I was wrong this game was even worse than the first for WHH as NCS won by 35 POINTS!!

Congratulations! You have a great team. I was amazed at the 3 point shooting, they just don't miss and are a very fun team to watch even though we were on the loosing end!
I see no reason why you will not take state. How many starters will return next year? I know your kids have been playing a long time together and I think (hoping) most are seniors. At least my favorite player matched your high scorer. Got to find some good out of the game for us WHH fans. Good luck all the way through, If it is not my team going anywhere, I will still be loyal to the district.

In one post I asked you if you were Coach V and got no reply, so I thought you were and just wanted to protect your anonymity. On another, I assumed you were and wrote somewhat of a personal message to you inviting you to a home game and you never disputed or corrected me that you were not. In some sick way you were enjoying it. So it seems that you liked the fact that I thought you were. Coach V. who was the coach previous to our current one. He is not dead lying in a new suit but he is confined to a wheel chair so shame on you for speaking of the dead and handicapped like you knew them. I never said that coach P was the best ever or even compared him to Anderson, I only said what I know of my personal experience with him which I will repeat. He has been a great influence on my son and that he has been more than a coach. He has also been a mentor. Certain things I could not get through to my son he has been able to. His players have a very close bond to him. Was I excited in the beginning of the year? YES. we were 7-0. Was I bragging about it? Yes, I am a proud father. Did it get your goat? Yes. When we started our grueling slide did I admit to it and say that right now our team has no heart? Yes. What had started out as some innocent banter between you and I has turned into something very ugly. I did not want it to. So, after reading all of your post it is very apparent that you are immature and incapable of keeping it civalI am mad at myself for letting you drag me down to your level. I am assuming you are a grown up, at least chronologically. But your post sure seem that of what would come out of a 8th graders mouth. I think you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself the question? Am I as stupid as I sound on the board? So, having said that, this will be the very last post I will ever respond with to you. Hope to meet you in person at some time. That would be very enjoyable. You are correct about my spelling, not very good. I had to quit school at 16 to help support my mom after my father died. But, I worked myself up from the bottom and have been in the same industry for many many years. I am now very successful and make a great living. Please don't tell me you are a teacher? Wow, you just don't know when to shut up do you. I bet you play a lot in dungens and dragons when you are not litering this site with your babble. Have you made it past level 13 yet? I would really like to meet you in person to discuss all of this. You know you can find me at any WHH game. Just stand if front of the stands and call out SCRAPMAN and I will gladly meet with you. It would be a great pleasure to meet a man of your basketball prowness and stature. You probably trained MJ how to shoot his jump shot. Your love for Petrone is outstanding also, what did he beat your team to many times? You are a spinless worm that hides behind words. You probably have to take viagra and still use a pump. The coach V I know does not lie around but he is confinded to a wheel chair, feel better talking about the dead and handicap. You are a smart ######, unoriginal, crass and just a plain bore. First of all, I have never said anything that might implicate me to be Coach V. (whoever that is). Any implication to that extent is a figment of your own imagination. Apparently a quite VIVID one. I would say the reason why he didn't say anything when you asked him is because he didn't know what you were talking about. It is not his fault that you dreamed up this conspiracy theory of yours. It never ceases to amaze me how unbelievably out of whack some ADULTS get just because someone on here does not agree with their own thoughts. Everyone has an opinion. Not everyone can be right. You got on here spouting off about Petro like he was some kind of coaching God or something and I felt the need to set you straight on a little honest truth. But as Jack Nicholson said "Truth. You can't handle the truth." It is funny to me that after all your horn blowing over Heritage's start this year and then their rapid decline, you still can't admit that you were WRONG. You tried to downgrade a living legend of a coach that is still getting it done in his 70's by comparing him to a decent coach that has a repeated history of NOT getting it done.
I will tell you this again. REEAAALLLL SSSLLLOOOWWWW. Charlie Anderson is 22-1, ranked #4 in the state, has a national championship and is nine wins from 1000 for his career. Mike Petrone volunteered to coach at Vanderbilt after having some problems at Father Ryan, got fired at Cumberland and Centennial and ran out on Hickman County before coming to Heritage. They choked in the District in '06, 1st round of the region in '07 and moved up the start date on their choke this year to January. Now, for the last time, I am not Coach V. The only Coach V I know of lays around all day in a new suit.

Scrapman, looks like the old Juco coach is 20-1 and eleven wins shy of 1000 for his career. The old volunteer SEC is 7-7 and dropped five straight. Still think there is a comparison? I heard your theme song yesterday. The great John Conlee said it well.

