  1. I cant believe no one started this topic. Yes the game is going to be a blow out but Brett Standifer is playing his old team and no one has a comment about it. Is there any chance soddy catches bradley sleeping? Can this be a close game? How many yards will Standifer get? Would soddy's record be different if he would have stayed?

No chance SD catches Bradley sleeping. No it will not be a close game.Running or passing? SD would have 3 wins if he would have stayed just like they have now.

  2. Looks like SD is not hurting at QB like everybody was talking all summer after the Senior Transferred to Bradley

Maynor threw for 227 yards (16-20) and two touchdowns in his first start

    SD 1-0

    Bradley  0-1

yes that is good , now do it every week!!!

  3. Well looks like another good start as par for the course for the mocs this year led by the guidance of " Who is in charge now " Once again two arrest of two players who will be allowed to continue to play. What a joke program run by a joke. Double standards,buddy-ball,and if anyone wants to quit the team that is o.k. you can get back on.

  4. East 41 - West 20

    Congrats to the MVP's

West Offense Al Cobb from Giles

West Defense Anthony Batey from Ensworth

East Offense Reese Phillips from Signal Mountain

East Defense Devaun Swafford from DB

Phillips goes 10 for 10, for 94 yrds and 1 TD, alternating offensive possessions with Reed Hayes from Science Hill. Hopefully Coach Stoops at Kentucky is ready to reaffirm their commitment to Phillips.

It's unfortunate that Charlie High and Brent Stockstill didn't get to play, but I'm glad Reese got to show is stuff in a big venue.

Congrats to Reese another QB that earned MVP from Chatt. in this game. That makes 2 in the last few years.

  5. Do you cheer FOR anybody? Can't say I like what's been going on at UTC for the past couple of decades either, but I do enjoy being able to go watch football at Finley on Saturdays. And I'll keep cheering for the Mocs.

And that is your right to cheer for the myself I can't support double standards , a-kissing and

    buddy ball.

Go Furman win one for the good guys this week !!

  7. This message is why getting facts from coachT is a very bad idea. Let me counter a few of the things in your post with actual facts.

    1. SM didn't recruit if we had we would have been put under disciplinary action. So you can throw the recruiting out the window even Childress himself said they looked at it. Yet they only found a paperwork error.

    2. Even though I answered the recruiting above I will still say Coach Price wouldn't and didn't go to Howard and get athletes. We don't have one kid from Howard starting or playing.

    3. Single county schools have the same advantage as every other in the state. You are classified with schools similar in size. You mention three single county schools and I have ranked them smallest to largest.

Bledsoe, the smallest yet the best.

Sequatchie, smaller than Grundy yet better

Grundy, the largest and worst of the three.

    4. Signal Mountains enrollment is about the same as Sequatchie which is less than Grundy. we have 1330 kids in the school and over 600 of those are in middle school.

Now given these fact it kinda blows your reason for blowing the whistle out of the water. But we don't wonder why the whistle was blown we know and it's simple. It's because we are winners and whoever did it isn't. They couldn't beat our kids on the field so they had to get the TSSAA to go after us. And the TSSAA appears to have done it eagerly and was only successful because they get to interpret their rules anyway they wanted too.

Remember if you go by how this was interpreted that section 13 overrides section 12 a kid with an athletic record that switches schools as a result of re-zoning or a reassignment is ineligible because they didn't have a bona fide move, as it is requiered in section 13.

    How bout

    1) SM did not recruit, they cheated !

    2) Why would he go to Howard they have not one a game !

As far as why the whistle was blown well probably because people are tired of getting beat by a dishonest program if there was nothing there the TSSAA would have said so.And yes the TSSAA is the BIG MAN on campus , sorry !!

    Good luck next year

  8. We did tell them about his transfer and we completed the paperwork properly. That's our story and I'm sticking to it, because I believe it is true. You will come around and see the light. Even the local sports talk guys here in Chattanooga saw the light and think we might just be right.

Quit crying " THE MIGHTY DO NO WRONG SM EAGLES " Cheated and got caught now they need to man up and pay for it !! but no as expected they do the C------ S--- thing and appeal !! Speaks volumes about the true color of the MIGHTY DO NO WRONG SM EAGLES.

  9. No I won't let it die. Don't know what he ever did to you. I personally am fine with him. Don't know how well you know him or how he might have crossed you in the past. I think he's a good man and a good coach. Crazy as the proverbial outhouse rat, but so am I.:roflolk:

" No I won't let it die " I can't quit laughing the mighty DO NO WRONG SM EAGLES BUSTED FOR CHEATING IMAGINE THAT !!! Hey Troll I see on here where you refer to somone being a big pile! Careful Troll better look where the Dog drops you!! Come on don't be a bad sport THE MIGHTY DO NO WRONG SM EAGLES CHEATED AND GOT CAUGHT GREAT STUFF !! Good luck in the playoffs !!

