The kids have to be held accountable for their actions on the court and so should the refs, especially the lazy out to make a quick easy buck refs like chattanooga has. In any job whether it is a second or part time job ,should be done seriously. My boys have dedicated their whole lives to the game and have had unbelievable outcomes in some games because of the officiating. Its not fair to the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrestling referees are evaluated with a point system and rewarded for excellent refereemansip and also held accountable for laziness and unproffesionalism. I wonder if they could apply that to other sports. How long have you been a ref

Your hillarious. Thanks for asking. He is doing a lot better than I am. He is looking forward to next year and will probably never look at another ref as long as he lives. We are going to work on his display of passion for the game of bball so this never happens again, Take care and god bless

Thankyou everyone for your opinions. Some of you have made a lot of sense and even helped me look at things differently. You are absoutely right about parents not disciplining their kids and leaving it up to the schools and then getting upset with the school for doing the parents job. That is how we lost our coach of 8 years at my sons school. Of course I do know my sons better than most dads know their kids and I know everyone believes that and that it is a subjective opinion. My kids know better than to talk back to the refs and that is why they didnt. My son got his head ripped off when he got home because I was recording the game and did not see it clearly until I got home and saw it and then apoligized to my son for judging him the way I did. He now knows to be passionate but to be smart about it. I could never be a ref. I am not thick skinned enough. I let things get to me easily and that is not a good trait for a ref. However if i was a ref I would tell the players pregame how the game would be called and allow the players to adjust to all of a sudden calling the game tight. I would be consistent which seems to be everyones complaint about refs. Anyway thank god for the refs that take their jobs seriously and make basketball a great game. My son missed his brothers final game, and is suspended for two games so I think he learned his lesson. He is our top shooter and leading scorer and he knows his actions cost them the season whether justified or not. And who says sports does not prepare you for life. Oh yeah something I have not mentioned before, that ref that gave the unwarned 2nd tech has had a history with that schools bball program for the last 6 years. Not only that the school has been in the news a lot and has formed some bad opinions of the school. Whattever happened it seemed like the twilight zone . One minute were playing great bball and the next my sons on the bench and the season is over, pretty crazy night. Anyway good luck to all you parents its not easy is it.

Hixson sure has gone though a lot of adversity this year. Those boys really pulled toghether and started having fun and won thirteen games in a row, even gave Howard their first loss at Howard. They started to feel good about themselves and having a good time and I guess some haters see that as cocky. I could put the whole first half of the game on here and totally make you look foolish trying to say it had gone on all game. That was his first foul and he didint have any reaction got a foul 5 seconds later and made a motion which is right there for all to see. If a player was ejected for what he did every time there would be no basketball. Anyway I have gotten the hint that no one really cares anymore and I cant blame them. The video didnt work and now it is so I started a new thread on it because some wanted to see it still and this was a good resource to use. Yes I am there father I guess you can tell I am not hiding that with my screen name. I know my boys and they did not deserve this. It has made them stronger and really inspired them so in a way it is a blessing in disguise and now they know early that not everyone is treated equal and life is not fair but you just deal with it and move on which is what I am going to try and do. It is hard for me as a parent that watched them their whole lives practice for the one year when they started varsilty together and everything went form a dream season to this. I know my boys and this reputation that you say they have is bold face lie. If you watch the clip you will see his brother tell him before the first foul that the ref was staring at him funny and he replied but I didnt do anything to his brother and got the first tech. Now would be a great time for a warning that if he gets another tech he would be out for Region and a game next year .He would have just stood there emotionless like a zomby but instead he made a gesture with his hand and said what did I do and got ejected. In the refs report he said he didnt know what he said but that he had said something. But of course they deserve that right. Well this is a waste of time, you obviously have a biased opinion as do I. I put this on here to get some unbiased opinions. Im thinking your either a ref, have no kids or no heart.

I dont know any of you but I saw the comments on Tn refs and had to comment. I put a video clip on this site it is the ones you see under multimedia with player #10 when you first log on. Check it out and tell me what you think. This ref has abused his power for years. He has had it out for my son for th last 3 years, #10 and # 12 are brothers and starting guards and were in the District tourn against a team that had only lost twice all year. Once to us at their place when they were undefeated. Well he was suspended for two more games as well as the rest of the game that he had allready hit three 3's in the 1st quarter. He was our leading scorer. I just wanted some parents comments who work hard with their kids their whole lives to have it all taken away. The ref could have warned him. Needless to say we were up by 6 until the ejection and then lost by 6 and finally eliminated in the Region because # 10 was not suited up. Please tell me if I am wrong.

I have posted 2 videos so far of the Howard Hixson game. Only one is working right now. They both used to work. I have actually sent them twice more since then under my own account 1012biggestfan Is there an way to delete the one that is not working and acccept one of the two that I sent. If I could put the whole game on here I would but it wont fit, allready the video of my son getting cheated isnt working, I am trying to fix it. I used my sons friends computer because I didint have an account. Anyway the season is over and my boys learned a valuable lesson, that life is not fair and people with power will abuse it. I am not crying about the game or trying to keep bringing it up but people are getting on my sons blaming them for the outcome of that game. I am asking everyone to please look at this clip ( when I figure out how to getit working) and tell me if you honestly think that a kid deserves back to back techs for the hand gestures he made with his back to the refs who even told the coach he did not know what he said but he said something. What is that? 10 got one foul and did nothing. 10 seconds later gets another foul and then 2 techs with no warning nothing, in a Championship post season game. My three sons have grown up on basketball and all we have ever worked for their entire lives was their varsity year as starting guards together. Then they lose their coach. They started pulling together and beat some good teams. They even went to Howard who is always and is currently one of the best teams in this Region and win. But still no respect. Well the team started having fun and I guess others saw it as being cocky and now everyone is hatin on them and think they deserve their season to end like it did. 10 and 12 have a great chemistry together they have played together their whole lives people even think theyre twins. 12 did not deserve to end his season like that because that one particular ref has disliked my son for the last 3 years. I am done just watch the tape and if you yourself have played any kind of ball, tell me you havnt reacted the same way. I guess passion for the game is a thing of the past. As far as my son talking trash to the players, I cant see it .12 played with some of them last summer with the Warriors. I know they respect each other and wouldnt talk trash.
