I know for a fact that Maryville wont dominate like they do in 5A. They wouldnt be 15-0 every year. Look at half the teams they play, It aint like that in 5A. They would make the play offs but they wouldnt dominate. Doog

I know times has changed but the most kept up with SH is from 95-99, Thats when they had the I formation straight power running with Gattrella Baugh(225lb), Dewrell Webster(245),Tavis Farmer(240), Aaron Oskins(275), and Charles Mitchell(235). With an OLine that average about 270, not to mention the scat backs Armand Carter Trevelle Davis and Troy Carter. I remember in a Playoff game one year they didnt even punt it would be 4th and what ever and they would line up in wishbone(Webster,Mitchell,Oskins)(700lb+ of RB's)and they other team new it was coming and couldnt do nothing about it. Heck on Defense it was a different story they would knock the mess out of you, i remember watching Mitchell and Oskins getting really upset with the defense on the side line cause it took seven plays to get off of the field agaisnt a good Giles Co team and they got that defense so ticked off that they didnt give up a first down till the JV went in the 4th Q. Like I said times has changed. The weight room is where those monsters where made. SH will be back though it takes time and effort heck those player need to go talk to the new age group and get those boys ready to go. Doog

I think Coach Oskins is a manager at a Lowes, he is not a teacher. He found out that Cox wasnt gonna have a program and he put in for the job. I guess you are right about the certificate. I just think he would be a great fix former SH Raider and he still does play football for two area Semi-Pro FB teams. Coach Herzog is the DC at Page, He also was the DC at Hillsboro and Ravenwood which won three State championships in six years. He coached at SH in 95-96 and was the DC and had a very physical defense. He is a football genius.

Anyone 6'5 305 will dominate in 1A, The biggest lineman are about 185-225.

Mt.Pleasant DOES not play anyone good. That is the weakest Region i have ever seen. Move up a class with Lewis and hickman. Marco wouldnt have any yards at all. Doog

All MtP has is Marco left Marco right. Not much coaching involved. The Region is very weak. W/ Cornersville,CA Zion,Perry Co. Once they played a great 2A Lewis Co team, Their Coaching staff didnt know what to do. Thats My opinion. South Pitt will win 1A. Doog

Coach Herzog would be a great fit in at Spring Hill also that man needs to have his own team. EA Cox's Head Coach Aaron Oskins is young and would have those players running through a brick wall. Coach McKnight is a great coach and he loves his kids I wish the best to him, this season was a down year. He did help a 0-10 make the playoffs for the first time since 98. From what I have seen at EA Cox, Oskins got those boys ready and I bet you that at least 5-8 Freshman should start. Keep your eye on Kelan Blanks Doog
