If you know anything about basketball then you should realize that the losing team has more fouls called on it 9 out of 10 times in the second half because they have to foul at the end of the game to catch up. The refs didn't cause Liberty to miss all those shots in the second half Bolivar's defence did. It wasn't hard to watch Liberty jack up 3's the second half after they hit a few at the start. 44 to 22 in the second half--enough said.

The fact is Liberty couldn't take advantage of Bolivar playing like crap the first half and then got blowed out 44 to 22 in the second half. Bolivar put it in another gear offensively and Liberty couldn't deal with it and Bolivar turned up the defence. Bolivars second half defence and limiting the offensive rebounds was the main deference in the game not the refs.

Almost time, the excitement is building. This is really just a bragging rights game but both teams will play like it is for the gold ball. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Truth hurts sometimes but you are right I looked at the scores of the team BTW scored 149 on and that team is just bad. They were getting beat by 50 or more in most games they played and they rarely scored over 30 points in a game. I do think the west will dominate the gold balls agian this year.

I agree, when they lost to Bolivar in sub-state last year they had maturity issues. If those issues have been addressed then they should bring home the gold ball.

Bolivar plays Liberty for the third time this year. who will win, I got Bolivar by 5 points. This is going to be a rough game and I hope the refs don't decide it.

Bolivar or Liberty play hard and leave everything on the line when they play each other so Liberty losing a game has no bearing one way or the other when they play Bolivar. I just know Liberty is better than Lexington and wondered how they managed to lose with so much on the line.

Bolivar and Liberty playing a basketball game is always a must see no matter what the record they always play each other tough.

The game everybodys waiting for, Liberty comes to Bolivar Tues. Jan. 17. This should be a classic. I got Bolivar winning by 5 points. Both teams have been playing well but as we all know Bolivar always plays well at home.

I think Bolivar lost by 10. i left with a minute left in the game. What could have been a good game was destroyed by the REFFS. Not saying Bolivar would have won just saying bad reffs killed it for everybody. There was no flow to the game because there was a wistle practically everytime down the floor. Two good teams though.

Haven't read much about this tourny. I hear Bolivar boys are in the championship game Thursday. Anyone know who they play and at what time. Any body that has been at the games have any comments on how the teams looked. I also hear that Bolivar girls made it to the champ. game who do they play. I'm usually up on these things but I just returned from the snow in Illinois.

Out of all the posts I have seen over the years this the most miss guided [ that is the only clean statement I could think of ]. Beat down? Tired out? You do know that you are playing Bolivar don't you? I am not going to comment any further. All I can say is good luck, you are going to need it.

Bolivar plays Stone Memorial at 6:45 WED. I don't know anything about Stone so I will make a guess of BOLIVAR BY 12 POINTS. Bolivar has beaten 4 of the top 5 ranked AA TEAMS this year. Any info on Stone M?

So this was more of a hope than a prediction. I don't think LA can match up against Liberty they are a complete team with bigs and guards that can play. In my opinion district 14AA takes home the trophy again [ Liberty or Bolivar ].

Bolivar went to Memphis and dismantled BTW. Bolivar let BTW push them around in the first half but after Bolivar figured out that this was more of a football game Bolivar made the adjustment and there talent took over. It was apparent from the start that all Bolivar had to do was stop the three point shooting of BTW, When That Happened BTW litterally fell apart. It was comical to watch Bolivar who has a coach who was in complete control of his team then look at BTW the coach had to throw to of his players out of the game because they were about to fight WITH EACH OTHER. In the end Bolivar was more talented, more focused, and better coached.

Is it true that Hillcrest has been disqualified for using a ineligable player and the winner between Bolivar and Liberty go to the Boro. The loser has to play B.T. Washington.

This is true, hopefully talent will overcome like last year.

If Bolivar can make it past Fayette Ware I see no problem with them going to Memphis and winning. The top ranked team in Memphis so far is Hillcrest and Bolivar has played them twice, lost by one at Hillcrest and blew Hillcrest up in BOLIVAR. Bolivar and Liberty are used to playing in Memphis and Fayette Ware is playing great now. So I believe D14AA sweeps its way to the Boro just like last year. Just my humble opionion.

I will go with Liberty, they seem to be the most complete team. Bolivar has got the talent but no leader which is why they have this Jeckle and Hyde season going on but they are still dangerous beating 3 of the top ten in AA [Liberty, Hillcrest, Westview]. Marshall Co. is a one man team that, I don't think they can pull it off.

No leadership. The bad Bolivar showed up tonight. To much one on one, Bolivar my have played a whole game without recording a assist.

Liberty comes to Bolivar Tues. Feb 1st in the game that will decide the winner of 14AA. Liberty has lost only one district game and that was to Bolivar, BCH has lost two. In my opinion if Bolivar can hold up against the press they should win. Bolivar had 26 turnovers against Southside and still won by 14 Friday and there was a T. Polk sighting, the kid had been in a slump since xmas.
