Well, it's been a great 4 years, and I'm really gonna miss playing here. I love SHS and all these girls with all my heart. It's really sad, but like we all said, we played our hearts out all 4 years through the blood, sweat, and tears. But it's far from over.. when we beat Kingston Monday evening, we'll have 2 games after that in the district tourney. I really hope to be playing in that championship game. I just thought I'd say thanks to all the parents for their support and the girls for putting up with me the past few years. I love you guys! But especially to Coach Kries, Coach Murley, and Coach Sexton, I really appreciate you all. It's been a good year. I am VERY thankful I got to play under you guys. You all helped me tremendously. Well, good luck in the future Lady Highlanders. I'll definately miss playing with you guys!

Well, we beat Gibbs tonight 53-41. We played hard, our defense was strong, and our shots were falling. McCreary Central is next, and we CAN and WILL beat them.

First of all, we are not afraid of being mistreated. Coach Kries is the best thing to come our way in a LONG time. Second, most of us do play with heart. Sure, we have some problems, mostly getting our shots to fall, but the tournament is all that really matters. I'd love to win more season games, but I'm more concerned about the tournment. The season is still early, and we have time to make things better. Our defense is really good, we just need to cut back on turn-overs and hit those shots that aren't falling for us. We'll be ok.

Well, the game has been called due to weather. I'm not sure if it will be made up since it isn't a district game. We still have February though.

I know I'm kind of late responding to this, but I haven't had time til now. No artificial noisemakers of any kind are allowed. One of the coaches at school got a letter on Friday that said even megaphones aren't allowed by the fans, only the cheerleaders can have them. If bands play the entire time, it's up to the refs to make them stop. The band director should know this though, and not start playing while the game is going on.

I don't know how well we're looking, but I do know that on the court things feel more intense. Everbody seems to be playing with more heart, and I for one am really looking forward to showing everybody what we've got. Coach has kinda mixed things up from what we're used to, and it really seems to be working. Practices go over better, all of us seem to try harder, and it just feels good to be out there. I'm really excited about this season. Watch out for us.

Whether or not anybody realizes it, Scott County beat Anderson County Thursday night and did a good job. We may not be the biggest or have the best shooters, but we're quicker than everybody. Also, people seem to forget about us cause they think we're not the best, but just look for us to finish in the top 3 in the district.
