If i remember correctly that while i was playing linebacker for smyrna, i believe there was a freshman by the name of Deon Meadows making great plays and two juniors at safety followed by 2 or three juniors on the D line. and on offense i believe that a freshman won the offensive MVP, so there is some talent coming back to SHS
I played against most of the teams and Bearden should be right after Wilson Central and Indy is not that good.
1 MBA
2 BA
3 Smyrna
4 Maryville could very easily go with Maryville three and Smyrna 4 (very close i think)
5 Wilson Central
6 Alcoa
7 Riverdale
8 Lipscomb
9 South Pitt
10 not sure amybe Farragut or even fulton or Maplewood aint to bad either
Defense
Drew Garner Soph and Doem Meadows Fresh at Linebacker
Cory Cammon Jun and Andrew Jenkins Soph at SS
Cody Hagar Jun at FS
Tyler Eady Jun Dakota Woods Jun and Wesley Cadena Jun at DT
Nick Richardson Jun and Anthonk Smith Jun at DE
Offense
Tyler Eady on the Oline and not sure who else will be there but they have talent
Cody Hagar also at WR
Jeremiah Bryson Fresh and Kece Flemings Fresh isnt to bad either, he could play anywhere he is an athlete. Jarvis also at a bruiser back
Either Freeman or Woodard at QB
So we have a great defense coming back but the offense will have questions losing the Sonny to Rod connection and Martin, Hendricks and Torres also at WR (all seniors).
Maryville whipped Alcoa at the beginning of the year and now people think that ALcoa is better than MBA, BA, Smyrna, and a lot of other elite 5a teams. I am confused, that does not make much sense.
Blackman is going to come in dead last as usual, but Oakland could surprise some people and come slide in fourth, if what 2p is saying then they do have some talent coming back.
McChurch is a great QB, especially running the ball. I believe one of the overall best athletes in the region. ....Is he going anywhere to the next level.
