Once again, it all depends of where teams are placed as to whether they can meet in the State finals. Also, no team has actually earned their way to the Boro yet. I will never forget right after Bradley beat Oak Ridge in the finals of the Greeneville tournament, the head of the TSSAA handing out the 2017 Class AAA State Championship Gold Ball to the Bradley coach. What, that did not happen? State Championships are won at the State tournament and not a tournament in December? Are you sure? I better let Bearettesalltheway know this. Riverdale is the team to beat. The rest of us are chasing them.

BUMP ... with so many of you going to all the recent tournament basketball games, you must have heard something about how the football team is doing. If you have information that you can post please do, I am dying down here in Chattanooga for info.

I know what you mean about us missing EJ so much. Pray for a miracle, though. I don't know what people think of me as an OR fan. Am I one of those who blindly follow the Cats and don't speak out when something is obviously wrong or am I a straight shooter. That said, I am feeling really good about the team. They seem to be getting better as individual players and as a team with each game played. I think Memphis East won't be ready for an East Tennessee team to look them dead in the eyes and not blink. Do we beat East? I have no idea we even get that far. Can we beat East? heck yes!

I am probably wrong and should just let Sweet take this question but I think Oak Ridge was not the Oak Ridge team you saw play Powell. What I mean is EJ Bush had just gotten hurt and the team was learning how to play without him. Plus, Tee Higgins was in Florida playing in the Under Armor All American football game.

When Maryville and Oak Ridge get together predict the unpredictable. Until last year I hated Maryville because of something that happened at a region final game played at Heritage in the 1990's. Maryville upset the OR boys and their celebration spilled out into the parking lot where a Maryville fan got in my Dad's face and shouted F Oak Ridge. I pinned the guy on the hood of our car and was about to punch when my Dad grabbed my arm and said to let him go. I let him go but not the anger I had for Rebel fans. I buried my hate after reading the kind posts that RebelWoman has put on the board about Oak Ridge. Why did I just write this? I am not really sure but I think it is because I like to read my own words. LOL I predict Oak Ridge keeps it vanilla....oh wait, that is what I say during football season. Actually, Hardin Valley beat Bearden in the regular season. The Lady Dogs did end their season with three straight losses but did make a valiant effort to almost comeback and beat Oak Ridge.

I just have to laugh....you come on the Lady Wildcat's tread and remind us Bradley Central blew out Oak Ridge in a Christmas tournament. Not very nice of you LOL

From Warrior Fan.... East TN does not have a history of being able to finish for a AAA state championship in years. They have won 6 state titles in AAA in 41 years of all schools combined. The last title east TN won in AAA was 15 years ago with Sevier Co. East TN teams normally come in with impressive records, but don't win the big game. District 7-AAA by itself has 7 of the past 10 AAA titles. Middle TN in all has won 30 AAA state titles in the last 41 years, and West TN has 5. -___________________________________________ Just some FYI, not meant to e part of the current discussion of Riverdale vs Bradley. Oak Ridge, the birth place of five on five girls basketball in Tennessee, has had a solid tradition in basketball since the 1980's with a brief down turn after Coach Jull Prudden retired. The program has won 3 State Championships and 7 State Runner-up finishes. In Class AAA, in my opinion, only Shelbyville rates better. The Lady Wildcats are also well represented in Class AAA Miss Basketball winners. More FYI, if Oak Ridge wins the District 3-AAA Tournament tonight they will face Knoxville Bearden, a very tough team on a slight down turn but very capable of beating the Wildcats this Friday.
