  1. slim your right to some extent but it starts at home no way to argue that. My dad seen me get up and kick another player in the head well let's just say if I was getting my butt handed to me by the guy across from me on the field, that would have been nothing compared to what I got later! Folks say what they want too but it starts with momma and daddy and that coach is either going to win games or they will get someone who does!

First off It is the coaches team...not the parents team...so the Coach IS the parent per say...secondly, some of these kids need a better role model than their parents, and thirdly the reason i said that was because of the way GP last coach was fired...because he punished some of the kids for wrongdoing...he got canned... -_-

  2. Sissy Mtn was the best 4a team in the 2a division that year. By far the best team. I watched them pound Trinity Christian on their way to a 14-0 record

They barely squeaked by TC in the Semi's...TC was down by less than a TD and had the ball with a minute to go in the game...unfortunately, we threw a pick 6...after seeing how SM dominated TCA in the championship...i feel safe in saying that would have been TC's 3rd gold ball in a row... :popcorneater:

  3. Slim

Are you saying that TC should have scored 2 more times WITHOUT 8-9-10 15 yard personal fouls? This doesn't make sense to me, TC gets 150 yards in penalties against GP and this keeps TC from scoring 2-3 more times? It would appear to me TC should have scored 4-5 more times with 150 yards from the refs. I do agree with your point about matching up with the homegrown kids, especially with 150 yards of home cooked meals. Best make sure you get the same crew next week. I heard there are quite a few artists in Marion, better make sure someone checks MC's bus for paint cans.

Ain't no home cooking when its your players cussing the referees...kicking our boys on the ground, tackling out of bounds...y'all did it all...no home cooking necessary...homer... :popcorneater:

  4. I know Fryday against the Goodpastors...one of our boys made a tackle on #29 for GoodPastor and he got up and kicked our boy in the head...the referees threw a flag for unportsmanlike conduct...but did not eject him from the game...I believe that should have been an ejection...same as a punch...what y'all think?...Keep in mind...they had already had one player ejected for cursing the refs earlier in the game...GoodPastor finished the game with 6 personal fouls...they also played that dirty the first game at their place, refs just didn't throw the flags.

I personally think the Coaches are to blame for there kids acting that way...they must be scared of losing there jobs if they punish a child... :popcorneater:

  5. Gallatin forgot to put their 3-7 record on that link you posted from last year and they were 6-4 this year so they are obviously down.  Goodpasture finished 5-6 last year in the private division and 6-6 this year, so that tells me they aren't very good as well.  None of this matters though, not sure why you keep on and on about it.

Quit trying to play it down....Mary Ann played a powder puff schedule...TC played an amazing schedule...

7 teams on TC schedule made the playoffs...how many on Mary Ann...2...and 1 of them spanked y'all..

and that 6-4 Gallatin team is still in the 5A playoffs with only 8 teams left... :popcorneater:

Unfortunately for Mary Ann...this is NOT the same TC team you guys played last year...and like Ambassador said all year long last season... if you want to beat TC...last year was the year to do it.

  6. They have been using 7 man official crew in play offs for a while slim. They also bring a striped chain crew and most of the time there are a few officials present for "training".

The TSSAA pays the officials during playoffs out of their cut I do believe.

According to MF.....This experiment to increase the number of guys in striped shirts from five to seven will take place in a select few games during the 2013 regular season here in Tennessee (mostly those games that are being aired on national television) and all playoff games this fall beginning with quarterfinal round action in November.

  7. Slim...you should become a ref...would be interesting

You are right...i need to get with that Welch and Young boy and start training this summer... :popcorneater:

I noticed last night that there was way more refs than in regular season...thats way more opportunity for the yellow laundry...and i assume the reason they went to $8 admission,,,

but just to be honest,,,i'd pay more for LESS referees,,,

  8. A gordonsville team that lost what 18 seniors and played friendship without a mr football finalist. They are both really good wins for trousdale I'm just saying. Your crazy if you think your just gonna show up and walk to the semis.

That Gordonsville team was still better than 7 of the teams y'all played this year...Chattanooga Central...really....pfffft...11-22-13 the road ends for Mary Ann.. :popcorneater:

  9. First off...it should be required that all referee's wear numbers on there jersey...secondly they need to be "recognized" before the game with their names and years as a referee in TN...Now listen up you old pathetic zebras...holding could be called on every freaking play....IF a hold occurs more than 20 yards away from the play...please do not throw a flag, it will not affect the outcome of the play...kind of like an uncatchable ball...don't throw a interference flag when the ball is 15 yards away from the receiver...please let these kids play ball...your job is to make sure no "dirty" play is going on...good clean football...a lot of these flags are petty and highly contraversial...and if you are going to punish a team...make sure it is a private school... :hungry:

    oh...and AMEN!
