Nobody ever said for players not to have to work hard, the point is, nobody is going to work for someone if they get nothing out of it. Its not fun winning with "Coach" Lussier.

There is a guy at BA named Trevor Hewitt, Mason Revelette, and Bean CLark that run non-winded 4.2 they average 270 lbs. and are amaziningly fast and should go straight from HS to the NFL as free agents hoping to make millions off there quicknesssss.......... ps. you shouuld check these guys out!!!!! not a chance pal........my leg is longer now!

ohreally, I think we can all agree you don't give up on these kids. Successfull coaches don't give up on them. They create a positive atmosphere where the kids feel wanted, needed, and inspired to be part of something special. Most programs may lose one or two every couple of years but I have never seen anything like Oak Ridge is experienceing ever.......... It is total negligence.

ohreally...did bruce mention Coach Porter like coach Pratt has also left the team? [maybe to go to Alcoa] I heard OR was getting a couple of coaches from...yep Maryville College? the big connection.

SirPettus....Oak Ridge used to have 100+ kids out for one sport like you said in your last post...I think 60 is more like it now. Bruce has always used the WEAK comment "I can't go out there and do it for them".....1] He is right he couldn't go out there and do it for them 'cause he CAN"T. 2] He doesn't seem to get the kids ready to go out there and do it either. 3] I have seen players work out the off season and they still didn't play. By the way I heard you went to a Bruce Lussier appreciation party!..... Then... when no one else showed up, the two of you had a great time talking about the old days. A little update on the kids not playing this year. I do blame the coach for most of the troubled players that will not play this year and I will tell you why: Most great coaches are accessible to the players, parents, fans etc. Most great coaches EARN the respect of the aforementioned and the players try much harder to walk a straight line and keep their grades up because they REALLY want to play for their coach....They also get encouraged and motivated to do better. INSPIRATION is an unknown commodity in Oak Ridge today. The case at Oak Ridge is where the coach and or coaches blame the players for not being successful. The list will continue to grow: Sure you can say it's not the coaches fault but I bet if a good or great coach were in place THEY WOULD BE IN SCHOOL AND PLAYING... Just the first dozen that comes to mind: Demitrius Strickland, Geoffery Lee, Doran Lee, Jason Rowan, Jason Hedrick, Devon Brown, Thomas Curan, Nick Salpas, Troy Whitson, Zack Paynter, Sherrod Scott, Josh Booker ....MORE LATER!...Elery Harvest? to Rockwood? Catwatch, I agree with you the OR team has alot of talent as they did last year. Hopefully the BID RED can win the games they are supposed to despite the problems and not have a suprise like last year at Heritage. If the best players are on the field instead of the infamous DOG HOUSE they will go far!
