34-30 Final. Congrats to AC for bringing the Gold back back to East TN where it belongs! Quad 1 representing again!
Thanks Swipes! What a day for Mavland! I had to be out of town but finally found a stream. What a game!

Congratulations AC no one can take away from what you accomplished even if I think your players, fanbase and community are classless
Why thank you, that warms our hearts!

As an AC fan, I admit I've got a bit of PTSD from GV. Seeing them come back years ago I never count them out. I've been a bit skeptical of AC all year but they have proven to be more resilient than I thought they could.
GV didn't have a team speed advantage but they do have some good athletes and linemen. GV had no answer for the passing game. They looked like they lost composure once AC got ahead. They looked lost playing from behind while AC had good composure.
I'll talk a little smack and hope that the devil posters come in here and take their medicine. The one in most happy for is Mavsinflight. Dude deserves this. He's the biggest fan and always upbeat about the mavs no matter what. Sometimes to the chagrin of a lot posters here.
Enjoy this one MIF. You've earned it more than anyone.
Very good wrap up.

No GV advantage in team speed.

GV very undisciplined.

Yep, Bow yourn head when you say the name of the great John Bean.
these morons in the stands that criticize and second guess these coaches, don't even have a clue how little they really know about what is going on down on the field. It drives me crazy, I cannot sit in the stands anymore, just can't take it.
Absolute truth on everything you said.

I'd say that's right. lol. John Bean reference.
Great man, may he RIP. And that's for sure. If I was a coach our record would be reversed this year.

Have you stood on the sideline for every home game?
Not every one but lots. The MS coaches typically do but that doesn't make them a HS coach. Many community leaders do. It's a tight nit bunch. But that doesn't make us/them coaches.

What if they stand on the sidelines of high school games? Could they be considered a coach then?
I have stood on the sidelines of AC games but I don't think anyone would consider me a coach.

What on earth is Elizabethton doing??
No clue but glad they tried to run it rather than passing. As FMV said, E’s QB kept them in it.

Impressed. I had worried about this one. Good game AC.

Yeah MavMax people can have very legit accusations but at least FormerMav accepted the kids are important. And really at least now days football for one is becoming more and more commercialized. I see it in a lot of programs and AC is one of them too in my opinion, only. It's sad though that's the way all programs are moving. It's like move that way or get left behind.
All in all Former Mav is at least being honorable to mention for the kids sake.
Yeah it no fun if we or at least I don't have someone to fight with, keep the high scoring boards on fire...
I very much disagree with FormerMav about the admin at AC. IMO they are great and have moved the ball positively in all sports and AC continues to be a very good academic school. So I have no idea what's not to like as to them.
Yes, there's a commercialization that in most all aspects of life and that no doubt bleeds over into even high school and, before that, youth sports. Hard for that not to be the case with social media saturation such as it is. Now we're showing our age though, !

Hard to know how to take a feller like FormerMav. He doesn't sound bitter to me and does have some knowledge about AC. And there's nothing wrong with some realism every now and then. By the same token, it's a little sketchy since he's got a recent account but maybe he forgot his old PW and had to create another one. Also, giving some love to MIF makes me think he's legit.
I've been around a long time too and I've seen a lot of deranged AC haters on here. That hotdog guy comes to mind.
Anyway, back to the game. I see AC having their way with Fulton. Many a great battle between these programs over the years. Speaking of Kerr, those were some great games when he was here. I think the record is 8 and 7. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Where have all the old Fulton posters gone?

Way to go, AC! Hate that Powell’s QB got hurt!!

Very much looking forward to this game. Thinking that Tony Lambert can get the D to step it up a notch.

How about former standout AC QB Tanner Williams taking the OC-QB coaching slot there! Good to see him moving up in the coaching ranks. Good luck Coach Hughes, Coach Willliams and Halls.

Brent was also at Powell during 2013 with Tobi Kilgore, and I believe with him at Karns for at least a year before he became a certified teacher.
Great young guy.
And I don't know Kevin well, but his reputation as a solid football coach is well respected.
Both would be great choices.
I believe he also coached for a little while with the Price twins at Campbell County.
All the marbles...Anderson County vs Pearl Cohn
