The game is cancelled.. Any news on the Camden West Carroll game? Look forward to Clarksburg tomorrow..

No news yet..Fingers crossed we will play as we have Clarksburg tomorrow and no practice since Monday

School is cancelled for Benton County tomorrow wonder if we will play or not /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Yeah forgot to mention the subbing nonsense..How can you get in a rhythm subbing every couple of minutes..

Yeah Bruceton can luck up and get you.. They have the strangest strategy..They all shoot 3's no matter what... If they are hitting I am sure they could be hard to beat.. We were up by 30 and our starters played only about half the game... I am hoping for a good couple of weeks for our boys... We have Houston Cty tomorrow and Clarksburg Friday.. We keep looking better with every game and still not as good as we can play..If we continue to improve and play team ball we should be very competetive come tournament time..

Well Carroll Academy went as expected we beat them by a pretty heft number and that is with out B and C teams in there for most of the 2nd half... I was interested with all of this talk about Larue what we would see..Honestly the kid does have talent but did not score much in the first half at all..scored the majority of his points against our B and C teams that is when he really shined.. He did not have the chops against our starting 5 but then again it would help if he had a bit more talent to work with... He is a good player... About the above posts..... Greer is a good player, an impressive athlete I do not dispute that but anyone that plays 4 quarters of basketball all games and every game and averages 1 foul per game is suspect in my mind..If you are playing an aggressive game at both ends of the court it would warrant more than 1 foul per game... I would also like to mention that he has some kids around him that can also score and they do well also. It is a shame that all the attention must be on 1 player.. When we played them their one guard I think his name was Cunningham? was very iimpressive... Scruggs and McClain both had good games also.. He does have some help and they all get lost if the "Greer" frenzy which in my opinion is a shame...He is a good player hands down and that is that..But our 2 guards are quite good also.. I would love to see he and Cox match up I think it would be great to see..

How did the Huntingdon/WC game go?

We were looking forward to the CC game tonite but it has been rescheduled for Thurs due to the weather.

Big Sandy had a good game at Huntingdon last night..I think we won by about 12 or so not sure.. The boys looked really good. We missed alot of open shots under the goal, which was a shame as we would have probably won by 30. Cox and Cuthbertson moved the ball well. And took control of the game. It was a good night over all.. Still not the team I know we could be but improving every game. Tournaments I believe will be in Huntingdon

Yeah I would think Greer scored in the lower 20's upper teens... He had alteast 2 obvious fouls that were not called..Our only player to shoot foul shots all night was Cox, noone else even made it to the line.. It was ridiculous... I thought the boys played an excellent 2nd half and deserved better. This is HS for goodness sake why all the obvious favortism... It hopefully will be a different story at home and come play off time..If WC is truly the better team they should not need the help...The boys fought hard and played well.. Not as good as I have seen them play though, they can still do alot better for sure...Also about the particular ref SimpleMan pointed out it was not him last night... He might have missed some calls but who doesn't, the outright biased calls came from one of the other refs..I think the ref the previous post was referring too has done much better in our recent games..JMHO...

I am so upset..The refs gave the game to WC..We lost 84-83 on a BS call at the end.... Our boys deserved that win

Well were won a very sloppy game against Clarksburg, considering our 2 best scorers shot less than 25% from the floor but the whole team shot amazingly from the free throw line probably 90%... Tonite we had Mckenzie and our boys looked good as a team.. Cuthbertson was hot, hit may 3's and defensively Cox really stepped it up with many steals and rebounds, plus contributed with points.. First time this season we have seen them truly run the floor and look good as a team.. Hopefully this will continue next week... We have Dresden Monday, West Carroll Tuesday and Huntingdon Friday... Can't wait GO RED DEVILS!!!

Well Riverside got us by 3... We started off the season this way last year and ended it extremely well so I am not to worried... The boys looked decent and it was a very physical fast paced game.... We are not very deep on the bench and Riverside subbed ALOT... Losing by 3 was not bad, as I expect we will have 2 wins next week against Mcewen and Carroll Academy...Again I think they will be hard to stop in our district...GO RED DEVILS

Well we had Scotts Hill last night and looked pretty rough..Our boys were playing really keyed up and had alot of nerves.. I look forward to them hopefully settling down tonite against Riverside... Scottshill looked great but as I said we totally were off our game... We only lost by 10 I think and as bad as we played was a blessing... I look for the boys to settle down and since our first challenge in the district will not be until Jan, I feel we will have the kinks worked out by then...

Greer is good but Big Sandy has a starting 5 that can outscore any team..They seem to be coming together as a team and at camp this summer were talked of as the best team there... We had a scrimmage against Bruceton, I know they are not that great, But the starters only played a couple of quarters and started the first quarter off with a 27-0 scoreboard.. I am telling you they look fantastic.. I think their 2 guards Cuthbertson and Cox are going to dominate this year as they are both working and training really hard... We'll see, but if I were betting I would put money on BS

I am going to go out on a limb here and say Big Sandy all the way... THe team has improved alot and at camp this summer they dominated and impressed a heck of alot of people at waynesboro... Cuthbertson and Cox are two tough guards and Foust, Phifer and Snow can all score...We will be hard to stop offensively...

I think 14 A hands down. With that being said Big Sandy looks fantastic this year and should not be counted out in our district..We came close last year and should have won against Clarksburg... That being said Go Red Devils

I have to say there was a kid from Big Sandy this year that just moved there... Chris Cox #22...averaged about 20 points a game and led in steals... He will be a junior this year...Had an awesome tournament last year...

West Carroll won by a small margin...It was a good game...Also I agree...A BIG CONGRATS to the Rockets...Also Congrats to Big Sandy for a hard fought game....
