  1. Extremely. I hope they continue to elevate their level of play and add to the level of competitiveness in Div. I TN lacrosse. I realize their coach may leave in a couple of years, which I hope will not be used as an excuse to remain in the developmental league based on rebuilding. I hope the level of support from the parents remains strong from middle school forward as that will be the key in Brentwood's success coupled with finding another quality coach.

Wait so Brentwood is moving up to D1?

  2. I agree that the majority of the game was absolutely dominated by Franklin but I disagree that Franklin is the better team. With all of the things that CBHS has had to deal with injury wise, there is no way that you could say that Franklin is the better team. Play that game at the beginning of the year and CBHS wins by almost 10. Yes, Franklin played better the majority of that game but the collapsed at the end and CBHS found a way to battle back from a 7 goal deficit in the 4th. Also, the penalty that actually did occur with 3 seconds left was actually a penalty as the Franklin played cross-checked #30 from CBHS into the ground. Yes, the penalty actually did occur and it was with 3 seconds left. The shot in overtime was not trash in any way as the CBHS player was standing 12 yards from the cage for a time and room shot and he buried in the back of the net with poise. This is a team who recently lost their best offensive player and who played without 2 of their starting long poles. Nolan Vihlen absolutely killed Franklin at the face off position as he lost only one and that was an illegal procedure. Say all you want but I do think that CBHS is by far the better team. I will say one thing about Franklin and that is that John Ellis played an outstanding game and was the major reason that Franklin was able to pull away the way they did throughout and 1st through 3rd quarters. The guy needs more back up as it is simply too hard to play a game by yourself and he ran out of gas in the 4th quarter which proved to be the downfall for Franklin. Good game to the entire Franklin team but I still stand by my remark that CBHS is the better team, hands down.

I do agree that injuries can hurt a team, but i was stating that Franklin was the better team in this game. Maybe not at the begining of the year, but they did that game. Franklin did get destroyed on Face-offs but you have to understand that it was a junior and a sophmore facing off for franklin. This Nolan guy has a scholarship, of course he will destroy them. I think for you to say that CBHS would have won by 10 at the beginning of the year is a little dramatic. You are under estimating Franklin alot. I believe another game at the beginning of the year would go to CBHS, but by 3 at the most. Franklin didn't play top notch that game either. I just believe that the referee helped CBHS with the clock. The game film shows the whistle being blown at 2 seconds. Also when i said "trash goal" i meant it by he was wide open after a shot bounced off the goal and some one tossed him the ball. Franklin had a good team effort that game, John ellis did play a good game but Franklin's #21 played better if you didn't notice. I would like to see CBHS and Franklin play again with everyone at full health. That would be a good game.

  3. I don't know where you Franklin players get off thinking you are all high and mighty just because you're in D1 now. I give you a lot of credit y'all are a good team, but the score of the game last night didn't reflect our ability. We were coming on strong in the beginning of the 4th quarter and if we didn't have a complete defensive breakdown, the score would've been quite different. I don't play defense, but I would say that last night was the worst our defense has played this year.

I can tell you that franklin thinking they are "high and mighty" just because they are D1 is not true. Franklin didn't even make the play offs so thats the last thing they think. They competed very well in D1 for their 1st year. They only had like 5 seniors, 3 juniors and most of their starters are freshman. To me, franklin will have much potential in the next couple of years. And i wouldn't be insulting a team for moving up a division for a challenge instead of moving down to a easier division.

  4. ok "live4lax"..you obviously have a mental illness. ryan was down by one in the third quarter.."didnt stand a chance from the beginning"? . and if i remember correctly yall lost to ravenwood who we just beat by 3..if we were still in D1 we would have just as much of a shot as yall do..which isnt a very big one at all..so just think next time before you post this nonsense

Obviously you have a mental illness because you CANT remember correctly. Franklin beat Ravenwood 10-9. So good call on that. I wasn't insulting Ryan. i actually would perfer yall to win state. But i was just stating some facts. It was franklin's last game vs a D2 team in terrible weather. Honestly they didnt care about the game. I don't care if yall were down one goal in the 3rd, watching from the crowd you can tell franklin didn't care. They pulled starters in and out the whole game, and they put all of their starters in during the 4th and i believe thats when they scored like 10 plus goals? yes. I was never insulting Ryan, they are good team

  5. Franklin lost to CBHS 10-9 in overtime i think. I watched the game and franklin obviously was the better team. They were running CBHS the whole game and then franklin slipped during the 4th and just played bad lacrosse. With the help of a referee the game went to overtime. The ref called a penalty with 2 seconds left and the ref said there was really 5 seconds left. CBHS took that 5 seconds for the gaming tying goal. Then took the game with a trash goal in overtime. Props to CBHS though, they are very good team. I believe franklin would have done better in the play offs.

  6. I figured it would have been a little closer than that, anyone see it? Did Ryan have all their players healthy?

ok LXFAN you obviously know nothing about lacrosse. Franklin moved up to D1 for a reason. Father ryan didn't stand a chance from the begining. Ryan is a good team, but not good enough to hang with D1. Ryan had all of their top players, but franklin's defense easily shut down their only play.
