  1. ...But I get it, they can never do enough for you to give them or their coaches any props. If they win every game, you consider them cheaters and classless. If they lose every game, you consider it bad coaching. No one will change your outlook, so I won't even try...

No, you don't get it, but you and certain others never have.  Asking a question since you did not give any support to the statement in your original post should not be a problem.  Simply wondering what you meant.  Being met with that type of defensiveness and response says a lot about you.  You are absolutely wrong.  I have never considered them cheaters and classless based on winning or bad coaching based on losing.  I have provided the reasons for why I believe what I believe and it has nothing to do with simply winning or losing.  And if you were honest and objective you would admit the types of comments you made have no basis in truth.  But not to worry, I am used to it and you have taught me to expect nothing less.

  2. In round,1 BA wins last night at BA.  Game tied 51-51 and Ensworth had the ball with around 1 minute to go and tried to milk the clock playing like they were going trying for the last shot.  BA forced the turnover.  IMO, Ensworth had regained the momentum with a nice run to tie, but then lost it trying to hold it.  BA got the lead, and Ensworth turned it over again.

Based on last night, I would not be surprised who beats who when these two teams play each other this year.  Expect BA to get better as football players get more games under their belt since they play a key role, but case could be same for Ensworth as younger players continue to gain experience.

  3. If you would take your head out of the sand and peer about, you would understand that many share the thoughts expressed by Coach Brooks.  I have the utmost respect for Coach Martin and his staff, but can't say the same of Coach Maddux after watching the way the basketball program has operated in recent years.  Unfortunately, that loss of respect colors my view of the entire institution, both school and church.  Sorry, but that's my opinion and there are many, many others who feel the same way.  You can whine at Coach Brooks and others on this board all you want, but the athletic department's actions speak far louder than do your words.

Won't be surprising to anyone I am in agreement, but I consider it on point due to the truth represented in it. I appreciate how you have always displayed objectivity whether in agreement or disagreement and certainly not a "hater."  IMO, coachT can't have enough posters like you.  I certainly don't see you as the one with a problem of comprehension or spelling for that matter.

  4. ...With each tome you prove everything I've said...

According to you, but one thing going on here is a "failure to communicate."  It is not hyperbole, not extreme nonlinear comment, not a grasp, not a narrative change.  What it is, is an example to support a point.  Never said you said he was a great coach, that is what I have said in response to other people's opinions.

But me saying he is not a great coach, does not mean I said what you attribute to me saying a "bad coach."  Never said it, don't even think it.  As a coach, which I have also said in the past, is certain things I believe he does well and others not so.  My experience at CPA does not color my opinion of what I believe his or anyone's ability to coach.  My experience at CPA did give me an inside look and put me in a position of strong disagreement on certain issues.  When in that position, certain words are used to illustrate the point.  Not going to sugar coat it, just being real.  One of my responsibilities is to make sure I am not being dishonest or misquoting people.  I advise you to do the same.

  5. ...I know Bigchief well. Saw him after Christmas. I think he would agree that after your tome and questioning of my character a response was needed...

Not seeing where Bigchief or anyone thinks a response was needed due to the questioning of your character, but I am seeing that all you have done is open the door for people to question it as noted by rulefollower's comment, "We can see for ourselves that you CANNOT quote him saying what you claim he says."

  6. Can't change the narrative now boss. You don't have to apologize. Just do better next time.

The more you post the "odder duck" you become.  Never have I changed the narrative, but you should not think you can dictate the narrative by misquoting me and projecting on to me things I never said.  If you think misquoting and projecting is integrity and can not be challenged, questioned or "attacked" (as you describe it) then you are sadly mistaken.  Plus, if you can express your opinion about a coach's ability, others can do the same.  Be consistent without double standards and hypocrisy.  You think if my experience had been different at CPA I would think that Maddux is a great coach?  If so, you would be wrong.  My opinion would be the same, but subject to change if the facts dictate a change.

Based on your standards (or should I say your double standards) then your are nothing but a "jealous," "bitter," "disgruntled," ex-parent who has put BA in a bad light by how you describe the situation and using words like "politics."

  7. Any if your posts on 11/19 show your disdain for CPAs coach and show what you think. Its there written for everyone to see. You can try to argue semantics or interpretation but that won't deflect attention from your comments.

Additionally, your almost giddy posts asking about scores from losses and your comments about your departure clearly show your frustration.

Its amazing you are defending all your attacks and comments? Sometimes coach it's best to just let it go. You made this bed.

    Still the wrong response.

  8. You ...fine.

Still didn't do it, with all those words, still didn't produce my quotes with words "little talent" and "bad coach."  When a person takes that road, that is more than reason enough to question anyone's integrity.  You are right a response is needed, it is either produce what you say I said or apologize.  Unfortunately, you chose the wrong response.

  9. You sure do think highly of yourself coach. This thread has your posts all in it. There's no hiding from what's here. Feel free to deny and monologue but folks can see for themselves.

Nope, you didn't do it, didn't show my actual quotes with "little talent" and "bad coach." No need for me to discuss further since you have lost all credibility.  Continue to post, but no one will believe you since you have been exposed.  That is the way this works.

