going to miss you Roy and Ole Pirate and you to geno.i have had posts deleted for just saying the kids did not deserve to be purnished as they have been by losing practices.the coaches are the only ones that should suffer from this.I understand the lawyer situation you spoke of CoachT i really do but how can they sue you or ME for saying THAT?Being that I am friends with one of if not the biggest Pirate Fan (David Wyatt) I do get a little too vocal at times at games and on here.I got on Grider last year when i shouldnt have at the Signal mountain game and it really bothered me.I have apoligized to him before this season started and hope there are no hard feelings.I believe He understands how we fans feel about our Pirates and hate to lose.i have enjoyed reading posts on here and how everyone has their own take on different subjects so hope yal come back for next football season.

I just saw where the Missouri state championships are held in St. Louis which isn't centrally located. The only place in the East I would be willing to make the exception for is Neyland though. I wish the Titans had turf as LP field would really be the ideal place to have this game.

anywhere on Grass NOT turf.injuries-injuries-injuries....thats all turf is good for.Central Tn. will always b the best but Beene Stadium/Grider Field would be great for us but makes no sense for any other team.

I was hopeful that a couple would not see any playing time in this one after what I witnessed last week...the attitudes of some don't deserve playing time! 

 

Sale Creek has my utmost respect for their upstart program and deserve to play against players with the same respect!

 

No way would I allow a player to act the way they did, disrespecting the Program, The "P" on the helmet, the school, the community, the Stat Guy and play in this game whether it was Sale Creek or any other program for that matter!

 

They would be standing on the sideline cheering on their teammates...and after the game wouldn't have to ask or say anything to the Stat Guy...their stats would match the Class and Respect that showed last week...ZERO!!!

 

And I know for a fact I'm not the only one that feels this way!

JF, You never had guts to suit up and still your best quality is running that mouth. You still do the same thing today as you have always done, stand on the sidelines attempting to tell the coaches......how the game needs to be played. I like the way Tim (coach Moore) has taken control of the team as a head coach should.Discipline is Key for Greatness.Players should learn this and use it to their advantage on the field.Roy is mad they made a player sit but it was the correct call.I wish Moore would have them to quit celebrating after touchdowns and big plays.Celebrate after the final whistle has been blown as a TEAM not as a individual after a single play.Just my thoughts

i don't about that onside kick but I did notice our punts going a lot farther. I think this Moore man has a lot of air in his footballs, Roy.

Pirates in a close game.The Defense will show up this week and we pull the upset.

WC comes in at (4-6). Their opp. combined record is (56-44). JB comes in at (5-5). Their opp. combined record is (55-45).

The two teams have one commen opp. Which is Cascade (6-4). JB lost to Cascade 14-6 and WC beat Cascade 19-6.

 

It looks like this is gonna be a pretty evenly matched game.....can't wait. GO WILDCATS!!!

I think a team should AT LEAST have a winning record to make it to the playoffs.Its not for losers...To steal a sarcastic quote from Chipper Jones "I think they should just let every team into the playoffs"The TSSAA is clueless.....go back to only 3 classifications then all this crying about having to play all these teams classed above us because 1A teams will not schedule us will stop...it meant something back then for a school with under 200 kids in school to win in 1A back then.i am a Pirate fan but we would not be in the playoffs this year if it went back to 3 classes.our D or lack of it is glaring this year.

its a very sad and troubling time for the family, community and sports in general when something like this happens to anyone.my prayers go out for Will and his family.hoping and Praying that he will make a full and fast recovery.having children this brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.....Be strong GOD is with him..

This is how it will go. SP gets the same zebra crew as this week and they call a penalty on every single SP offensive play. 13 sideline warnings and finally the referee tazes Vic rendering him unconscience for the rest of the game. With :33 left in the 4th, SP fumbles at the WHS 3 and the ball rolls 97 yards into the SP endzone for and the zebras call it a saftey after a long conference. Vic comes to and attacks the ref and pulls his mask of only to reveal his true identity as Troy Boeck. WHS wins 2-0. It is then discovered that the Mayans were wrong because the world ends. Vic still lodges a protest with the TSSAA. God disallows the protest and Vic, Bill Price, and Troy Boeck all get assigned to the same barracks in hades.

VERY TRUE....and we all may have seen a different outcome in this game had Grider not chosen to go for 2 in the 2nd quarter already up 20-13 kick the exta point go up 8.to me that was a very Bad call.that 1 point would have meant the world at the end if it had played out the same way it did from that point.then all we needed was an extra point to take the lead 56-55 with 4 minutes and change left in the game.who knows if signal would have scored again and even if they did if any time at all was left we still had a shot with our speed to break one more...JUST SAYING .... the Frame boy hasnt played football long but was a heck of a soccer player.he is pretty good for a freshman and we need to get away from going for 2 just for the heck of it.do it when it NEEDS to be done not in the 2nd quarter already up 7....hey and why not a fieldgoal sometimes on 4th and goal from the 5 instead of always going for it????Am i alone here or does anybody agree?

i am an old Pirate but i want to say congratulations to the WAYNE COUNTY WILDCATS on their STATE CHAMPIONSHIP win over our team.You are truly deserving of the GOLD BALL.yal played like a team that was determined to bring it home for your school and the fans...alot of our fans are still making excuses about this and that but believe you me they REALLY know inside that we were out played and out coached in this game.we had no answer for the Rice boy all game long...I was part of our 1st State Championship in 1969 so i know how it feels to bring home the 1st GOLD BALL for your school.wish yall all the luck in the world in your future.our team (to me) played as if they were supposed to just show up and take it home.so they got what they should have got for playing with that attitude..again my hat is off to your team and community on the Big win.WAYNE COUNTY 2011 CLASS 1A STATE CHAMPS....that has to sound and feel really good......

YEP....Got to agree that is the best route....Cant go play 4 the State without driving on some jasper back roads.... should just take a Parade through jasper on the way.....Be like ole times when we drove through Jasper on Friday before the game each year back in the 60s and early 70s.....

i've met a lot of sp posters and they are great, fun people that know their football. they have as a great a tradition as any program in the state and they have an uninterrupted stream of talent that is rivaled no where. they are without a doubt the best rival trousdale has ever had. and like all succesful programs they even have a few fans that think everything is a little better than it actually is, we have em, jo byrns has em, everyone does. but where you get the real seperation is with a guy like trainstracks, who see's everything magnified X10 and you're wrong and his opinion=truth and you're opinion=wrong and you're wrong and when you're wrong is right then he retreats with "keep telling yourself that sweetheart" and the like. thats when you know you've got him dead to rights.

They call him Train Tracks cause he got his head ran over by a Big ole Train when he was a little kid.So got 2 give him a Break if you can......
