1. Erica Tuck from William Blount in Maryville (TN Tech signee) and Logan Frazier from Heritage in Maryville are both very good as is Taylor Greene from Alcoa.

I think you would have to put Allison Barbee from Maryville High School on this list, not sure why you would leave her off... you named every pitcher from the Maryville area...and Morgan Meadows from Alcoa is also a very good pitcher....

  2. 18s-Chattanooga Force and a group of Eagles, not sure from where, were unbeaten going into Sunday and were to play right away. Force had to score 2 in the last inning to beat the Crusaders in a really good game. The Cruisers also played some good ball Saturday. I was glad to see Sunni and Skye Jackson playing well for them as they previously attended school here before heading to Lavergne a few seasons back. They beat the team with Soddy-Daisy's Buckner, former GPS pitcher Megan Wagner, other good players, 3-1, I can't remember their team name

The group of Eagles is from the Knoxville area.

    1st Chatt Force

    2nd Knox Lady Eagles

    3rd Elite Diamonds

  3. The Knoxville Thunder 18 under teams did noy play either White Lighting or Maryville Majic teams this Summer.Doug Jones coached the 18 under and all but one of his kids signed. Some to UTC and ETSU just to name a few. Thunder Sams 16 under team played both Lighting and Maryville Majic 18under teams.Thunder 16 won both of though games from what I understand. Thunder-Sams 17Gold played 18 Fury Gold at UT Stadium and played to a 0-0 tie after 7 innings.

The Knoxville Lady Eagles 18A has played all the teams listed above except Jones Thunder.. I think The Fury is the best team.IMO. The Fury beat us last fall 3-2..(Waters Pitchedfor Fury & Kara pitched for Eagles) Eagles have beat the Magic,White lighting & Sams Thunder we have only played each team one time.....Dont say alot account teams change from year to year....and all the teams above on any givin day could beat one another....Its not about the name of a team IMO its about the girls getting seen and having a chance to play in College....Also and alot of people on here is going to disagree with me now but their is not a true GOLD team in East Tennessee..egos are to big to put together a gold team.....With that said Kara could be one of the best pitchers to play in the State if she keeps improving She very good now as a upcoming SO.

  4. congrats to the tornados,I know soccer won as well, did softball make it a sweep on senior night for all three?I meant baseball, not softball.

Senior night for Softball is tomorrow night at 5:00 pm. But baseball lost to Webb on Sr. night.

  5. I apologize for my ignorance in not knowing Kim. I was impressed by the Knoxville Lady Eagles pitcher that threw against us in the 1st game of the tournament. Threw it by a few of our kids.

Dont know who threw first game for L. Eagles or who they played in first game (TN Fury?)but pitchers from the fall were:

    Freshman- Kara Woods- Unicoi County

    Sophmore- Rachel Cogdill- Knox Central

    Junior- Miranda Rayburn-Heritage

Junior-Kim Hall-Oliver Springs--Kim is now palying for the White Lighting

  6. Big fish, small pond.

Bring them down and let her face Ooltewah, GPS or Soddy Daisy.

Oh, and the girl hitting .727, NO WAY!

I agree she is playing in a weak district, but she is going to be a very strong pitcher. She cant help that she lives in the Coalfield area She is only 8th grader and she is throwing upper 50's now.

  7. QUOTE(JC#1fan @ Jun 6 2007 - 11:59 AM) 826472068"Do you think any batter in the country (beside Katie Jett,4 for 4 with 2 homeruns in the same game off of Abbott earlier in the season, 'she didn't know any better") is not intimidated by that.

    Jc#1fan

Katy was not 4-4 she was 2-3 but could you explain what you meant by "she didn't know any better".

  8. QUOTE(IamKing @ Mar 30 2007 - 02:42 PM) 826426648Only one of these pitchers is of competitive caliber, freshman Tori Hill. She is currently suspended for disciplinary reasons.

Who does she play for in the summer?

  9. THE IMAC IS LOADED THIS YEAR WITH PITCHERS ALL BUT NEWPORT I THINK......

    JEFFERSON

    MINDY HELTON

    ASHELY EARLS

    ALI MILLER

    TORI HILL

    quote]

Jeff Co. has a very good pitcher that is not listed "Jennifer Turley" she hasnt pitched in a few years account of Katy Jett being their, but the coach either doesn't know she pitches or she just don't pitch her.

  10. QUOTE(mowesttrojan @ Feb 28 2007 - 06:43 PM) 826393740My prediction for the IMAC is: MoWest

    MoEast

    Cherokee

    Cocke

    Greeneville

    Jefferson

I know Jeff County is young this year, but seen them play in Heritage playday and they looked OK. They will suprise some people this year. Don't believe they will finish last in IMAC. Turley hit the ball well, pitchers did OK to be Freshman. By tournament time I would look out for them. They could be spoilers in the IMAC.