BTW, I more than realize I have violated an unwritten rule of coaching and knew it was personally risky.  Only problem is I don't think that unwritten rule is supported by Scriptures.  Anyone who has a problem with "shedding light" would have a lot of problem with the Bible.  I never broached this subject, never started any threads, but was brought into it.  Those like you started it and mentioned me personally.  No sense in being upset now that I am willing to stay until finished.  Like Big Chief says "two way street."  You "guys" try to make the rules then don't like it when someone chooses to play by your rules.

  10. I pasted your quotes yet you claim to be "misquoted"? Really? You're actually trying to use that defense?

To question someone's integrity when you have clearly attempted to paint the coach, his associates, and that school in a bad light is shameful. You crossed the line of merely opining that he's not a great coach when you "explained" what took place when you left the CPA program.

You can continue this if you like but this thread and your posts prove everything I just said. I'm sure you are a nice man and have heard many good things about you but this course of action is uncalled for.

Here we go again, different screen name, same old rhetoric.  Defending and justifying when you are the one not being honest and attempting to manipulate my words. We can disagree on what lines have been crossed, anyone is entitled to their opinion, but remember that is your opinion, does not make it the gospel. I don't put anyone in a bad light, can't blame me for other's actions simply because I chose to shed light.  Other's actions are not my problem.  You paste an actual quote of mine that uses "bad coach" or "little talent."  Course you won't be able to, but looks like that won't stop you from defending and justifying your actions. Go ahead, I am more than used to it, all in the name of Christianity.

The day when someone can actually prove that my "explanations" were based on anything false or untrue is the day I repent and stop posting.  Course there is a reason why no one has ever been able to do it.  Feel free to try, many have tried before you and have failed.  And there is a reason why that is true as well.  But I guess you will be different, cause you will actually have facts as opposed to believing who you want to believe regardless of truth.  Yea right...

  11. ...As we've heard on here often by some, and the disgruntled former CPA coach, they have little talent and a bad coach who's surrounded by his "cronies..."

That is the problem with posters like you, distort truth, manipulate words, etc.

I am a former coach who strongly disagrees with the approach the program took in more than one direction as well as a former coach who strongly disagrees with how certain posters post which is the primary reason I post.  Guess what, if you those like you have an opinion, nothing wrong with me having one, former coach or not. I never said they have "little talent," what I said was they do not have as much talent and expected things to be different this year.  I never said they had a "bad coach," what I have said is I don't consider their coach a "great" coach as others do and that past success is more related to talent then coaching.  I never said he was "surrounded by his cronies," I said he and his "cronies" used their influence and played a role to get the job at my expense. I used the word "cronies" to depict a negative way in how people act.  If you prefer "buddies," friends," or whatever go ahead, but it does not change the truth.  One of these days posters like you might learn the difference between strong disagreement and "haters," "jealous," "bitter," "disgruntled," etc.  And until you do, I know there will always be at least one reason for me to continue posting.

Try to have some integrity.  One thing to disagree, whole other not to be honest, even more so when associated with a Christian school.

BTW if words like "learned" and "cronies" are words that according to your standard defines a "hater" then you must hate pretty much everyone you interact with on coachT based on the words you use.  So you might want to be careful the standard you set.  Even if it is wrong, it will still apply to your more than anyone since it is your standard.
  12. Yeah I agree but the "haters" do the same thing. Using terms like "learned" and "cronies" kinda makes some folks appear as if they lack objectivity. It will be a fun ride indeed Coach.

Don't be deceived by appearances, hate to see anyone become one of those "perception becomes reality" people since there are way too many of those around anyway.

  13. You have no clue......I guess you didn't realize the CPA football made it to the state championship for the third year in a row, so the basketball team did not have any of the football players.  Since their arrival the team is 6-0, winning against some of the best teams in the surrounding states at the Kentucky tournament.

For the record, here is the original jett post before edited:

Sorry you are not a Coach, not certain why you still want to be called that."

    My reply:

    1.  Yes I was aware about CPA football, but I was not stating reason why, simply observing when we begin to hear from certain CPA posters.

    2.  Not asking anyone to call me Coach, now I am nothing more than those like you, a fan of the game though admittedly some know more than others.

    3.  It would be nice to be able to believe you about this being against "best teams" and "great competition" which may be true, but I am sure you will understand if I don't automatically do that since based on your past posts that lack objectivity and truth, I would need some more credible sources before drawing the same conclusion.

    4.  No need to get into the "Merry Christmas" and "bitter" simply makes me laugh and always good to laugh around Christmas.

And congratulations especially to the players, always good to win a holiday tournament.

  14. Except for the two post player issue you had when Z was playing. Right?

Correct, was making reference to the last few years.

the rebuttal from some folks will be fun to read. I'm getting some popcorn ready.

Good, because that the way is it should be, maybe something has finally been learned.  Course doesn't make what others have observed and experienced in the past untrue, but the "lovers" love to pick and choose, they have a very selective filter.

  15. Because that was the most important play of the game and BA lined up in a formation that I have never seen them use

Before .....been a long time BA fan . No one knew what they were going to run including many people around me. I'm sure Marty was trying to prepare his team the best he could for what he saw on the field. Stop there game over.

I understand the thinking and more of a question then a criticism.  In that game, I would rather give my offense the best chance to win as opposed to my defense since it was offense ruling the day.  That last minute in regulation would have looked different if MBA had two timeouts because they were moving the ball.

Serves as another reminder how fine a line between winning and losing.  Hats off to both teams, coaches and players.
