Does location of game really affect fumbles? Now, I have heard the officiating up that way is a wee bit partial to the home team. Is that what you meant?? That the officials will help Hampton??

Goose or anyone else that knows.............was this a sanctioned TSSAA event? wouldn't it have to be? I just never thought 2 teams with as dismal records as these two would be allowed to play past regular season if they had not made playoffs or bowl(which i thought you had to have a .500 record or higher for that).

I like the idea of a all-star game. The thing is TSSAA requires the participants to have exhausted their eligibility. so it would be only seniors, which probably would be a good thing. I think it would be close if not favor Morgan Co on the girls side, and probably always a blowout victory for Roane Co on the boys side.

After doing a little bit of research, Greenback brings back an all-state post in Hammontree, but lost point guard who was a 4 year starter. Harriman lost no one off last year's team that was on the team at the end at least. Midway lost 3 seniors from last year's team that beat HHS and knocked Rockwood out in tourney. Rockwood lost a lot from last year. Coach and a lot of seniors. BUT.......I think they will be the surprise of this district. I think Lady Tigers will split w/ HHS and Midway and sweep Grace. Grace lost Paige Slusher, but still has Kite. I think they will struggle this year,,,,unless they have a transfer come in...?????

Was his dad/uncle a player there in early to mid 80's? Name escapes me.

What is the name of the QB @ meigs? What grade is he in?

ptguard12, does TSD and Knox Christian not have a girls team this year? If the Berean girls arent playing a full district schedule, will they be last seed in tourney like their boys??

I think Greenback , HHS, surprise........ Rockwood, then toss up after that. Maybe Midway, I don't know about KCS,TSD,Berean.

well, i think it is GCS's to lose. They had the nice win streak last year, then lost a couple down the stretch. I think Greenback and Midway will be much improved. HHS will be a lot like GB and MW were last year, young/inexperienced/athletic. I still havent heard much about Berean. They will play in the district tourney at the end, but will be seeded last because of not playing a full district schedule. That will be not so good for Grace i believe. IT'S GET'N CLOSE!!!!

goosevol, u r right. the SOR boys have prolly read and heard about that for the last 2 weeks. i'd say the coaches have kept it ringing in their ears and now they are ready to shut this high-octane ram offense down. Midway 44 GCS 17

how does tssaa sanction this game? i thought this was a joke. i have never heard of an extra game being played as a fundraiser. i know there are bowl games out there for teams that were not in playoffs, but i thought they had to be a .500 team or higher to get in those.

Greenback gave Midway fits with the pass.............AND STILL LOST 67-38!!!!!!! Coalfield down 43-7 and scored points late to make it look respectable. Midway will win this one easily, but i am sure their staff is not taking Grace lightly.

Midway is pretty good. If 9-1 is pretty good.... They seem to reload nowadays. Is the talent going to run out anytime soon? Maybe it's the coaching.

I know Harriman lost the core of their team that made a good post-season run to sub-state, Rockwood has K so you know he'll have something up his sleeve, Grace had a great regular season but fizzled in the post-season, Greenback and Midway are going to be better, Knox Christian was surprisingly good last year---don't know what they return. Can anyone tell me about Berean? I heard that they are probably the best team in the district, but won't play a complete district schedule because they came in late.

If I am not mistaken, they moved to either district 1 or 2. Less travel and less competition.

Is there a new coach at Sunbright? If so, where did Shoemaker go?

Is there any team that can compete with the lady kees? Cosby has moved out of the district, Harriman is unproven but gaining momentum, Grace ?, Midway?, Rockwood?............How good are the Berean Christian girls?
