  1. It was pretty boring.

Boring? How about pitifull. I think WHH's team was kidnapped by some aliens and replaced by a team that have never played basketball. After the first period it was 12-11 CH) and looked to be shaping up to be a great game. CH was actually breathing pretty hard. Then, as soon as the second started Clarksville high came out and went up 9 within 30 seconds due to a couple of lazy passes that resulted is steals and scores. before you know it it was 37-11 and they just gave up. The only points scored in the second and the only highlight for WHH all night was Albright hit a beyond a half courter to get 3, b/4 the buzzer went off. Third was not much better. About two minutes into the third there was so much smoke coming out of coaches ears it looked like someone turned on a fog machine. He benched the entire starting team and put in the second string for the remainder of the third. Started the fourth back with the starters and they managed to put up a few but, way to little way to late. That alien team that showed up would not be able to beat any middle school ballers let alone NCS. I am sure coach will make them pay for it today. They were in the locker room for about 40 minutes after the game and they all came out needing some preperation H. It was a very embarassing loss for WHH. If the aliens that kidnapped our team does not bring them back, I don't see them winning another game. Thank got it was not a district game. They play MBA tonight @ 8:00. Hopefully the aliens will be sick of them and sent them back. PLEASE, send them back! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> PS. Not to take anything away from CH, they played a well disciplined game. They ran their plays well and about all of them can hit from beyond the 3 point line. They definetally have some chemistry.

  2. It will come down to the point guard, White(I think), if he plays well WHH has a chance if not it could be a long night. But hey who knows the way albright lit it up against us he might be able to put the team on his back but against chs they need a full team effort

That's a really smart post. Your right, it really needs to be a team effort. Albright has the ability to take over and win it for them but it would take a huge effort on his part. If White and Towns can combine for 25-30 they can make it close.

  3. I think the district is up for grabs so far. Houston County hasnt been playing well at all but have been without thier big man. Nashville christian, WHH, and East Rob. are all tough,. But i think anyone is beatable.

    Nasville Christian Anderson

    WHH Pruitt

HC Dillard (the only hope for the team)

    who's or what is Pruitt?

  4. The Jo Byrns teams the past couple of years has had talent. The problem is that nothing has come of it. Just wondering some opinons on this major issue.IS it time for the long time coach to retire?

Got their first district win last night against CA. by 11 or so! Is the monkey off their back?

  5. 1. NCS (for now)

    2. WHH (because they beat CA in Clarksville by 9.)

    3. CA

Lot of games left to play now, but what's a little early season poll gonna hurt.

Another reason to move CA down a peg. Jo Byrns got their first district win against them last nite in convincing fashion 65-54

  6. They don't, NCS plays Columbia Academy next friday @ CA. After that they head to FL for the Ft.Walton Blowout in Freeport, the tournament which they won last year. After they come back from FL the first game is WHH.

No, I know they have not lost one. I meant between now and Jan 4, district or not.

  7. must have been a good game. this is a very unpredictable district this year. will definitely be interesting come tourney time

It was really a strange game, WHH was pretty aweful. Kept trying to throw up 3's and nuttin was dropping, except the last one. Ref's we not fond of us at all and it showed. One of the ref's was the same one that threw out our star players dad last year and he remembered. WHH should of won that game by 20 or so. It was just not their night. Except for that last shot though. LOL. I think it will come down to NCS and WHH in the end. We will get a preview of that on Jan. 4 @ WHH. Should be a great game and someone will come out with their first loss if they don't already have one?

  8. Can McEwen make it 4 straight against a well rested White House Heritage? /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Ugh? I am gonna say no. I am also going to predict that it will come down to the final seconds and after sitting on the bench for 2 periods # 23 (Albright with a rolled ankle) is going to come back on the court in the final seconds to hit the go ahead 3 to clinch a 40-39 victory for the Patriots. Okay, so I was there.

  9. I think the Watertown AD or principal could have politely asked them to put their camera up. Why basketball coaches don't swap films like football coaches do is beyond me. Everyone has to work their "secret" back channels -- and now this.

You might consider this incident could have been a renegade parent acting on his own. At least I hope so. Was this during the boys game or the girls game?

I saw something like this 10 or 12 years ago in a Christmas classic. Team A and Team B were playing at Team C's home court. Teams A & B were filming from upstairs. Team C had a camera set up and was prepared to film the game. Team B refused to take the floor until Team C's camera came down. I say good for Team B -- what do you think?

It's pretty easy to buy a ticket and send your junior high coach to scout. Just do that and leave the camera at home.

It's ridiculous that they do that. A lot of these people think this is the NBA.

  10. Vandy has never made the final four. he was a volunteer assistant at Vanderbilt while still teaching at Father Ryan High School. He was the head coach at Father Ryan in the early 80's as well as Centennial, Hickman Co. (briefly) and Cumberland University. He has been an assistant at many places as well including being a volunteer assistant right now at Trevecca. The point is he moves around a lot because he burns every bridge he crosses. Glad you have had a positive experience with him. Not everyone agrees with you. To each his own.

    Coach V? is that you?
