  1. Catholic would not dominate in AAA; however, this year's Catholic team could have made a legitimate run. I could have seen them getting as far as Oak Ridge...maybe final eight, possibly final four.

I think it would vary from year to year. This year's Catholic team could have done VERY well in AAA. The only two AAA teams that I saw that were better than Catholic in AAA were West and Farragut.

You dont think that Brentwood or houston were better?

Oak Ridge moved through the district and region to the final four of state and got beat 6-1 by houston.

Brentwood beat west 3-0 in the final four.

Yes catholic was very good but dominate? I dunno it is over so technically we will never know, sadly.

  2. 24-0-0.

Perfect Season and 0 goals allowed in post season play.

How about them apples east tennessee? 2 out of the last 4 years go to Brentwood and the senior class has dominated with 2 state championships compared to farragut and bearden each getting ONLY 1

  3. I'll go with Brentwood 2-0.

Brentwood will fall this year, but not this game.

West will beat them 2-1 next round.

Just because your team got beat by brentwood 3 times this year doesnt mean you should pick against them. Choose wisely Mr. Independence

  4. No ones taking anything away from Brentwood.. they are a great team

But the only game that anyone can say Independence didn't "show up for" would be their 5-0 loss. The other 3 losses were to quality teams in close games. Two of those losses were to Brentwood (and one of those was in four overtimes).

    You mean 3 losses?

  5. Are you saying Jack would leave West for Brentwood? I highly doubt that. Unless you know something I do not.

Brentwood is Brentwood Soccer Club, which is travel.

    West is High School.

They play opposite seasons and instead of playing at TNFC he would play At Brentwood Soccer Club. Brandon plays for TNFC also but its there last year so its not a big deal.

  6. after last nights game i would say that independence is one of the best teams in state. playing 80 minutes of regulation 2 10 minute over times and 2 five minute overtimes independence matched them step for step. Take nothing away from brentwood but the play of independence last night made a statement and will be evident in the following games. Why is it do you think independence gets no respect?

Who do you think has not given them respect? I mean Brentwood has beat them 3 times in one season with a combined score of 8-0. Thats the fact! There isn't a person on here that said Independence was terrible and hasn't given you guys any repsect. Quality team that has shown up the past few games and one that has a chance to beat Hendersonville. You ARE given respect so stop talking and go earn it!

  7. West wins this one 3-0. Farragut win is a huge confidence booster for this team

    West is still thinking about the last game..who did they play again?? : /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    Oak Ridge 2-1

Also its fun picking against everyone else, it keeps things interesting

  8. Hendersonville is a very quality team that will make it to state and possibly surprise some "haters." Personally i think the strong teams this year are coming from the middle, assuming we are counting blackman and riverdale as part of the middle.

Also, it's going to be good to see new faces from the east this year instead of Bearden and Farragut who some people would say got "ripped" but some would say deserved it and got out played. Everyone has an opinion but the actuality of this is that they are out and done regardless.

What is the east looking like? They are very quiet on coacht and do not say much..any info on the 4 teams left?

  9. BGA and Baylor are not from the east and won DII the past two years years and Father Ryan has the #1 seed so far so i will give the middle the edge assuming people classify baylor as part of the middle...who won DII state in 2005?

The senior class has had three years a state and are approaching there fourth with Brentwood winning freshman year, Bearden winning sophomore year, and Farragut winning junior year so the east has the edge a little bit even though Hendersonville did show up and lost two years in a row in the finals over pk's which is pretty unlucky. The West hasn't showed up but this could be the year they do. Out of the final four teams from last year half are already eliminated with blackman and brentwood still going strong with a combined 1 loss between them both belonging to blackman.

In single A it goes to the east for sure. BigG and company have put them away, what is he just sitting in his office all day juggling state rings? Haha, only joking but he is an exceptional person first and foremost, who just happens to be an outstanding coach. Cak is nipping at there heels this year and we will see how it plays out this year

  10. It shouldn't be Leedle at all.

Danny Rayburn (Brentwood's central defense) should get credit for Brentwood's shutouts, and be in the running for POY before Leedle is ever considered.

I dont feel like you have any room to talk. They both complement each other and both do a great job. Watched them play and he gets to take more risks back there because he knows his butt is covered

  11. Derosa(catholic)-solid keeper

    Coffman(hendersonville)-much improved and very solid

Farmer(independence)-NOT very good, too much hype and let 7 goals go by vs. brentwood in 2 games

    Leedle(brentwood)-best in state

Holt-(riverdale)-has great size and agility so i put him at #2

Bristol(bga)-very good but very young, hard to beat him

  12. Yeah, that's a good point.

How old is carter? Club team? any info?

McCoy is solid but doesnt put up the numbers that a POY usually does like a Lowder or a Webster. Any other thoughts? (maybe from non east this time)

  13. From the East, some players that deserve consideration:

    1.) Cody McCoy (West)

    2.) Ridge Carter (Maryville)

    3.) Aaron Shonefield (Bearden)

All of these players are absolute game changers and play their best soccer in big games.

I dont think it will be aaron only because he got knocked out of the running when bearden lost and there season ended
