Obviously, predictions are what they are. The biggest suprise is CA. They have really gotten a lot better. It looks like Heritage has retooled quite well. Scrapman, Your son is a very good player. He was last year too but he had to share the ball a lot more. Your coach is a good basketball coach. I'll leave it at that. I have tried to keep up with everyone the best that I can. After the first month I would say this league is even better than it was the last two years, and that is based on the bottom not the top. I think the top team will have at least 3 losses if not more. I hope everyone stay healthy and fights it out down to the wire.

Thanks for the reply Coach and thanks for the compliment on Ross. Please keep in mind I am one of those darn yankee's. We like to tease alot and sometimes I get carried away. A lot of people take me to serious on the board. If you could see me face to face when I say things you would see that I am just kidding and busting you know what. I will be the first to admit that WHH has turned out alot better than I thought they would, we have so many newcomers how could they do anything else. Do we have enough to win the district again? I would say if we could get one more player to step up and be a shooter we have a good chance. Thanks again and I will try to tone down my rhetoric a little.

I think there are two different groups. The top three can all beat each other and the bottom four can beat each other. My 4-6 can pick up wns above them as well. The league will be well rounded and a lot of fun. I wish almost everyone a lot of success this year.

WHH beat its division opponents by 7, 8 & 9 points, but Community (region opponent) took them to the last 20 seconds in a 2 point win for WHH.

 

WHH fans, I would like to hear an objective opinion about our boys (can't get one from our didtrict, too much emotion involved): Which of our boys looked like real players to you? How did our D and O look? What gave you problems? Where did we seem weak?

 

By the way, I think WHH is for real, I can't figure out why others in your district seem so derisive.

Your asking me to go back a couple weeks, I can barely remember last nights game. I think our game could of went either way? You guys have some great shooters, I think we beat you on rebounds and conditioning. As I remember by the 4th your guys were huffin and puffin pretty good. That's one advantage we have being a small team, were quick and can get in and out . One thing Petrone does is keep those boys in shape. I don't think you beat yourself in any way. Our lead scorer did have 31 points, he misses one of those and were in OT. As I remember we had alot of steals also. We play you guys again in the last regular season game. Should be very interesting to watch as we should both be in top form by then. I'll be rooting for you guys up till Feb 7!

MBA scrimmaged them earlier this year with only two legit varsity players (the rest were in football) and had no trouble with White House Heritage. I don't know their level of comp but they did not look good against MBA

WHH 58 - HC 50.

Got to give them Houston county boys their props. They can shoot and run hard all game. When they get their big men back they will be a team of contention. WHH came out and thought they had it won b/4 the game started. To be quite honest, so did I. We were terrible on defense and not so hot on the other end. Went into the half down a point.

HC kept it close till about 5 left, WHH Fought hard and long it seemed like to get up 10, HC got it back to 3 but time ran out and they had to keep hacking but WHH dropped about every one. Overall, it was a great high school game to watch, alot of fun. And for those of you that know, he had 28, (27.2PPG) Peace out! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

F.C. Boyd forfieted because of the long drive, (boo hoo) That puts WHH at 6-0.

WHH next game was suppose to be against F.C. Boyd but they forfieted because it was to far for them to drive /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> So, that automatically put's WHH @ 6-0. On the 14th they play McEwen and I think we can all agree as to what will happen in that game. Right after xmas break WHH will paly NC, It seems that these 2 teams are shaking out to be the district leaders. Dude I was at the game and when Heritage was playing man the point guard #1 was guarding woodard. Ask your son,

Your killing me, my bad. In the second half we went to zone and woodard ended up in his zone for the remainder of the game correct. Where he was consistantly shut down. Since were being so friendly let me be the first to respond. I doubt they are a state contender, there are alot of young inexperienced kids on the team. What I have been saying all along is that they are not a sixth or seventh seed like everyone was saying in preseason. Could they win the district again and maybe the first round of regions? Yes. The real test will be Jan 4 against NC. I wouldn't count them out though. Do you know my son?

Vandy has never made the final four. he was a volunteer assistant at Vanderbilt while still teaching at Father Ryan High School. He was the head coach at Father Ryan in the early 80's as well as Centennial, Hickman Co. (briefly) and Cumberland University. He has been an assistant at many places as well including being a volunteer assistant right now at Trevecca. The point is he moves around a lot because he burns every bridge he crosses. Glad you have had a positive experience with him. Not everyone agrees with you. To each his own.

Wow, I know he can be gruff and bull headed whith the kids. Did not know he acted that way with adults also. Yeah, I have had a good experience with him. He has not only help my son with his game but with his education also. He has been a big part of my son's school life going on 5 years. Very suprising to hear that. Thanks for your input.

Can anyone tell me about Coach Petrone's (WHH) background in coaching? I know he has a couple of NCAA rings. Pretty sure one is a final four w/ Vandy /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> He is a great leader and more than just a coach to his boys. They will roll their eyes at him but, they all respect him and want his approval. He has done an excellent job in helping my son, both on and off the court. God bless him.
