PM Redoubt95 vs. BWSC Select 6 PM PSA95 vs. BWSC 95 Elite April 19 9 AM Redoubt95 vs. BWSC 95 Elite 4 PM PSA95 vs. Redoubt95
  14. Leave it to the politicians to find one more thing to get involved with (and screw up)... D
  15. Sorry, been forgetting to look at this forum... our player is out 6 weeks, minimum, due to an ankle fracture (small bone), not as devistating as originally thought, plus a significant sprain...she will miss our Division I league game this weekend..ugh...plus we have our center mid out right now due to a knee injury she suffered during an ODP game in Texas .....Our limited roster is hurting pretty bad, especially during this critical league timeframe... D
  16. If lovely weather, you mean not hotter than 40 degrees Sunday morning, then you are right ! I'll be there managing (as the team eye candy, ya' know) the PREMIER SOCCER ACADEMY u-14 girls (PSA 95)...coached by Pedro Kozak....We have been asked to play up in the u-15/16 division due to too many u-14 teams...should be an interesting lesson for them, but heh, they will be matched up against this age girls next year in high school... PSA 95 starts their Division I league play the next Saturday against FC ALLIANCE-BLACK from Knoxville....followed by a trip to Birmingham for the Vulcan Cup March 14/15th.. D
  17. Well, thought I would add one last entry, since the indoor season ended this weekend. The u-14 girls team, THE HEAT, won the East Ridge (Camp Jordan) end of season tournament, with a 3-2 sudden death overtime win over the East Ridge Shockers (u-14 girls). The HEAT was also undefeated during the regular season.... Whew, now I can put up my coaching hat, and put on my manager's hat for the regular outdoor season with PSA 95... David
  18. Although, you may have to really look for them, they prefer to sit quietly in the stands, sharing company with their father, and only on a rare occassion are they actually heard, and if so, it is yelling support for their sister... Right Don ? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> David...
  19. I hate to admit it, but I agree with MVM...most replies from actual players (at least on the Girl's soccer forum) seem to be honest and sincere, without any bashing, etc...actually, very mature... I would hope that some of the actual players would be able to enlighten us to their perspectives, versus bleacher parent insight... D
  20. Just curious if there are any u-14 Girls CoachT people that look at this forum....spread the word .... D
  21. In an unbelievable turn of events, THE HEAT wins the u14/16 MLK Indoor Tournament....I'll set up the scenario: The HEAT lost our third game to a u-16 team from Cookeville, 3-1 yesterday, which at the time knocked us out of contention for the tournament, (My team was way too relaxed and confident from two previous shutouts, to appreciate that this Cookeville team wanted to win this game badly, after losing earlier to the ER SHOCKERS 3-0, and it showed...the other team played to win, our team was just there) As the schedule had the ER SHOCKERS playing a team (u-16 Thrashers) today that had previously not been very strong (and the HEAT had beat 4-0), the SHOCKERS were in a great postion to win the tournament based on the point system..all they needed was a win, or even a tie......0-0 with less than a minute to play, the Thrashers took advantage of the keeper out of the box, the ball got behind her, and a tap in goal gave the Shockers a loss, so the HEAT goes from 2nd, to first.....WOW.... As per the YELLOW CARD (it was actually a four minute yellow !)....we deserved it...my player, twice, had kicked the ball after being called for a foul...she needed the cool off..it was appropriate to get her to learn some sportsmanship... D
  22. 2nd game MLK Indoor at Camp Jordan: The Heat 3 v Signal Mountain 96 0 The Heat plays Cookeville Impact next...( a shutout clinches the tournament for us, beating ER Shockers, on point system) East Ridge Shockers 95 7 v Screaming Eagle (Signal Mountain MS ?) 3 East Ridge Shockers 95 3 v Cookeville Impact 0 Soddy Daisy Girls were losing to Notre Dame Girls with 10 minutes left...Go Irish !
  23. Won 4-0 against a u-16 team (not select level)..they had a very good keeper, and we only play 30 minutes total, which helped moderate the score...we play twice today, against Signal Mt Storm 96, and a team from Cookeville, not sure of their status....kinda strange set up for the tournament...there are 6 u14/16 teams, and we only play three games total, based on point system, yet we do not play everyone...luck of the draw who we match up against...not the best set up....because the other strong team (probably East Ridge 95 Shockers) never goes head to head with us...
  24. I was wondering how long it would take for you to make a comment....no schedule yet for MLK....I think there are only four teams in our division.... D
