List how you think 10-A will end up?

I saw the game and WHH played terrible but East played better than I have seen them play this year,having Wilks back seems to help.I think against East you have to play some type of zone and just match up with Stratton because no one in this district can guard Woodard man to man and he is not going to hurt you as an outside shooter.I think Ray for Heritage really has a bright future and Moore is a solid player.The score of last nights game is misleading,it was much worse than a 12 point game.

I like Heritage on the road by 5,can't make up my mind if I am going to this game or the Sycamore/Fairview game.

WHH played terrible... Thier big gun couldn't hit the side of a barn. No excuses, but we did find out that he has had a major sinus infection for a month now.(gotta throw off his equilibrian)? Ref's didn't help much on either end. That was probably the worst display I have saw come out of WHH this year. Like it was a different team? Scrapman, thats one of the few honest things youv'e said on here lol gl to your team though, I wish someone would take some of the air out of CA, I watched them last year and thru this year, in my opinion Martin is a better all around player than Malcolm, and Malcolm has gotten to where he wants to argue calls and act stupid. Needs t'ing up in my opinion. Now, I'm not saying that hes not a very good player, cause he is........ but its like the refs tolerate more out of him than they would another player. The twins are NOT the enire CA team, they have great outside shooters that are also very good defensive players, but they NEVER get mentioned.

First off, it was a prediction, not a statement. Secondly, it was a joke. I would say that WHH is 15 point underdog. Just wanted to see you two get all serious. If you really beleive that WHH would still lose with the twins out, I want some of what your smoking. Wow, they are so great they could probably beat Vandy, UT and Uk. Stop beleiving your own hype. When I read that, I decided to go look at NC's schedule and they really have had a lot of close games.

 

at Columbia Academy L 44-47

at White House-Heritage L 33-38.

at Community L 48-51.

vs McEwen L 40-43.

at East Robertson L 50-51.

vs White House-Heritage L 45-49.

 

That is 6 games overall by 19 points and 4 district games by a combined 13 points.

 

I wonder how this team will perform in the post-season and next year?

Not far this year but, I think next year will be a good year for them. Keep in mind that the twin's will only be Jr's next year and they are only going to get better!

Sorry I misse you last nite. I just didn't feel good and I had to get ready to go to my grandmothers on Saturday. My son told me he met you, and so did my husband. he gave me your card. I just hated to miss it. Maybe we will met at another game sometime. Thanks for the picture offer, he didn't play last night. We have a very good young team.

Well WP, I hope you are feeling better. Congrat's to you and your husband on raising a very polite well mannered young man. Not an easy feat in today's climate. Maybe we will see you in the playoff's? It was a tough game and I thought both teams played with maturity and conviction. Ref's???? well, lets just say it's class A. Current standings are pretty close to what I thought they would be. I thought that ER would have a better record than they do. Pretty impressed w/ NC, considering they returned no starters (+) and they have had close games. They will be a force to be reckoned with come next year! JB, Ka-Boom!!!!. CA needs to be careful, fall asleep and your one and done. (Are the twins soph or jr's?) Anyway, anything but a division win for CA would be a major, major dissapointment. So all of the pressure is on them to take division if not regions. How are you feeling about your chances???

We played Fairview last night....I don't even want to go there. I think it was the worse game I have ever seen called. I was trully afriad we would have a free for all before it was over... this was the girls game too. One of Fairview's girls knocked down one of our girls and shoved her in the face.... the ref was standing right there! I don't blame the players, Fairview is a very aggressive team, but the refs I guess forgot how to blow the whistle. Don't get me wrong, yes, I am upset we lost, but my son told me that the Fairview side was just as upset over the way the game was being called. It was just unfair to the players, because if you let them get away with such behavior it isn't teaching them anything.