Hey BIG CHIEF, thanks for letting everyone think (including myself) that you were coach V. I even ask you if you were and you gave no response. There were a lot of things you said that sounded exactly like what would of came out of his mouth. The great Ray Charles said it well...

Very happy to see that WHH has played like a team over the last two games. It looks like they are coming out of their slump. They have been playing some fresh and soph who have gave the team heart again and shown the older kids who were so use to winning what it's like to play hard and have fun. Did you see how much fun Brett Favre and Drivers had against Big D? That's what sports are suppose to be about. Giving 100% and having fun. If you do that it does not matter what the scoreboard says at the end of the game because you know you left it all on the floor. Towns, McClung and White have really stepped it up along with the younger kids. Albright broke out big last night with 31 after a 11 and 3 point showing in his two previous games. Remember, it's all about who gets hot come playoff time.

Well, at least they played like a team again last Friday. Hopefully they we do it again tonight and stop this implosion.

Im not sayin Anderson isnt a good player he is definately one of the best but I could pass to wide open players and get assists all night to. And I know I havent seen every game but every time ive ever seen him play all he has done is shoot 3's ive very rarely seen him drive and when he does its nothing great. NC runs a good motion offense and set good screens and they are mostly wide open behind the arc and all you have to do is pass it to them. Im not saying Albright should be the MVP cuz he has definatley not played like one lately, all he wants to do is shoot 3's. He is amazing at driving to the basket and making shots your not supposed to and getting to the line and when he gets back to that they will start doing better.......Although I do think Anderson is over rated he is on the best team in the distrcit right now and hes got good numbers so its really hard to argue against him being the MVP
If he does not start driving to the hole and give up the 3's. He's grounded!

This was a close game in the beginning. But like has been said before here, at the start of the 3rd qtr it was clear who was the overall better team on the floor. The 2nd half was a 41-13 game and could have been much worse if the starters had played the whole time. Various changes on defense and the fact that NCS shooting was probably at 60-65% in the 2nd half was the difference. As for WHH not doing the things on offense that usually work for them ...there was probably a reason for that last night...its call defense.
There were some hard fouls delivered on both sides which is the way refs are allowing the game to be played these days. NCS had just as many players hitting the floor as WHH during the game. Just want to clear up the record here as far as 55 on NCS getting a technical for a foul last night. He did not get a technical for a foul last night. He had his 5th foul with about 2:30 mins left in the game and although it was a hard foul it was clear it was not intentional. # 10 for WHH came up in the middle of the floor and chest bumped 55 which cause #10 to get the technical and be ejected from the game. Following the ejection #55 made a jester of waving goodbye to him and was then given a technical. Just thought we needed clarity on that issue. Also Scrapman ....your comment earlier on this thread that you "heard" NCS "big man" was in trouble with the "league" whoever that is....for having had too many technicals was totally 100% false information you were repeating here on this site. Not sure where you could have heard such a total lie but i have an idea. For the record, last nights technical was the first technical 55 has recieved in the 4 yrs he has played post for NCS. As for playing like the game was tied toward the end of the game...that is how NCS or any other good team is taught to play. When a player is on the floor you want him or her to always play their best at 100% no matter what the score is and suggesting a player play otherwise is just wrong. Over the years WHH has handed NCS many losses by playiing better basketball ....last night was just a story in reverse. Hopefully the next time they meet it will be another good game with no carry over from last nights finish.
You have alot of valid points, like giving 100% to the end. In reference to the "league" TSSAA or whatever it is called is to whom I was refeering to. As far as the " Big Guy" info, it was a rumor I heard and if you re-read the post I was asking, If? there was any truth to it, too NCSfan22. I Did not accuse him of anything, so please don't make it sound like I'm on here spreading propaganda and lies, it's offensive . It was a simple QUESTION, and I heard the rumor by more that a couple people. Congradulations on your well deserved win. I aggree, Congradulations. You definetly handed us our lunch. You have three guys that can drop 3's from well behind the 3 point line and we were not coming out to meet them. WHH tried to play your game, ###### for tat. And when you only have 1-2 players that can shoot, it is not going to work. WHH is a small and fast team and need to use that to their advantage. I think we drove to the basket maybe 4 times all game. That is our game drive, drive and drive some more. I have to question the heart an seriousness of some of WHH players. If they get down by 10 or more it just seems like they give up? WHH's last three games looked nothing like their first 7. And it not because the first 7 teams were really bad (well some were). It was because we were playing our game, small ball, cut and slice, DRIVING IT THE THE DARN HOLE. If they can get back to that type of play you will see a differnt team. NCS won it fair and square and are the better team. 55 from NCS did hand out some pretty hard fouls, one got him a Technical. It was uncalled for, they were up by 20 or more and he was still playing like it was tied. I think he thought he was still playing football. Anyway, you guys are the team to beat. But don't count us out, still have alot of games to play and hopefully coach can get them straightened out?