  10. Mocs looked good last night, beatin' Georgia Southern(#18) with authority. Now 4-2 overall, 3-1 in SoCon. Woulda, shoulda, coulda beat AppySt and JackSt.

The Hermit and The Troll wuz there.:thumb:TheHermitandTheTroll-1.jpg

Will they break into the Top 25?

Division I-AA, FCS Top 25 Coaches Poll

The old McCallie duo of Coleman and Bradshaw only connected on 3 for 24, but true freshman Keon Williams from Red Bank looked GREAT running for 90 yrds on 16 carries, mostly in the 4th qtr to seal the W for Chattanooga.

The Troll also noticed (I shoulda known) that Mr. Football 2009, Terrell Robinson(SPitt) is on the roster.:thumb:

Lots of good Tennessee High School Football players on that roster. 'Spect ole Coach Huesman will be around for a while if he wants. And....Where's his son, Jacob, Sr. QB at Baylor gonna go next year? Looks good for the future.:thumb:

    "Restore the Glory"

    GO MOCS!

To bad Buddy Ball loses to The Citadel. And another arrest!! Keep up the good work!

  11. pass blocking isn't good, WRs are young. Spread offense just wasn't working.

    Good answer!! " Dynamite dozen#1 , Elite 11 " WHAT A JOKE !!!!!

Slaughter has had two other QB'S and never changed from the spread and it was not because of no pass blocking or young wr's. You either can or you can't !!

  12. Goosedad a W is a W, Mcminn boosters pay good money for those Referees, lol. Is the refs even from around here don't they travel to various games each week and not MCMINN REFS? Dear Derrick I do agree with you about the option, it would be hard to stop with good speed at the key positions good point. Also, Bo was a defensive coach in Georgia and that is his strength. But the games I have seen I feel like he has game planned well, whether the kids play well is out of his hands but I feel like he has given every opportunity he could with x's and o's. Now I also agree he should snap the ball from center some and look into the option a little but so should a lot of teams including the VOLS. But if you know much about the option it is a love/hate relationship it is complex and has a huge risk for turnovers, and it needs a different Quarterback than Mcminn has to be able to run it. Red Bank would win the state this year if they ran it, but should they try to put it in because it is different, no. It has its pluses and minuses, weigh them out a little and lighten up on poor ole BO, Mullinax ran the same offense for many years before you were born before he ever learned different philosophy's and started running different sets. Give him some more years and heck it seems to be so important to you so ask to help coach some instead of bashing. And last but not least 89 CHARGER you can put together the ALL-STAR team from Central from 89 to the present and I would still run for 200 plus yards have 4td and 20 tackles against you guys so... NEXT!

"Red Bank would win the state this year if they ran it"

They could not win the state if they ran it every play including practice !!!!

  13. mr. Brown or whatever your last name is, you obviously have your facts wrong. 3 teams make it to the finals of the signal mtn. 7 on 7 tournament they flip a coin and the odd man out sits untill the final game. Soddy has made it to the finals all 3 years that the signal tournament has existed, winning it last year.

Have the talent to been beaten by teams we shouldn't have, not that soddy should have lost either of the games but Baylor was pretty dang good, better than they were last year in my opinion and may win state depending on how they do on friday against ensworth. red bank is alot better than people give them credit for they have a lot of GOOD atheletes, and the same with Bradley.

Speed is the name of the game and yes soddy may be the biggest school in Hamilton county but they sure aren't winning any track meets. There is truth behind the meaning SPEED KILLS.

G21, other than Scotty P, what great QB's has slaughter had?? Please don't prove yourself ignorant and say voytik

I do not know how many other QB'S he has coached but he had a good one at SD. And I won't prove myself ignorant Voytik could not carry his ball bag on his worst day !!!!

  14. foozballman,

looked even worse in 7 on 7's??? thats funny because the way I remember it soddy made it to the finals in the signal tournament. Also they beat signal in both the preleminary and tournament rounds, and they have arguably the best qb and wr in the area. Also looking from what I read soddy had a freshman playing in the signal 7 on 7.

Mr. Brown please tell the coaches what they need to do so soddy can finish the season 12-3 with your guidance on both offense and defense.

g21, what exactly is so special about slaughter's spread?? he runs normal spread passing game stuff, that seemed revolutionary to people around here because they were used to the wing t, when in fact all it is, is a basic spread offense. No special combinations or anything with any WOW factor, and at this point in the game with as many football coaches out there nothing is being reinvented just small things are being tweaked.

I don't remember saying anything about Slaughters spread being anything special all I said was it takes a good QB to run it and he had one when he was there.
