Considering HC had the highest scoring O in Tennessee this year, I think they might be able to.

This talk about coaches is ridiculous. Who cares what assistant won and where he won at. Although I love the fact that HC's coaching staff includes a member of a super bowl winning team, it is completely irrelevant. It does not matter! I would venture to say that there are plenty of high school coaches who are much better at coaching young men than even Bill Bellichick. Nobody would argue with his credentials, but who is to say that his success in the NFL in a totally different environment translates well to high school football.

Don't get caught up in those rankings too much. Maryville was in the 50's and dropped about 30 spots without losing. They beat Rhea last week 28-6? and fell 20 spots while HC won by 2 and moved up. Granted Melrose is better than Rhea probably, but those rankings are so flawed it isn't even funny. Heck, Maryville is #19 on ESPN rankings.

Is this track and field or football? Who cares about the 40 yard dash times. Give me football speed. Both teams have been tested enough so please stop talking about how many times HHS has been tested. I might add, though, that a couple of those battles HHS came out on the losing end. I would expect a much more loose football team in HC next week. I think last week will do wonders for their confidence. To go on the road and turn it over 3 of their first 5 possessions and still win against Melrose is phenomenal. I am not degrading HHS, but the environment there will feel like a family reunion compared to Melrose.

How many HC fans were at the Melrose game? As many expected to be at Hillsboro?

Forget about this dude and his antics. Manning did get screwed out of the heisman imo, but I think he is absolutely fine with his super bowl MVP.

Even as a HC fan, I will find it hard to root against Darius Poole for all that he has been through.

Well I haven't had to put them in order in my public speaking class or any of my english classes. Maybe a coincidence, but that's the way it has been.

I made an 82, which I am calling a 92 because I was unaware of the alphabetical order bs. Didn't know I had to read the whole APA book. I cannot stand that class. I will avoid taking her at all costs in any future classes.

I can see why you think my prediction is way off, but HC will win by atleast 20 pts.

HC 54 - Fairley 26

HC will drop 30 on Melrose should they play. It is not the athleticism of Melrose's D that worries me; it is their athleticism that they have on O that we have yet to see that worries me. HC will get their pts, but can they stop Melrose from getting theirs. Maplewood had as good of a D last year than anyone HC has played or will play. HC's O is much improved to go with that. I know other teams are improved as well, but I don't see any team having as good of a defense as Maplewood had last year. I think we did ok offensively in that game.

Every time I have doubted them in regards to how bad they would win a game it has come back to bite me in the butt. Again, I did not say I think they would beat Melrose by 20 pts. I said I would not be surprised in the least if they did so. The common sense I was referring to was that sooner or later you should learn from your mistakes. Fact is, HC is a very good football team and Melrose does have 3 defeats. Regardless of why they lost or who they lost to, I cannot help but think that HC could capitalize. I know Melrose always has a good D but they only get to see an OFF. like HC's once per year. I guess something Melrose has going for them in the event of a matchup with HC is that they are used to passing a lot. No disrespect meant to Melrose; they are a darn good team as well, but I stand by my assessment.
