We all can say what we want but non of it matters. The only thing that matters is the game on Friday. The players will decide the game on the field not on COACHT. Milan's schedule this year was pretty weak but there playoff competition was just as bad. Their opponents winning percentages were 54% in the playoffs. Granted they did play BTW but it seems like they were very lucky with the draw. It you really want to break it down well here it is they beat 2-8 BTW, 2nd round 7-4 Westview,7-5 JSC team & a 9-4 Goodpasture team. This was also the weakest Goodpasture team in the last 4 years. Alcoa's road to the finals. They played a 7-3 Cumberland Gap team, 7-4 CAK, 8-4 Loudon, and 11-2 Marion County team. That's pretty revealing once you look at it. I for one think the team that controls the others defensive line will win. Alcoa is battle tested in physical games, no doubt. I think their schedule has prepared them more for this game than Milans. That makes me think that Alcoa will pull away with this game in the fourth quarter. Alcoa 35 Milan 20

Yes TRADITION it is worth you showing up friday. I was giving you my opinion. If and I'm saying IF Goodpasture were to beat Milan AND IF Alcoa were to beat Marion. If Marion where to win then I would definitely pull for them. I just don't see that happening. People want to talk about this being Alcoa weakest team. I look at this team and see a great defense and good offense and great character. Are we as explosive on offense as the last 4 teams. NO. NO. AND NO. However are defense is as good as any of the last 4 if not better. They are giving up less than 6 points a game. You don't need to be explosive on offense if your defense is putting up #'s like that. Not only that, we have much more depth this year. So don't even bother to bring the whistle because it won't be a blowin.

We know one thing TRADITION, if your cougars win this week. Then they probably play Alcoa the following week. Where they have got killed, the last three years. They have got outscored 121-19 in 3 games. Goodpasture would have no chance at Alcoa. Milan maybe but Goodpasture beat before they get off the bus.

QuarterMac I appreciate your post but you must have bumped your head on this on. 5193 is right that Alcoa team was the best team in the state that year. I had several people express that to me including a couple of Gallatin fans before I left Nashville that night( championship game was at Vanderbilt then). Just to refresh your memory, Gallatin won 3a that year. Shannon Mitchell, Jamie Henry, and Chad Smith was as good as any tandem of linebackers that I had ever seen. This team won 2A when there was only 3 classifications. Also there were in the top 25 in the country that year. Best team Alcoa has ever had. Kingston was the second best team in the state that year.
