Dare,I ask? qb situation? are the owls gonna run,run,run or mix it up?

don't know how the new coach is gonna do,but some big ole kids showed up @ the red-gray game.i mean some friggin huge kids!!! the talent is there.2 or 3 kids surprised me.some kids are going to have to play both ways,i'm guessing? hope they do well,finally got some good strong leadership up there.what kind of offense were they running?

Boy,thats original......since you weren't there,knee tap,let me suggest something?Let's me and you meet at the Atlanta-federal pen,take a tour through the showers and I will leave you with some friends of mine and you can act out some shower scenes from popular movies such as"american history-X",hbo's"OZ"..OR THE INTERNET FAVORITE "POOR WHITE BOY!!!!" Where to start? Owls will be with out 3 starters going into thursday night action. 2 injuries last night,one a week ago.dislocated elbow,ankle injury,recurring hip and shoulder injuries from auto accident.Oh here's some advice..do not go to Georgia looking for a enjoyable wrestling experience. Went to Sonorville ran into Gilmer co.,.Rome and of course Sonoraville.first:Gilmer:well we lost Manning,Toon,Doss,Siller won.Gilmer as a good team.2nd:Rome,beat em....3rd:Sonorville....good wrestling team,except thier 145 which is as big as a Punk you will find anywhere.slapping,pushing after the whistle,then blows a kiss at owls wrestler,ref grabs him,then his mother stands up yellin,fist-pumpin!!! before that someone sends a policeman over to tell 2 of our parents they can't stand and cheer from the bottom row!!! not including the REFs:one word..HORRIBLE!!!! One ref calls pins faster than a fat kid on a donut,the other ref WAITS FOREVER!!!!,I mean forever!!!! niether knows the basic rules(Oh and dont think I'm saying this because,we lost some matches,they did it to everybody down there)owl wrestlers lost because the other kids were better. Summary:No clock(kids with watches),thermostat set on heck,REFS,who I believe to be legally retarded!!,a barney phife wanna be,1 black eye,1 ankle injury,1 dislocated elbow,........and whoever else wants to add be free to do so.

OWLS will roll!! sorry rhea fans,this year is all Ooltewah around here.Owls are loaded.,.you know it,I know,so let's dont beat around the bush:When ooltewah was a doormat,nobody had a problem beating their heads in 40-50 to nothing every year.......................so get over it,people.With that out of the way,I hope,I don't have to say this again,BUT when are the "Powers at BE" gonna use ALL weapons on offense?......all the athletes at recvr,qb and RB(I know owls racked up yds last week),but ooltewah doesn't have a big,earth-moving O-line,so surely the passing game will get some work,this week?as long as the rain stays away.My understanding is owl QB as foot injury(shot-gun,no running)stand and throw it somewhere quick.If that doesn't do to well,then keep on running.I think the offense is still trying to find itself after 6 games."STRICTLY MY OPINION"..but,I hope I'm wrong. Prediction:Owls-whatever they want..Rhea Co.-what ever ooltewah wants!!

Right now,i'll take my eariler prediction of 35-0,until the offense as a whole puts together some nice long drives on a regular basis or puts it in the endzone with a short field with some authority!!!!

Ooltewah-Walker Valley.....first time playing each other in a real game.Walker valley shouldnt score.(on offense) Owls normally could name the score,but this year is different. prediction:Owls win big 35-0

Instead of bashing 2 of the biggest failures...whewww.How about the O-line,the d-line ,Flanders,Delaney,Reed,Manning for the points!!!How can a team's offense play so bad and WIN at this level? To the person(s) that said SMITH#36 doesn't care,doesn't have it anymore,just wants to move on to TENNESSE..kiss his arse!! While teams are double teaming him,JORDAN PATTY has been the rock on a mountain of a defense.....Gerald Putnam,Bruelle and especially Andrew Mayfield#11 have been going off this year.,.not to forget Jones,Jackson,the always dependable Tracy Hunter(seems,he's been there forever),Flanders has been coming on as of late.Offense better get it together in the next 5 weeks.Just when you think the offense will get it going,guess what ?the same old characters turn it over.Ooltewah's offense better get a fire under it or 10-0 won't matter in the playoffs,when the same old song and dance puts an end to a dream season for the owls. Owl fans love football,but when you repeatedly see the same old thing it gets old QUICK!!! good luck to the owls...please god get to state.

The owls qb will run...15-20 times,pass attempt about the same.Will have 100yds rushing and 300 yds passing,Greene will have 150 yds rushing,if he shows up for the game.owls defense will give up some plays early,but will shut down maplewood. prediction:owls 28-6 all Reed!!!

O.k......1st:running behind some kid that weighs 460lbs?.and the other kid 300 something? if thats all maplewood has,this game will be worse than hunters lane beating them 21-0!!! the one kid,thats a prospect(he's pretty good),the other kid"come on now"how effective can,he be REALLY?seems there should a health issue there.2nd:on another thread phish or hairy wrote about first-half stand-outs.,.said one kid lit a fire on defense?better put him or somebody on offense to get em going,because,if maplewood stops the rb and ooltewah cant throw,this game might be close.BUT!!!,if ooltewah can pass at all,owls win by 21 or more.

