  1. Last year it was at Ryan on a Friday prior to a AAU tournament. That combination worked well and made for a competitive tournament both days. The two different weight and age structures made it two completely different tournaments with different opponants..

  3. This is great. I've been to tournaments in other states that didn't require a card. Self insured and usually had good attendance. USA and AAU provide good structure if structure is a concern but for programs that are established and organized (like NCW is) there is no reason they shouldn't be independant and self insured.
  4. Did NCW go to the scheduling meeting when the dates were decided on. It doesn't seem like AAU would double book a weekend. It's just not smart.
  5. They will have catfish. They catch em outta that big ol pond.
  6. At least it is getting talked about in a public way. Its 200 dang matches.
  7. Your exactly right. However if nothing is said to them encouraging them to do the will of the people then nothing changes!!! How many people have email'd or called their representitives or Ronnie himself?? Those of us that don't really shouldn't comment or this or any other subject concerning Ronnie or the Board. How many people have email'd or called their representitives or Ronnie himself??
  8. Exactly, these rules don't impact the larger more established programs. Programs with large staffs and unpaid coaches aren't impacted. They are able to continue having their kids coached during the dead periods by unpaid coaches. Smaller programs can't do that due to lack of coaching bodies. For some programs it wouldn't help due to a lack of a dedicated head coach but when you have a dedicated head coach that would put the time in then it restricts how effective that coach could be.
  9. I don't think doing nothing is the best response. It doesn't matter where they are from or who they are, if they get enough phone calls and emails they will take it a little more serious.
  10. If we make enough noise things will change.
  11. Do something about. The only people that can change anything are the members of the Board of Control. Well here they are... 13. Well that seems pretty easy. Sounds very doable for this to happen. What do we need to do to make it happen. What services can we volunteer to make it happen.
  14. Ok guys/gals. How do we get this to happen? I hear a lot of talk but it has for years apparently been directed in arrant directions. It should be the same as getting an elected official to follow the will of the people. I believe this subject is the will of the people as I haven't heard of anyone not in favor of the change. Who do we call and what is the number to call? Who is above that person/committee members and what is their numbers and addresses? What open meetings can people attend? All of this is just talk from keyboard heroes if the people who can make a difference aren't pushed to make the difference.
