I disagree with you comment about Higgins being more of an athlete than basketball player. I contend he is at a high level as athlete and basketball player. Tennessee, Auburn and Louisville felt strongly enough of his basketball powers to offer him full rides to play b-ball. There were other D-I offers but Tee is going the football route at Clemson. Do me a favor, watch Tee on Friday and tell me if your opinion of him has changed a bit. Notice how few points the man he is guarding gets. Notice is ability to rebound against the much taller East players. Tee is a very sound fundamental basketball player. Oh, ask any OR fan and they will tell you I have a man crush on Tee. Just kidding.

The better team is probably East but the team that avoids TOs and poor shooting could win. I know everybody was impressed with Tee Higgins but the other players have had super games all season long. No predictions, just gonna cheer my Cats on while watching the NFHS web site.

Watched 2 EH players on the news tonight and they said if they can get by East they will win State. I just wasn't sure I believed them, though.

The fans who watch Oak Ridge play this week are in for a treat. Tee Higgins will shut down the opponents best play. EJ will clean up the boards. Booker will come in on fire. Levert will awe you with his passes. Just too leave you a surprise, there are two other players on the level of Tee. We will run and we will press. We will dunk and we will defend. Our coach will coach and put us in the right places to win. Our cheerleaders will tumble and Brentwood will fumble. These Cats are real, real deadly. These Cats are cool, ice cold dead on push forward run have fun. The sun will come out tomorrow. Amen.

Add Oak Ridge to the everybody is coming back list except for one. Hopefully, the Lady Wildcats will be deeper next year in order to play with Memphis Central and Riverdale.

BUMP... it would be nice for the Lady Cats to get some love after the loss.

I don't know about Dickson having a chance in this game. Against Oak Ridge, Central was EVERY WHERE. They knew where the passing lanes where and broke on the ball before the OR players tried to pass it. Even in the first quarter, when Oak Ridge was hanging tough with them it was clear they had us beat athletically. With that said, I do believe OR can beat them the next time they play. Keys for Dickson....take care of the ball, stop their girl named Stewart, hit your shots, watch Central's penetration and DO NOT run with them. Good luck but I will be pulling for Central.

Final Memphis Central 74 Oak Ridge 63 Great game Central and good luck the rest of the way. So very proud of the Lady Wildcats' come back from 20 points down. Bates had a wonderful game, over 20 points I believe. Ellison got her shots to drop finally. Kassner was hot early. Dowdell played heroically. Guinn was pressured all game long and did a good job. The whole team tried their best but turnovers killed us, OR only losses one player who played a lot so look for the Lady Wildcats to be back and more mature. Love those Cats...next up the boys vs Brentwood.

Half 41 - 29 Memphis Central OR is turnover city. Central is very athletic, quick and this girl Stewart has around 22 points so far. I doubt OR can come back and just hope they don't get blown out. The Lady Wildcats deserve more than that. Dowdell has 3 fouls and was hurt in the second quarter ( nose?). Roll Lady Wildcats Roll! You can come back no matter what I think.

This post went unchallenged for 11 hours. Nobody wants to disagree even the slightest bit? I would just mention that the 2016 State Runner Ups are back with all but one player. I agree the odds on favorite is Riverdale but that does not mean they have already won the Championship. I don't know very much about SC except they held Bradley to 17% shooting according to the ESPN talk radio guys in Chattanooga. It is late and can't sleep waiting to watch the OR vs Memphis Central game on NFHS.

Personally, I don't want to hear any more Oak Ridge vs Memphis East, but that is just me. Oak Ridge has only one opponent to get ready for and that is Brentwood. What do people in Middle Tennessee think of the Bruins? Are they big, fast, nice smelling? LOL Do they handle the press well? Do they like an up tempo style of play? Is it rue that when the bears attack you should lay down and play dead? When Oak Ridge goes vanilla will they go strawberry? That is enough foolishness...for now.

According to a tweet the doors open at 6pm following the opening act Jefferson Airplane. Just a joke but the doors are supposed to open at 6pm but get there before that time.

What! We still have to beat David Crockett next Monday before we even get to state. It is nice to see confidence in OR but this was not posted by an Oak Ridge fan. Right now (IMO) East boys and Riverdale girls are the favorites.