I play on the team.. Unless 3 starters missing isn't that many to you than yeah we were.. Sam Porter my close friend decided he was playing before the start of summer camps. He had something to where he could not make it. And oh to your recruiting commment.. We have been the worst team in the district for I dont know how many years. It's pathetic that you have to make that kind of excuse when we do not recruit anyone.. and about the region comment.. we made it to the regional semi's last year and lost by 3 after being up 8 going into the 4th quarter and having a shot to tie in the last seconds of the game. The team we lost to went on to win the regional tournement and went on to state. Were gonna be better this year with the growth of the twins. I think we have a god chance and you'll be surprised

My kid out scored all of yours including the twins when we played you. And only lost by a point, which from what I understand if he would of made one of his last three, free throws, we could of tied or won outright. He has a higher average also. haha! Just wanted to set the record straight,I am in my thirties and do not have a child that plays for any of these schools.I went to HC a long time ago and live in Nashville now.Scrapman,I looked for you at the game against HC,I was going to say hello,a friend of mine is the athletic director at Christian Community and pointed you out last year.WP,I wasn't calling you out or anything,sorry if it looked that way.I am sure you can answer a question for me.How is Tom Mulliniks related to the kids that play on your team,I used to know him pretty well back in the day.I am in Mcewen from time to time because my mother has a farm on Schrock Rd. out past the high school

Ohh, to bad. One of the games I was actually at. I have been really sick the past 4 months and have missed most of the season. I am not hard to find though, Big, Ugly and sittin on the 50 yard line. Usually far away from my better half. She can be a bit of an assault of the senses. Bought time you have some kids so we have someone to watch! Anyone have any news from the East Robertson and Nashville Christian game? How did East only win by one on THEIR home court?

I don't know, but we only lost by one also. I know how that happened. A certain someone that is usually clutch in buzzer beaters and from the charity line missed all 3 of his last 3 free throws. 1, would of tied, 2 and 3 could of won. I do have to give him some credit though, he did hit a tre' to tie it up close to the end. I am just getting over a pretty serious illness (housebound for 4 months) so I had to rely on this forum or my wife reporting back to me, I usually watch the tape but a lot of that is the cieling or other end of the court staring at an empty net!. I love my wife and all, and she is our son's # 1 fan but sometime I have to remind her to yell "GO Offense" and not "C'mon Defense when we have the ball. God I love her.

I sure do miss scrapman,he was very entertaining.I want to know opinions on why Houston Co and East Rob have underacheived so far this season.My opinion on HC is they have one scoring option and a soft post game.I have no idea why the Skelton kid continues to play as much as he does and they have a sophomore on the bench in the Monroe kid that is super agressive and will at least make things happen,they also have another sophomore 6'5 Jonathan Roper that has touch and deserves some playing time.They should play skelton,Kizer,Monroe,Roper,and Barnes an equal amount of time,they have improving guards in Cooksey and C.Featherstone that should be solid by tourney time along with Dillard and T.Featherstone carrying the load.ER should be much better than they are,can not understand why they don't push the tempo as much as possible with Woodard and Cook,that would also free up shots for Stratton in transition.Mcewen is playing incredible considering the talent they have,Coach Ross is very underrated as a coach.WHH will come back to Earth,they are a product of the schedule,although with Albright and a great coach they always have a shot.CA is the class of the league and if Malcolm Smith grows a few inches and continues to improve will be an SEC talent.It is nice to see Nashville Christian down,Charlie anderson is a great man and coach but they have to have the most annoying fans.Since I have touched on everyone else,JB has been irrelevant in BB for a long time now.

Thank you for your kind words. I miss posting too, but at my age I have to watch my Blood Pressure. Just wanted to let you know that Ross got his 1,000th point last nite. 1,008 to be exact. I think this puts us solely into 2cnd place after defeating HC by about 20 or so. The same amount that other guy said we should lose by all the time to them (opp's I did it again, bragging) Anyway, I could not keep my big mouth shut on this one. I am very, very proud of him. He put up 28, about half from the line. You keep posting though, I enjoy them. You are very articulate, sensable and I can live vicareously through you. (Hope I spelled all that right)? You go girl!

