Who plays tomorrow and when

Now that the Lady Tigers are going into the Xmas tourney 3-7 correct me if im wrong, obiously it was not the instant success we hope for. In all reality no one can just have instant success I know i have made some bold predictions so far on here because i have seen enough ball over the years to know these DC girls are closer than most people think.. But in all the games except Upperman the Lady tigers have been in the game to some what. The girls have to have confidence instead of worring how are they going to get the lead back but knowing they are going to win.

With the nera white tournament coming up does DC stand a chance and will this be where they start getting it going and realize what they can do. I have seen these girls enough to know they can succeed but they start plying not to lose than to win. They are afaird of failure, listen girls the wins will come you just have to put all the negative comments aside and believe in yourself who cares what my opinion is or anyone elses. And for poeple say its bad to say things such as Schockely is the best coach can i not have my opinion. If you dont agree with me so what maybe your right he might not be i still think he puts his girls in position to win white county or no white county he has had success at other places to not that like he did at white county but still to take a warren county team to a 20 win plus season you have to be a lititle above average to do that. But you know i may be wrong he might just be a nice individual who had a lot of talent but he has been to where many coaches never go has 400 plus acording to that smithville paper and has the respect for several coaches. But for those that think he doesnt know what he is doing or past his prime we will just have to see good luck to the lady tigers and keep play with that intensity and the wins and that streak will be over.

I going to go toward Westmorland they i think are the most complete team in the tournament then Station camp The bison just dont get up and down the floor and excution is is really what lacks in the bison team. 3rd best Probably Clay, Macon and the team i enjoy talking about DC. DC beat Gville that beat Macon and clay but who knows what will happen thats why we play the game

Who is the favorite to win it

First things first i do not believe that anyone said they would win a district game before christmas or said he was the best coach. i have said he puts girls in position to win and just ask did anyone think they would win. Now i did say that they would play there best game they didnt take me to court i still predict 5th place finsh and will stand by that.

I never said we would win or lose i am not saying that game that can turn around the program is going to be against LA. I am just saying LA will be the best game we have played and i look for it to be less than what people think Schockley knows what he is going up against and knows what it takes to turn somthing around and everyone should know that it is not going to have instant results but i am going out a limb and say dekalb finshes 5th or better when it is all said and done. Heart takes a team along way and every person with basketball sense or anykind knows that from what i have seen read and heard dekalb plays with the most heart i havent seen LA yet but thats it there are several teams that have better talent, but i havent seen a team with as much heart and determination.

Well dekalb i gurantee will play there best game against LA this tuesday reason 1. Big crowd the whole dekalb System gets in free in other words big crowd 2.Coming off a good game against watertown i know it is just watertown but you would be suprised on what that can do for your confidence. 3. Nothing to lose if DC gets beat well what else is knew LA thinks there got a cupcake they better be ready for some determined DC girls 4. Last but not least even with the hometown crowd, big emotinal wins, determined and focused girls, most importantly DC has the best coach in this district Schockley will put those girls in position to win it is up to them to to finsh. There is not a single coach in the girls 7aa part that can do that besides Mike Shockley

I dont even know there schedule i really havent follwed them that closely i just like to watch girls basketball and dekalb has kinda caught my eye for around here right now anyway after christmas i will be watching wilson central an Mt Juleit. Could they beat either one or is there no hope for them

Well when you get old like i do your computer skills and thininking skills are limited all i want to know is do think schockley will win a district game before christmas

Well with baxter at the top with huge wins over dekalb and smith and Livingston have trouble just finding themsevles obouisly smith cant get farris the ball enough macon doesnt look impressive and york the same problem as livingston and cannoa county as slow as they are i dont care who they beat or wats there record fact is they are slow cant press well enough to do on a consistent baises and they have the dodgen factor and dekalb well i wouldnt rule them out, but wat i am getting at is this will shockley end the streak before christmas.

Well i paid my money went to the dekalb game and actually saw haw good baxter was the davis girl is pretty good but people can say all they want on how dekalb cant keep a good coach the politics arent in the school system so i heard anymore they are pretty smart anyway getting rid of that tobbit woman now she was bad. Now baxter was good but dekalb had every look they wanted the coach cant put the ball in the hole for them. That was the first time i have ever seen a dekalb anything be able to have those kind of chances look for dekalb to suprise people Coach schockley will be there as long as he wants and girls keep up the good work the wins will come you just have to make those easy shots and you will be in any ballgame you might win you might lose but you will put yourself in better position. Coach excellent job.

From whay i have read in the dekalb paper and what i have heard at the barbershop he coach sparta in the glory years and coach the jared girl that went to vandy

Coach Scockley so far has done an outstanding job his girls are playing hard and are on the brink of being a true 7aa basketball team

As someone said earlier its a team the coach is just one part of the team watertown does not or has ever really had athletes in girls basketball i am not trying to insult your program but since i have moved here and have seen your girls play the one thing you lack is a playmaker i know you have a big girl put her against a playmaker and she struggles that is also many programs around in the watertown area is that you lack playmakers i have seen watertown reeder is the closest thing to a playmaker you have you have girls who do good things but know playmakers. When you lack that that is when heart comes into play but you need a soild middle school program and even Jr pro program it cant just be till high school just use that right hand but learn the fundamentals and learn how to run a man , zone , a motion offense and you need to be in shape parents quick letting your kids sit around the house at a young age and get them playing ball and do not encourage them to play ball when i coach that was the one thing i always had parents would keep there kids active and wouldnt let them be passive. Sometimes you can be so bad there is know reason to be upset. When a team does not perform well the coach is the problem not always the case the players have to want to win and listen the coaches are older and believe or not have gone through the things the players have gone through.

Not everyone is a bill robinson but you have to remember watertown is a football school not a basketball school your best coaches want to go where basketball is the main sport

It is one game, people get caught up in this coaching thing not everyone you play will be as good as westmorland besides the reeder girl what else does watertown have she is the only one i know of. The trick of being a good coach is just get them to a mind set of where they can win. What i told my players was that our attitude was our aplitude. That is really what happend you cant be frieghtend by jim brown or butch agee. Who have to think you are just as good as they and if a coach cant get his team to play with enthusiam and intensity he or she should not be a coach believe me you cant get down on a coach or players because that gives the kids an excuse to lose because the coach is bad be positive and you would be impressed the way you kids would play.

i think the streak ends this year against macon or cannon county 7aa is a little down this year compared to years past LA and Upperman are the only teams i would pick to be sure favorites in the district this year.