Davidson has a big night tonight....around 20 and 10.... anderson will be anderson and lead the team, fill whatever roll that needs to be filled, passer, shooter, defense...
I think it going to be a low scoring game. Alot of defense and not many freebies.

Should be a great game, heard something about your big man being in trouble with the league due to to many technicals and is in jepordy of a big suspension? Any truth to it? Thanks and good luck tonight!

Coach Carlisle has been and still is an outstanding coach. The very fact that he has been at the same school for a long time is testimony to that opinion. In this day of player chasers, recuiters, AAU leverage, sex scandals and other unsavory incidents in athletics, Coach Carlisle is a solid example of a good coach.
Coach Anderson has been successful where ever he has coached. He is respected by his players and his peers.
Coach Petrone is the Billy Martin of middle Tennessee coaches. The improvement of his teams is immediate, but then he wears out his welcome, thus he has to move on. He has had several coaching addresses.
And yes, I have dealt with all three of these men. None are perfect to everyone, but all three have pluses.
Billy Martin, that's classic. He will even enjoy that one! So, in esscence you are saying that all of our principlas are George Sterinbreniers?

yeah, probably, it's between him, woodard, and anderson... Really depends on the 2nd half of the season, and how they do against each other... Comparing D10's MVP to west tennessee MVP's are like day and night though, as far as this year goes... Districts 3, 4, 5, 8, 14, 15, 16 have more elite players in the district than district 10... I am not saying overall more decent ball players but more elite by far this year...

Albright is a good ballplayer but no were near the best in the state in 1a... if you put him on a team like Manassas, union city, humbolt, or csas he would not even stand out..... The candidates are more than likely already made up in the minds of the people voting anyway..... The top 3 at the end of the year will be as follows....I will almost guarantee it....

MJ Brown will win it, and is playing on the 2nd best team in the state UC.... I say that because I think that Manassas is a little better, played the best team in the state Ridgeway within 6... One of the two will win it....

Ross Albright, White House Heritage. Avg. 24.4 PPG and 5 rebounds and several steals per game. He is Junior this year. After sitting out 2 periods with two rolled ankles he came is with twenty seconds left to hit the game winning trey to seal the victory against McEwen. He get's my vote. To bad it doesn't count!

We all need to take a moment and thank Christ that we are all fourtunate enough to have a school to root for, that we can afford a computor, that our children are healthy and fed. So for a day, lets stop the bickering and count are blessings. I wish everyone out there, even our biggest rivals a Merry Christmas and a healthy and succesfull new year. And we must remember that this is only a game. A past time. A means of enjoyment. A way to teach our children team work and sportmanship. May God bless you all.

Albright from WHH dropped three in a row to start game last night against MBA and finished with 6-3's (paper was wrong) Still was not enough to beat MBA, they have a pretty deep bench and kow how to work the ball very well as a team

Just like theres no comparison to a coach that took over a program at a private school and a coach who started the program at a brand new school and beats NC routinely, this year may be different but Heritage has dominated that series the last 3 years. Both coaches are great and you could have arguments for both being the best coach in the district. Wether he was an assistant or not I dont know but everyone has always talked highly of Petrone at Vanderbilt and any other school hes been at.

I thought Puckett was as good as my 8 year old sister, and mabe I dont know who Preston Bailey is, I thought you were talking about the big guy with the shaved head who was huge so my mistake but your mistake for saying that Bledsoe is better than Townes. All Bledsoe has ever done is shot the 3.
I'll say one thing, Albright passes just as much as he shoots. Until it is time to win the game. Just like Jordon did and Lebron and Kobe still do. No, I am not comparing Albright to those guys but when you have to score points you go to your "go to guy" That's why they are called the "go to guys" because they can score when you go to them.

Should have seen WHH vs. NC. The older ref could barely make it up and down the court. The calls were terrible for both sides. There was one charging foul he called against WHH where he did not even touch him. Honest, their shirts didn't even brush and I have it on tape to prove it! We are single A and get the bottom of the barell. My wife could call a better game than some of these guys and she is usually screaming "come on defense when we have the ball" LOL, got to love her.