Ross Albright is a good player prob top 3 in the district behind CA's Malcom Smith and Martin Smith

 

WHH will finsh 3 or 4 in the district if they keep playing how they're playing and gutting out W's

 

P.S. The reason people do not like WHH is not because of years past. It's how everyone of yall's boys and fans act. Your son may be an exception because I've not seen him act like that in years past but clean yall's act up and no one would have a problem. I have not seen yall this year so I dont know im just going off of what I've experienced in years past. I'm not dogging yall im just answering your question. Oh and everyone on this cite knows your son is good. You don't have to tell us. Let his play speak for it's self. The year we did win it, we had a couple of kids on the team that were very cocky, way too cocky and I did not approve of it at all, but it was allowed. I knew it would come back to haunt us.

I do have to argue one point though, if HC is better than WHH by 20 points the scorebord sure didn't show it on the 12/5 game, 38-34? we won. And even with the worst reffing according to your 20 point spread they still should of beat us by 10 or so? Regardless, this will be my absolute last post. I don't know if I am doing this right...but I wanted to brag on out McEwen Warriors. We have fought hard in our last few games. Some were close, some not....but the biggest thing is we beat E.Robintson this week. Our boys fought head for every basket, turnover, and yes even fouls to win that game. It was a fun game to watch. E. Robinterson has a very talented team. They were fun to watch as well. We are a young team, but with each day, game, practice they are getting better...so watch out.!

It was a fairly called game ....sometimes. I only wish that the refs were fair and called the same calls for both sides. I know that, of course, we (warriors) see "calls" that were missed....just like the fans from other teams feels there are calls that "should or shouldn't have been made". Some times it is hard to see exactly what happens from all the angles.

I wish all of the teams good luck this sesaon. Play Well, Play Fair and you will never Look back with a heavy heart.

I went down to Houston Co tonight and watched HC and CA play. First thing I noticed was the Spurgeon boy wasnt dressed out, whats up with that?

But this is what I did see. The twins are great ballplayers, but if someone is in their face, they cant seem to make the shot fall. I would say the rebounding was about even. The score doesnt reflect the game, CA had a scoring run in the beginning of the third quarter, with one of their boys hitting a couple of 3s that put them over the top. I would say that HC probably has the quickest point guard in the district, and for being an average size guy, he can jump! Dillard played hard, but he just couldnt put up the big points tonight. As for the Skeleton boy, he desperately needs more floor time, alot of promise there though. Tyler Featherstone played well, but doesnt seem to shoot much, why???? Another promising player was the younger Featherstone boy, should mature well. Monroe played in the second and third quarter, handled the twins well, and scored over them. Still dont understand why this boy doesnt get more varsity time.

CA has put themselves a nice team together, but they are not unbeatable. JMO

I was at the WHH/HC too, and neither team is my team, but this is what I saw;I dont know what their star player had, dont even know which one you are talking about. I saw ALOT of fouls that went uncalled, your boys like to push off, hold shirts, etc.... and I also saw 3 very young refs, who had to stop and ask each other what was going on, changing calls on the others sayso. HC is a better team that WH, you have a couple of shooters, thats all I saw out of them. As for being tied for first, ummm have you played CA yet? They will wipe the floor with yall. I have to agree with basketball, HC is a better team than WHH, though time will tell now that the Spurgeon boy is out.

I hate to tell you this, but I was at the HC / WH game, and your boys didnt beat them, the refs did........... and if your honest you will admit it. As for disliking your boys, I dont know them or anything about the school, didnt know they had won the district whenever they did, so you cant lay that off on me.

I won't lay that off on you. As far as the ref's, they take games from us all the time, that was about the whole point of my rant They are 1-A after all. But I don't think you can attribute your loss to that, good teams overcome bad ref's. I have a bit of a memory problem but wasn't that the game where your star player was held to something like 9 points(?). Oh wait, he had an off night. I also don't remember anyone fouling out? I believe we hit 4 out of our last 4 free throw and there was almost two minutes left so there was plenty of time for your boys to come back on us. We play again on the 16 in our house so you will have a great chance to avenge your loss. Hopefully! you will get some good ref's and if your star player does not have an off night, you should beat us hands down. When that happen's, I will gladly admit your dominance.
