Ravenwood defeated Independence tonight 55-48 in what was a very physical game. A technical was given out both teams shot quite a bit of free throws. Ravenwood moves to 13-3 (4-1) and Independence now 1-4 in the district. RHS looks real good heading into the game on Friday against Centennial. SHould be a good one

This won't be the only time McGavock chokes this year so try to hold back the tears metro ballin. anyways. . . .games tonight. should be fun. I will also be attending the brentwood/centennial game to watch a couple of players. McLemore and Kelly are on my papers tonight.

i agree with dist11fan. Let's bring Ravenwood back into this one. The Raptors beat Whites Creek this summer by 20 or more i can't remember the final score. Now did McGavock choke or are they just amazingly overrated?

actually Ravenwood beat Hillsboro by 12. And their two losses have come by 20 points combined. 1 to Page and 19 to Franklin. Franklin is a very good team so hard work is too be expected when facing them. But Centennial is a very good team also and will no doubt come out with fire next time they face the Burros. You can't really say anything because Ravenwood took it to Hillsboro. Now that that is out of the way, Friday night. fair enough phillyfan. I guess you can be on my good side. but in all seriousness I'm scouting a few players in the District 11-AAA for college ball but I don't go back and forth from the college to TN. I send tapes and talk over the phone. I'm what is called a travel scout. We will be able to see the athleticism take this game to the team that deserves it. I'm excited and can't wait to see these two teams dish it out. 7:30 tomorrow night.

I'm loving the arguments. And how about this, I'm not a kid sitting in study hall writing about these schools. I'm actually new on the job scouting. Heard there's a bunch of talent in MidTN. I'm coming to the game Friday and I'm with RavenRap and TNScout. TNScout isn't the only one that picked RHS to win district. I did also. Ravenwood kicked off their district play tonight against Hillsboro. Ravenwood 62 Hillsboro 50 RHS goes 6-1 and will face Franklin on Friday for the second district game of the season. other scores? I saw Centennial and Overton play and then at halftime raced to the Hillsboro Ravenwood game... updates?

Ravenwood beat David Lipscomb tonight 54-47. The Raptors sweep the Mustangs and go 2-0 against them this year. The Raptors had some sloppy times but closed it out. Big win for the Raptors as they go 5-1. They have Hillsboro and Franklin next week to start off the district. - Any thoughts on the district opening up.

Does Centennial play Thursday night? I think the best midTN matchup will be tomorrow night.. Ravenwood vs. David Lipscomb. It was big the first time so why wouldn't it be big the second time. Hopefully I can make it.

But on the otherside, when the Raptors lost to Page, the Patriots shot 50 percent from 3 and had 7 turnovers, while the Raptors couldn't hit from the outside, and had 8 or 9 turnovers. Definately not an excuse for their loss but definately a factor.Ravenwood improved to 4-1 beating Stratford in overtime by 11. The Raptors didn't hold a lead the entire game until the 4th quarter with 6 seconds left. Hearing this from coaches that have played this Ravenwood team and will play this team, from what I heard they don't look to bad....pretty good actually.. I was not able to make the game but Ravenwood pulls out another win. They beat Spring Hill who I hear is surprisingly good. Spring Hill 51 Ravenwood 54 RHS (3-1) The district 11-AAA teams are all looking pretty good. Even Hillwood. Surprisingly. Oh and Stratford beat Hunters Lane by 1. Is Hunters Lane any good? Or is Stratford just really improved??

Ravenwood gets past Culleoka with a win 52-48. Ravenwood is looking strong and held Demario Williams to 15 pts. Keith Morris put up 17 and Watkins had 13. Both teams go to 2-1. Ravenwood plays Spring Hill tomorrow at 7:30. I'm liking the Raptors.

Morris has gotten letters from some D1 colleges. I have heard word that Moorehead State is very interested in him and earlier in the off season Furman was sending him many letters. As the season goes on, depending on how he does, will result in more letters possibly.
