  1. Dishman threw very good for Harriman. He shut down Wartburg. Wartburg made about 5 or 6 errors, and gave up about 8 unearned runs. After watching the game tonight Harriman is the front runner by far. They played good in the field, and put the bat on the ball and they looked alot further along than Wartburg did tonight.
  2. I agree with you on Alley. The kid was a stud. But he didn't pitch. But he was a very good player. The other Key boy was ok, not that great. And Your right Philip is lucky to hit 80. But Johnston does not throw 85. If he threw 85 he would not have left Oak Ridge. But Daugherty doesn't throw 85 either. I'm gonna try to dig up some stats, and I'll give them to you whenever I'm able to find them.
  3. Just Throw this one out there neither Key or Johnston are from Coalfield or Morgan County. And If they are throwing in the 80's they must have hit the weights hard, because they did not throw 80 last year.
  4. I'm loving this. I would assume no feelings are hurt in Wartburg. Olboy, you talk about how someone else is bad mouthing a team, when you are taking direct shots at an individual? Philip may not be the best player in the region or the district but taking shots at him is unnessecary. And last time I checked Coalfield doens't have anyone that throws in the 80's. And to underdawg, if you've been around baseball twenty years you could honestly say Daugherty is one of the best to come through Morgan County. Maybe not a Conlon or Howard, but he is definetly a stud of his time. And Last time I Watched Wartburg play which was tuesday, and monday Daugherty didn't play first base. He very rarely ever plays first base. And when it's the bottom of the seventh I want Daugherty. Just like the district tournament last year. Big players deliver in Big Situations, and I hope people continue to bash the kid on here. Your just throwing gas on the fire. And I'm sure the Wartburg fans would like nothing else than every kid on there team to play with a chip on their shoulder, especially Daugherty.
  5. Where was the Daugharty kid #8 from Wartburg? Is he sick or still hurt? What's the deal?
  6. Great Job last night boys. I saw that fire I was anticpating and was told I would see this year. The atmosphere was amazing last night for the boys, tons of people. I was really impressed with the upper-classmen leadership last night. Congrats Guys, but don't be satisfied with one win. Play every week with the fire you played with last night, and you'll be able to feel the way you felt last night again before the year is over.
  7. Trout is hurt. That's all I know. The Daugherty kid has been taking most the varsity snaps, but as far as I know the kid has never played there. I have no clue when Trout is suppose to return, but hopefully it's soon. Good Luck Tommorrow night boys, play hard.
  8. I'm obviously a Wartburg support. So, I'm going to take my Bulldogs in a really close, hard hitting, exciting game. Best of Luck Boys.
  9. Glad to hear the offense looked better. But I found it a little weird the offense looked better and the Defense looked bad? It's usually the other way around. But Best of Luck boys Play Hard.
  10. Didnt get to make the trip to Cumberland Gap, but was told the Varisty dropped it 24-14? Any info on that? But anyways...... all the Games that dont count are over, this week it's the real deal. Who do you have the Highlanders or the Bulldogs?
  11. Wartburg won 1-0. The Defense gave up maybe 50 total yards. The Offense looked pretty good, but didnt throw it much. I thought they were moving to the spread? They lined up in a spread formation but didnt throw it? But anyways, Wartburg threatened several times but always seemed to run out of plays. The two sunbright scores were both on a series where both teams started from the ten with no referees. In my opinion when the referees leave the game is over. I was surprised by some of Wartburg's personal choices. But overall was pretty content with what I saw.
  12. Wartburg is set to scrimmage Sunbright tommorrow. How will it turn out? I'm sure this scrimmage will show both teams where they stand right now. And hopefully they both are sitting in pretty good shape. I can't wait to watch it.
  13. Ask_me I haven't heard anything about a new lineman, but I will ask next time I see one of my bulldogs. Gibson You are completely right. Nothing but class from Coach Shoemaker. I was hoping he would take the job last year, and was disappointed when he didn't. Now he has his chance as the Head Coach, I think the players will respond well and have a good year.
  14. Getitandgo... I'm glad coach Shoemaker is excited too. I guess We will know who is going to do what next week. I think that's when they are startin pads? not sure though. I hope the boys get alot done at the camp, because I know alot of people are like me and would love to see the boys turn it around. and I think the mindset is that they want to change it. Best of luck boys.
  15. The season is creeping closer and I've talked to a couple Bulldogs. They sound really excited and eager to get on the field. They said they were not sure about who is going to be playing where. Anyone watched them? If they carry their excitment into the season I look for big things from the bulldogs.
