  1. wow, but you did show up one day for philosophy. I thought of the comment more as a "tongue in cheek" jab at your program myself.
  2. maybe he did lack some decision making skills, but his arm strength and accuracy put Sallis' to shame. He was never given a real chance because his parents didn't have as much pull. What my post did say is that few assistants had left TC and became successful. They haven't turned any programs around anywhere. Brown is the freshmen head coach, so it is his responsibilty. And although you love Brown, savor each moment because in 3 seasons at most, he will be gone. And thank you for noticing I am a non-devil. And the "older brother" who was so "over-rated", was I believe salutatorian, and is in med school. That is the point of high school anyways, isn't it.
  3. "perdictions?" should have known it was a Riverdale student......don't go to class, just play ball for the Warriors!!!!!
  4. you do not know of what you speak. don't personally attack me because you don't agree. Lebanon is one of the most political towns I have ever seen when it comes to sports. Secondly, I didn't say that Brown wasn't a good D-coordinator at TC, what I did say is that it did not parlay into success as a head coach at another school. Go back and read the post for yourself genius. I know for a fact, first hand that Brown is way too influenced by the boosters to give him a fair evaluation. I also am not talking about Maynard, but the Walker kid that was the back up and out performed Sallis everytime he stepped onto the field. Check the stats on that one, hoss. The other guy has done fairly well at Riverdale, although you would have to be a complete idiot to undo 15 years of success. By the way, how have those Freshmen teams Brown has been coaching turned out the last 2 years? You deal in fantasy and I deal in fact. It must be sad to be you.
  5. yes that is true about Brown, however, the coaches that leave TC are not very successful when they leave. Their program is a product of those kids playing football together their entire lives and running the same offense and defense from pop warner through high school. Still not knockong Brown, just doubting his ability to take Lebanon to the State Championship. However, stranger things have happened. I also remember several times over the last 2 seasons when Sallis' backup came in and got Lebanon back into a game and outplayed him. But, because of parent and booster politics, Sallis kept his job. That is a fact and anyone that denies it is kidding themselves.
  6. you don't know me, so please don't make assumptions about why I feel the way I do. When I played against Gallatin, their fans threw trash at us and taunted us all night long. That's why the fans sit on the visitor's side....to intimidate.....but, we won anyways
  7. you mistake talking trash for stating fact......I'm sorry for you. It is very hard to beat a team twice in one season, and I don't think WC is taking anything for granted.....2-8 last season. I just happen to think they have the horses and leadership to do it again.
  8. too bad they couldn't play at WC, it is a long drive and WC already won there once.....sort of reminds me of Titans going to Jacksonville and winning all the time a few years ago
  9. heard MJ has trouble with anything called a "Wildcat"......I say keep it that way Tullahoma
  10. I was at the game, and I actually have the word on officiating from very good authority(a TSSAA official) You definitely did handle them pretty easily in the run game. However, it is hard to get a passing game going when jerseys are literally being pulled away from receivers bodies.....watch the tape, you will see it. Defensively I thought WC held up really well considering they got very little help offensively. Should be a good rematch in 2nd Round. Wonder if history will repeat itself?
  11. I have faced Gallatin as a part of a couple fo programs. Honestly, I generally do not like the trash talking that comes from their players and fans. But it is always a good night when one can go to Gallatin and hush the crowd.....and I have personally been a part of that twice, with 2 different programs.
  12. wow....are you kidding???? I have never known that Watertown success is a pre-cursor to success at the 5A level. They haven't won their own region in what, 100 years. What in the world can be learned in watertown to give birth to a state title? And Sallis, with a heart of a Lion? Up until this year he couldn't even take full hold of the starting job. And, now that he has he can't stay healthy. Lebanon will not get past Smyrna, and if they do, WC or Riverdale will absolutely eat their lunch in round 3. They are a 4th place seed and that is where they belong, and if they survive the pit, congrats, but that will be it. There is no "we" or "us" in team either, but there is a "me".....just saying.....
  13. Middle Tennessee, have played Gallatin in the past.......been part of teams that have beaten them and have lost to them. Have coached against them, and have just been a spectator in the stands. I am just saying not to let them get on a roll.
  14. Let's not get too excited about Coffee Co. doing things the right way all the time. I know from experience that they trash talk and can play as dirty as the next guy. Must be why they can't win a region title....you reap what you sow....... They were whipped in week 5, and could have been worse with better officiating
  15. There may be more coaching changes in 4-5A then people expect. By the start of next season, Siegel, Blackman, and Oakland could all have new faces roaming the sidelines. We will also probably get an idea of the loyalty of Aric at Central. Will he use his new found success to go back closer to home in Sumner County (lower classification, easier job, maybe even Springfield) or does he believe that he can build WC into a consistent contender?
  16. I am sure Brown saved himself in Lebanon by making the playoffs. Look for him to make a move after next season, because after this year's juniors are seniors and they graduate, he has jack squat........I don't know if they have won a freshmen game in 2 years.......
  17. personally, I cannot stand the Gallatin program. However, letting these guys in the playoffs may have opened a whole new can of worms for their opponents. Let's get them out quick before they really start believing in themselves and become a problem.
  18. well, I have been hoping for weeks that someone could change the stupid title of this thread and correct the spelling. It is spelled FRAUD, which your spelling teacher must be one. Riverdale is not that impressive. They have been lucking up and holding on in a lot of games. Would have probably not beaten WC without a Rutherford County crew......3 riverdale grads called the game. Talk about home-cooking....... BTW, this is not my first post, just first this year, but had to get a new account because I forgot my other one. Had promised to myself not to get involved this year, but can't take it anymore
