Who isn't impressed with both teams in the 5A State championship game. I am impressed with the Ravenwood Raptors. Very remarkable for a team to win the BIG ONE with only 3 years of varsity play. Congratulations Oak Ridge for a great year. I guess we will have to get one for the pinky next year.

Oak Ridge WITH OUT a DOUBT should have won it all in '99 with the talent they had. They were out coached by Coach Brewer and his staff period. They were ONE DEMINSONAL with the Wing T and if they could have jumped out of it and run any other NON WING T schemes take your pick they would have a gold ball that year. Heck, the Wildcats should have at least 2 more since '91. They will win tomorrow! ROLL WILDCATS!!

BY the way "Ole Dad" I assume you were at Jack Armstrong stadium but did you have a radio to listen to "your" Bruce? As always, "your" Bruce, who by the way has not changed, was on WATOam being interviewed by the much loved VOICE of the WILDCATS Mr. David Clary. Your Bruce sat there and critisized what they were doing on the field "they should have done this", "he should have caught that pass", " I would have done this" just like the old days criticizing the other coaches and players. This is and always will be his biggest downfall. God Bless David Clary for his patience. He should be sainted for having to do the coach’s show on Wednesday nights when Bruce was in Oak Ridge. Like I said in the spring Oak Ridge will win state this year and would have had several more had Mr. Stephens showed up at the rodeo sooner! Oak Ridge will be the only school to have a state championship in every decade since the 50’S! GO WILDCATS!

NO it is not baloney. And no not great. Bruce NEVER won the BIG GAME. EVER. There have been 4 GREAT head coaches at Oak Ridge [if OR wins next week] 1] Jack Armstrong 2] Emory Hale 3] Joe Gaddis 4] Stanton Stephens [with one more win] Bruce may have been a great defensive coach but that is where the great ends. But hey, what do I know anyway.

As I listen to David via the internet from Miami Oak Ridge wins 17 to ZIP in what I consider the State Championship game! Thanks to the PLAYERS Coach Oak Ridge has missed since the Gaddis days the drought is over, the monkey is off the back of the WILDCATS!!! CONGRATULATIONS WILDCATS!

Thanks to WATO and Mr. Clary I was able to listen to the Oak Ridge vs Farragut game last on the internet from Miami Florida! It sounded better than from my house in Oak Ridge. Working Hurricane Wilma. It sounded like there was a hurricane at BLANKENSHIP FIELD and JACK ARMSTRONG stadium last night. Two touchdowns called back as usual from Chatt.refs. It sounded as the game should not have been as close. This year Oak Ridge with finally a great motivating coaching staff I predict Oak Ridge will beat Riverdale for the first time. Oak Ridge 21 Riverdale 14 overtime Al Bundy is a god.

According to coachT Oak Ridge has 1460 students. Maryville has 1351. Riverdale has 1734. Math tells me 109 students seperate OR and Mville. Would love to see OR and Mville play sooner than when the class changes. But, we will all have to wait. As Oak Ridge numbers decline and Mville numbers expand we will never know what would have been.

Hey CATPACK or CATWATCH what time is the CATPACK meeting tomorrow night?

This has been an interesting discussion and I agree with most posts including arm health, Polston doing the right thing and Froning admitting guilt. Should Froning resign? he won't, but Oak Ridge does need a new direction. Since the Sharpes' brought Froning to Oak Ridge to coddle little Donnie Oak Ridge baseball has been mediocre at best.
