  1. hahaha.....very interesting these Mt. Juliet fans...MJGOLDENBEARS - Just for you.  I didnt see you post on the thread last year.

Let's head down "Bad Memory" lane and enjoy a few comments from last years, "Mt. Juliet vs Blackman thread."

    From LAST YEAR:

Blackman wont put up 400 yards rushing.....and MJ will be in the playoffs .... book it.

Curious as to what the talk will be should Mt Juliet win this game.

I see MJ keeping this close and making big play at end to win.

No way MJ loses another one by 30+..

I bet you the Bears fight hard and put out a better showing then what people think.

    its 42-0 in the third.....Blackman....

Ok the third string should be by now! 42-0

    42-14 Blackman final

Wow not what I expected out of MJ at all. I cant even begin to express my disappointment.

While i don't think it will be that bad this year, I'll spare myself the effort of doing a very thorough investigation into the two teams, and putting together a very detailed, great prediction with opinion to back it up. I'll say this, Blackman will pull the ones at some point.

  2. .........., All I'm saying is I really hope my team puts up a heck of a fight to hault the cocky Blackman fans......

Wouldn't expect too many humble Blackman fans anyways, as if you all have a chance against Maryville or even making it out of the semi's, you may win this game but don't worry there will be no champ ring for your team.

Thanks for the clarification.  I too, predicted my team to beat yours.  We'll see what happens... :popcorneater:

  3. Nonetheless I'm not going to argue with a teenager on a forum.

This coming from the guy who on the Blackman / Mt Juliet thread insulting our fans:

"let's not act ignorant as if Blackman is just playing an average team. Wouldn't expect too many humble Blackman fans anyways, as if you all have a chance against Maryville or even making it out of the semi's"

Then I browse here and see you pulling the old "you can't spell" attack on another poster while you do it yourself in the very next post.

And finally you try to cover your arrogance by trying to talk like Stars (who you can't hold a candle to btw) while calling me "dude".

I'm not the one who should be worried about being perceived as immature.

  4. It is spelled definitely....but would not expect much of you anyways....

Well time to get ignorant for a minute then ill be back to normal....... Well to Station Camp fans hope this clears the picture for you.... lucky for it even to have looked like a ball game, becuase you played down from the beginning, too much smack talk got you nowhere. While MJ kept there modesty. Chickhot your an idiot.... and this game proves that. We won fair and square, we have had your number ever since the series started, so suck it up and accept defeat because it sure as heck wont be the last! Ok im done.

    SPELLING POLICE HERE:

    1) becuase  - - Should be because - probably just a typo.

    2) there - - - - - Should be their - probably should get a spelling book before calling out others.

    :roflol:

  5. Yea, Josh was steam rolling to an undefeated senior year where no one his weight our above would likely beat him in state until a 3 lb minpin or something came out of no where to derail his finish. Sad day, almost as sad as a knee injury vs Tyler Sells last season and a canker sore vs undefeated Tyler Garrison... At least Garrison has another shot at a perfect season. Sells' younger brother Matt even more. There's been some painful moments over the years... It's called the Blackman Blues

No doubt Sommers that Tyler would love another shot at senior year.....without a torn ACL.....

  7. Most wrestlers will wrestle through injuries.  That is why you didn't see them walking around on crutches. Toughest SOB's you will ever run into.

:thumb: AGREED!!  I'll throw it out there.  My oldest son was a senior last year and after playing against Maryville in the semis, he went straight into wrestling again.  He tore his ACL completely and MCL 75% during his second week of wrestling practice (Early December).

After the initial heartbreak, he decided that he would not be denied an opportunity for a state medal.  Most doctors wont repair a torn ACL until the MCL heals so after seven weeks of healing and rehab on the MCL his doctor allowed him to get fitted for an ACL brace and take a run at state.  He went into the practice room only two and a half weeks before the state tournament and only four days before the region tournament.  With no ACL and almost no conditioning for two months, this kid battled and spilled his guts and took fourth in the state at 160 pounds.  If you know wrestling, you know that they just don't give away state medals.

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me how tough my son was or how amazing it was to see him back, or how amazing it was that he was even able to compete, it would be significant.

All football players should wrestle. It's a no brainer.

  8. ....... And being a multiple sport athlete I can tell you that nothing I have played comes close to football.

Sorry Gov but this is not simply a matter of opinion. Wrestling is by far the tougher sport. I have boys who do both competitively and I can guarantee you this. Ask any young man who has done both. And I don't mean kids who wrestled once. Ask kids who medaled at state and it will be unanimous. The practices are way more grueling. The discipline required to maintain weight and hydration. My oldest son would lose anywhere between 5 and 9 pounds EVERY practice and He was a starter last year at Blackman at football as well. My middle son is nearly the same. It's just no comparison for those who are serious about wrestling.
