Everyone in that little county knows Coalfield has cheated and will continue to do so, until something is done. Maybe nothing will ever be done and coalfield will keep doing what they have been doing for years, Or maybe they get caught and have to forfeit playoffs and get fined then lets see how proud you are to stand up for cheating.

Wartburg has had some top performers in region 2a and I didn??™t say Morgan County Sheriffs or Morgan County news was paying anyone anything I said they were connected. ???Certain??? individuals that are employed with the department and the news. Not to mention Wartburg is going through another coaching change. But ill still say Wartburg wins a close one.

I couldn??™t agree more with Mr. Gibson and Carter. Gibson im pretty sure I know who you are and if im correct your grandfather was a great man and a superior Educator/Coach/Friend, I played under him at Clinton and will never forget what he taught me about life and football. On the subject about Morgan County integrating I love this idea! MC would still only be a small 3a school competing against the likes of, Scott County, Kingston and so on. The people of Morgan County, I would push this VERY hard! It will help the kids out tremendously! There is ways to fix the bus problem, if they would be willing to do it. There??™s always a way, and for this I sure would be trying very hard to find a solution.

There is a lot of talent that comes out of Morgan County, Wartburg beat that snot out of Alcoa in 2002 when they were loaded with the likes of John T Armes ???Carson Newman??? Derrick Sills ???Tennessee Radiers-Semi Pro Team??? Ryan Hamm ???UTC??? Michael Wilkie ???Minnesota Milwaukee??? Andrew Kittreal ???Union??? Chad Sills ???Maryville??? And had the likes of Top state prospects with Kyle Laymance, Jake Hawn, & Jamie Gibson /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> . Don??™t get me wrong Morgan County hasn??™t produced a good number of prospect like they had in 2003 & 2006 but they??™re still good talent there. And I do agree MORGAN COUNTY needs to combine high schools and make a Morgan County High, they would still only be around a large 3-A school! And they could compete a lot better! I agree completely, The Henes kid could be a local D-2 school prospect but I mostly see him at a D-3 or NAIA school playing some linebacker but not sure on the others?

I think Morgan County Teams will struggle again this year; I just don??™t see many College type prospects coming out of Morgan County this year except for Wartburg??™s Pool, Sunbrights Henes, Oakdales Perkins /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> . Coalfield doesn??™t look to be a strong region contender in 2008 to me. I??™m going to go out on a limb and say Coalfield 2008 at the best, 5-5. Sunbright seems to have a BIG problem in the coaching office, not very good communication from the coaches to the kids and lack of respect from the kids to the coaches /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" . Oakdale will be better this year, I like what there coach is doing up there, just need more kids out. Wartburg is going through another coaching change from the hot shot Bangley to simple Shoemaker, I like Coach Dan and think he can turn things around, they need more kids out and some more help then they should be coming back to form like early and mid 2000??™s but even with that im going to say Wartburg 2008, 2-8 I would like to see Morgan County Teams get back to the way they were in 2002-2006. I think they need to have many scrimmages this spring and fall, I think they need to have that passing league like they did a few years ago gets the fans and scouts familiar with the players and coaches /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> .
