Could you explain that a little more, what do you mean by shooting down? Farragut is one of the most diciplined teams in the state and I find it hard to believe that a freshmen pitcher would do something like that.

I guess you would have to go all the way back to the district tournament for an actual start. Im sure he has been throwing on the side and will be ready to take the ball whenever called upon.

Alright the final four are set... Farragut, Bartlett, Science Hill, and Ravenwood are all left. Does anyone think that Science Hill and Ravenwood can pull the upset and win twice or does the Farragut-Bartlett Championship game seem imminent?

Does anyone know if the state tournament games will be on the radio?

That is true, and I wasn't trying to be arrogant. I feel that Farragut would be able to make it out of either bracket because of their talent and coaching. The lower bracket looks easier at this point but baseball can be a crazy game. Their depth is the reason I feel that they can win it all. In a double elimination tournament depth is one of the most important aspects and Farragut has the depth in their pitching staff to overcome any adversity they face in the tournament. I just felt that it was ridiculous that someone could make the point that Farragut is bound to lose because they have lost three games this season. If he had pointed out a weakness in the team or a real reason why they should be beat then that would have been fine. Any team that loses only three games in a season is an extremely good team and I would stand up for any team that is able to do that. I don't know much about Lincoln Co. or Arlington, can anyone fill me in on how they have done this season and how you feel they match up against the other teams in the bracket?

wow three losses thats a lot.... o wait its not... losing only three games in a season when you have played over forty is outstanding. Farragut has the depth and raw talent to go all the way no matter who they play. They are by far the best coached team in the state and are ready to bring home their fouth title in six years.

I think it's time to move away from the field issues and move toward the matchups. Lets hear predictions and opinions on the teams in the tournament. What are the big games and who will win it all.

Upper Bracket Bartlett Mt. Juliet Oakland Science Hill Lower Bracket Arlington Ravenwood Lincoln Co. Farragut The upper bracket games will be played at Oakland and the lower will be played at Siegel. I know Oakland has a very nice field but how is Siegel's field?

On Farragut's website the start time is 6:30. I don't think that any team can be an overwhelming favorite in a regional final. Both teams will most likely save their best starters for the sub state round so I feel there will be a good amount of runs scored. Farragut has an edge because of how deep their pitching is and the home field advantage. Should be a great game.

farragut's field is not that big, but all of the home runs hit tonight would have gone out anywhere...

White House had a pitcher who mixed his pitches pretty well and kept Farragut??™s hitters off balance, but as a team overall they were obviously outmatched. Farragut had some well executed bunts and impressive defense that put them over the top in this game. Farragut had good pitching as well only giving up one run.

Well Farragut has won both their games by at least ten runs this season and Bearden is bringing back a good group of experienced pitchers that will most likely keep them in any game, last year is in the past but if you really wanted to look back over the last few years you would realize that Maryville has always been bad and i dont expect anything to change... Until you can back up what your saying with wins over good teams this year dont bother posting cause no one is going to take you seriously

First off this is a Farragut/Bearden thread so i dont know why maryville is on here talking themselves up... and when was the last time Maryville did anything good, both Farragut and Bearden will destroy you when the time comes

Farragut lost to them last year because they played terrible in that game.... One win last year doesn't make LC any good this year
