  1. Watson and Sims are 2 quality starters that return for Siegel. They have a junior by the name of Zach Taylor that has all the makings of being a good 3rd starter. Kids got great controll and solid off spead stuff. Reminds me of Mitchell from Blackman when he was a junior.

  2. Yes thanks for everything Limbaugh. Even though we were eliminated yesterday I enjoyed my final season to the fullest. I appreciated everybody in this district. Good luck to Blackman and L'Town. Hope you win. This is probably my last post ill be moving on to college ball now. Thanks again for everything Limbaugh.

  3. Wow!! what a great tournament its gonna be!!. What if there is no out right winner i can't wait to see how it plays out this weekend. I think this tournament is going to great if there is no out right winner. Then its just a 8 team tournament and LET THE BEST 2 TEAMS WIN!!. This district is really strong this year i think there could very well be 2 teams playing in the SPRING FLING.

  4. I am looking forward to seeing how the Blue Devils stack up. This appears to be the time to get the Stars as their pitching has been somewhat disappointing to this point. While Watson has pitched well he has not been as dominant as he was last year and the number 2 spot has struggled.

If the stars swing the bats they'll win. The defense and pitching has been fine. The bats are where they need to come around.

  5. well lebanon did look ready to go last night, and i'd expect the same from them tonight considering it is their first home game. if they keep hittin it the way they have then look out. 39 runs in 3 games and only allowing 10!

nothing against L'town but really they haven't played a good team... I mean gallatina, Warren county and Tullahoma are all mediocre. We'll really see how good Lebanon is when they get into the BORO.

  6. What I saw ,,, I mean no offense;.. Siegel can't hit cruve balls or sliders Ryan didn't pitch around any of those guys and they were hitless thur 5 innings. take away ryan errors that game wasn't close

Guess you didnt see the 11 Siegel put on Ravenwood the game after that???

  7. after one week of play my top 3

    1. goodpasture

    2. ravenwood

    3. lipscomb

    who impressed? goodpasture, ravenwood, overton

who stayed pretty solid? beech, lipscomb

who fell? father ryan, brentwood academy

Siegel beat Ravenwood handly yesterday but lost to father ryan their pitch fell apart late. the bats were alive all day though. Scored 8 on Father Ryan and 11 on ravenwood.

  8. OK...let's talk. What do you know/think about OHS baseball, one of the elite programs in the state?

Everybody knows oakland will always be above average just because of there coach's. Coach Hawk obviously knows how to win and Coach Holland is a great pitching coach. They'll be solid as usually but maybe not the best.

  9. and i agree with you on lebanon, look for them to surprise a lot of people this year.

Why wasn't lebanon good last year? They had the same player PLUS other really good seniors as in franchier farrell and harrell was a very effective relief man. Why all the sudden so good bombs?

  10. Right now there isn't a whole lot of them boys making the trip to Columbia tomorrow is the latest rumor I've heard out on Thompson Lane. No 1st baseman, CF, RF, catcher, and ACE pitcher for various reasons - some of suspensions are longer than others. Siegel needs to get in the news with their on field playing not their off field antics!

My guess for tomorrows game is:

    c - Kosinski (Prather suspension)

1B - Holman or Pack (Bartlett suspension)

    2B - Dove

    SS - Fullerton (Sloss suspension)

3B - Pearson (Sloss susp. or Robinson susp/injury)

LF - King (by way of Taylor susp and Schaffer injury)

    CF - Moore (Taylor susp)

    RF - Maddox (Schaffer injury)

    P - Sims (Watson susp)

I've heard not all are big problems - Watson was sick and didn't turn in some assignments, others are one game "attitude adjustments" and others are more severe. We will need to get all healthy and on track then worry about permanent starting rolls. After all the injuries and suspensions are through, I'd guess the young guys may sit - Kosinski, Pearson, and Fullerton. It's a shame - they all could log plenty of playing time at other District schools! Good luck tomorrow!

WOW!! Thats really detailed just to be "spectator".

  11. There is not a team in 7AAA that has the hitters 1 through 9 like Farragut. We will see how we stack up to them soon because Riverdale and Blackman get to play them in the Warrior Classic. Siegel gets them later in the season. It will be interesting to see how we all do against them. I will say Riverdale will do the best against them because they get them on a Friday and could possibly use some of their better pitchers and still allow them enough rest before district play the following week.

Siegel plays Farragut on a friday too.

  12. Farragut carries around a can of whoopa$$ and they keep it in the dugout. They usually open it up during their games. Siegel has the ability to hang with Farragut but they have to play the perfect game. No mistakes and a whole pile of hits. Even then Siegel has to hope the Farragut hitters don't find the gaps. It would be nice to throw your top guy but that won't happen in a non-district game so somebody else is going to have to step up. If Siegel can keep it close it's a victory.

Very true ... i do think they can hang with Farragut but they wont get a moral victory out of keeping it close . If they play it close they expect to win. Thats how they are.

  13. cookeville scrimmaged franklin county last night beat up on them pretty bad. heres some details was flapping my jaws to much last night so i am sure i missed some.

pitched a different pitcher every inning, hit the ball well, up the middle we looked better than we have in years except for center field. sophmore catcher looked real good. last years starter may need to look for another spot,

corners third base concerns me, first base jury is still out. outfield too early to tell several different players moved around there. centerfielder played ss ly looks about the same in center.

    is tubbs not playing ss?

  14. Of course they're beatable. The only people we're tryin to get that through to are the Farragut people. It's tough though cause their heads are so thick and act like they are way up high above everyone else. But hey if that's what they need to think to make themselves feel good then they can go right ahead.

Look at there scheldule, who do you think can beat them? I know your probably gonna say Bearden but besides them Who else.

  15. guys lets be nice. the REAL question here is why no one has mentioned MAC THORESON from Farragut. He went undefeated last year and has only gotten better this summer. Siegel fans, you should remember him... he's the guy who completely shut down your whole lineup and also smacked a grand salami. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

yes he hit that ball well. i was there watching it . but Siegel did get there only 3 hits off him. lol still great player.

  16. My hats off to Coach Justin Martin of Springfield High School. He stuck out the cold weather to teach the finer points of the game today against Clarksville Academy. Coach Martin is a fine man and deserves a pat on the back for doing this as Coach Tim Crunk, Jr. was unable to attend. Coach Crunk was enjoying the warmth of the Sommet Center in Nashville for WWE wrestling this evening. Where is the return committment that we teach these fine young men?

WOW thats committed ... Who's crunks favorite wrestler? It'll help for the future!!

  17. First, thanks for the complement. Now, no jelly legs from us or no head games being played. My point was this - don't give any team a reason to be looking to show you up - they just might! Farragut is a good program at this point in time - returning State champs. Don't talk the talk until you prove yourself.

On the topic of farragut ... nobody realizes that Siegel cant start any of their top pitchers cuz they have a district series that next monday. and coach reavis wont pitch anybody on 2 days rest . yes siegel would love to beat farragut but they are gonna have to out score them and that'll be tough. it is also possible that the stars and admirals could meet at the warrior classic. No telling who pitch's in that one.