I dont have a "boy" playing,I watch the owls when,I get a chance,but keep up with them through friends and family....so dont think I'm upset over my little johnny not playing.The heart n soul of this years team is the DEFENSE!!

Ive been quiet on this, but feel it's time to say something. Brady Reed has played well this season, as I have said on other threads, his decision making has been very good this season (no turnovers is testament to that). He has been going through his progressions and has made smart decisions with the ball (hit 7 different receivers on Friday night alone). He has run the ball when he has had to and at the right times (leading rusher for the Owls against the Rebels). Am I ready to say that Brady Reed has been the best quarterback that Ooltewah has had this decade? No, I'm not, but I am going to say that he has improved and is not costing the Owls games that other Owl QBs can't say they have done.

We have never said that Brady is not to blame for parts of the game, but you NEVER put any of the blame on any body else but Brady. You could not just say "Good Game' you had to point out something negative for the game he played. But you are like talking to a brick wall. No one will ever get any where with you. But thats ok. He helps gets the WINS and that is all that matters. NO one ever said he had the best game out of any QB in the state. But all you guys have said is that our passing game was no good and then he steps up and has a great throwing game and STILL NO COMPLIMENT.

First of all go back and read my last post cry-baby,I said"Brady had a good game" and if you go back and look at some of my earlier posts this year,I did say the O-line wasn't very good"right-now",but with coaching that they will get better...guess what they are getting better. So,you need to quit whining so much and make sure you read these POSTS carefully.Furthermore don't get on here and brag.how "he ran away with it" ..and how "we won't lose anymore games" as long as coach Monroe calls the game the way YOU see fit! It must have killed them to Brady a compliment in the first place. But thats ok he did a GREAT job last night. He finally got a chance to open up the offense and ran away with it. I just hope Benny keeps this up in the next game. We all know Maplewood will know the run so Brady is going to have to step it again. O LINE did a excellent job as well. Blocked really well and gave Brady the time he needed to find his receivers or find the holes to run. Defense great as usual. I think if we keep this up no one will beat us and we go deep into the playoffs.

It doesnt kill me to tell anyone they had a good game..................... Look around anywhere in america on friday night and tell me,what Brady did was any better than your typical highschool QB? Listen "Brady had a good game."With that being said,I'll repeat what I said earlier...let your QB put together several games in a row and I'll be happy for the team.If BRADY REED can't put up good numbers(doesnt have to be great numbers),against the last 5 teams we play,then I rest my case,because all these teams are all below average on a good night. The reason no one will ever be on "the Reed bandwagon"is the way YOU and the 2 other people on your wagon shoulder no blame for any of Brady's miscues and horrible play,but boast and brag and draw attention to yourselves and him,when has a average game.I'm glad for The Ooltewah football team,that Brady might draw attention AWAY FROM the running game,so coach MONROE can work is magic,so to speak.

KUDOs to the OWLS!!! I'm thinking the rebs thought the owls were gonna run all night no matter what(just like everybody else in the stands),but the when Benny started calling passes,and they connected..BAM!!!!..OWLS started moving the ball pretty good,but kept shooting their selves in the foot with penalties,running backwards,bobbling punts etc...!!! The score should've been worse,but owls played STUPID FOOTBALL AT CRITICAL TIMES,1 example:1st n goal couple of passes 1 run backwards ended in a FG.,.BUT other than that,Owls dominated.DEFENSE is awesome as usual,Offense did very well all around .We say this every week,but MAPLEWOOD in 2 weeks will be the test. great game owls.

I know owl fans are home by now.......so let's hear.They must be as embarassed and ashamed as I am.I want someone with some real info or something to explain to me,Why the heck do,we not play 2 QBs?NOT TO SLAM BRADY!,but just to mix it up or something,maybe spark that hungry,competive "FIRE",All owl fans are used to.Do something..might not work,but until a change is made every ball game will be this way........don't have to pull brady,but use 2 qbs or put in a couple of big defensive guys in on offense to block in key situations.Heck,put in option or veer and run all the running backs and athletes until,we have the tongues hanging out of the other team's defense. I don't know what to do,but we can't wait til playoffs to start thinking about it. Coming into this game, you all stated, Ootlewah rolls by 30 or 40 points... I told you all, don't take AE lightly and AE gave you a scared, they should've won this game.. Costly mistakes caused them this game but OWL fans you better be careful when you're making these predictions.

FIRST of all.....owls offense is horrible,not calling out anyone player or whatever,but that was the worst excuse for a Benny Monroe team,I've ever see or heard of(OFFENSIVELY). banged up,young whatever excuse you want to use,that was as bad as an offense,I seen in a while! OWLS Defense is second to none(thank god!!) Monroe isn't stupid,he'll fix what he can by next week.I think A-E has a great DEFENSE,but when owls suck that bad,anyone could look good.A-E will do very well this year.....owls?
