How about a Todd Hood created coach in Coach Sutherland from Springfield? Maybe it is time this county gives one of our own a chance to show what he is made of after a short leave to Christian County High School Kentucky and Springfield High Tennessee. 4 teams, 4 playoff appearances, and 1 was a state runner up game. Maybe he would be a good fit. He is from Clarksville, and lives off Purple Heart Highway. So why not see what he has learned?

I do believe Southerland will reach out to 2 of these programs. Kenwood seems to be his first choice, and Montgomery Central being his second. Knowing Chris, you would see how much he has grown up these last 4 years since being at Northeast. Plus I personally believe he would do a decent job at either. Close to his home, and where he was raised. Hope the county gives his a fair shot in the interviews. By being under Coach Patterson, Coach Hood, Coach Myers, and Coach Lovelace he has learned plenty to help build a good foundation at any school. Good Luck Cheeky!

Southerland could bring a wide open offense to Kenwood with a tough defense, but his special teams will make other teams do extra work each week. Seems he always has good special teams during a game.

No matter how annoying this man can be, but does he make this website fun. I know he and I are like two boxers that will never meet (Mayweather vs Pacquiao.), but he really makes this site fun to read and chat. We cannot deny that! You are an utter embarrassment to the rest of your coaching staff and to your team. As a former coach, I am asking you to please never post again. You are apparently not even smart enough to be embarrassed for yourself...so I am embarrassed for you. This is truly very sad. Please just focus on your team and stay off of the message boards.

Actually Red Warrior, I think all posters like and enjoy QBPrez 100%, but the big issue is with a man (YOU) that tries to sound important on a website which truly makes him look pathetic. You were asked to share your identity several times, but you were scared to do so. So instead of me leaving this site, you read your post, take your advice, and stop posting.

RollingRed - different groups playing that 4 - 3 make it difficult to defend the midline, plus coverage plays a huge roll in option defense. I am so surprized the Red Warrior did not mention this in his posts!

Lastly, Red Warrior claims he knows it all, fact: Biggest issue in Montgomery County is not only coaching turnover rate, but student turnover rate due to the army. Plus rezoning every 2 - 3 years does not help, and not having Middle School football is the major issue. Unlike a County School, these Clarksville Schools face many more issues year in and year out than the Paris Community. Some of our students worry from day to day when or if Daddy, Mom, or Both will be coming home alive. You don't know what you think you know, and please stop while you are a head!

I don't want to be too "negative" about guys who are coaching in Clarksville, but let me say this (this will be one of those statements that will anger some, but I just believe to be true). For the most part, really good coaches will not go to Montgomery County because what I said in my prior post. The coaching there is average at best, with an occasional exception. The coaching does not match the talent...and the administrative committment to athletics is even more ridiculous.

Funny that several of those average coaches have moved to other counties and found great success. I can personally count 5-6 that have state championships within 2 years leaving the Montgomery County System. The greatest of them all is Todd Hodd, now at Clarksville Academy, has 3 state championship rings. So this coaching at best learns here dealing with all the political crap, and moves on to win at programs that care. You truly dont know anything.

I'm going to go against my own advice and actually argue with this fool! How does a retired person at the lake Know so much about Clarksville football teams??? You must have a crystal coaching ball that you look into often

As I read these post over and over again and talk to my buddy, we have come to one conclusion about our dear red warrior! We think that the red warrior is a coach on the Patriot staff, and I personally think he just may be the head coach. Funny that he knows so much information, is a great football coach, and knows more than anyone. But wont meet up with Southerland or Me! S C A R E D!!!!!

Hendersonville is a physical team and from what i have heard, other than what BarnBurner09 has already said, NE has some speed on their side which Hendersonville is lacking this year. I think this game will be a lot closer and a harder win for Hendersonville than what most people are saying. Im saying this will be close by a at most a touchdown but most likely 3 points.

Northeast just does not have some speed, but they have at least 5 boys running 4.5 forties, and Reco Williams #34 can run his forty in 4.7. The fastest of all of them is Rutledge which can run a 4.47 forty. Plus they are pretty big too and healthy for the first time in a long time. If Northeast can stop the fumbles, play great special teams, then the Eagles just may win this game. I will say the game will be focused on the QB play of Northeast QB Jalen Reves! The winning team of this game will be 7 or less! Two really good defenses will play friday night!

Instead of spending time on this forum, I would advise you to attack the whining problem that exists on your staff. Your program will amount to NOTHING but an early exit playoff team until you get a handle on it. By the way, I am retired so I had no interest in the HC job.

All of these fools (sorry olddevil) who think that playing a couple of great non district games in August and early September will help you in November know NOTHING about football or coaching. We got beat last night. We got whipped last night a lot of the time. The better and more physical team won. Does that sound like whining? Springfield would do well to read my words and memorize them...if you and the rest of the staff have the capability to memorize (brain activity required). Springfield epitomizes what I don't like in a coaching staff. They pat themselves on the back on message boards and in public...and they whine like newborn babies whenever they lose. It is sickening. One more word of advice...when you make a bold statement and make a date...stick around long enough to make good on it. Stop talking about how you have turned that program around and how great you all are and get to work. Your whining is taking away from a talented bunch of players. Your program will amount to very little unless you change your ways and stop with the excuses and the whining!

There is no point in arguing this. They obviously see only what they want to see. I saw firsthand the things mentioned in my post and stand by them 100%. I also witnessed the rant aby the HCHS fan at the end of the game. I especially enjoyed the part where, when he had no valid argument, began to call the coach a racist. It reminded me a lot of snowplow's response that my statements were "stupid." So when HCHS has no legitimate point, their strategy is to call names. Nice.

Northeast 6 Clarksville 3

Clarksville had the ball on the 1 yard line in the 4th quarter with 3 minutes to go on 4th down and elected to go for it and not kick the ball. The result was a goalline stand by Northeast.

I am really surprised to see these two teams in still in the playoffs. This is the reason the games are played on the field and not on these threads. Wonder what the Henry County fans think about this. Their posts should be interesting.

It's REALLY ironic that it's 2010, far removed from those years.

I will honestly say #28 is one of the best backs I have seen all year. Plus he is only a sophmore is what is scary. Then you have #34 that is a bruiser, and I think he is just a sophmore which is scary. And last you have #7, an athlete that should have been up for Mr. Football in 5A, but due to the new classification he was overlooked. What a joke? The tightend is a stud that has not been used enough with great hands from what I have seen, and he is the head coaches grandson I do believe. Then you have to deal with the line lead by #50 on the left side. The o-line is tough. Defensive you have to get past those three big linemen, and that cover 2. They pack the box, but both safeties do a good job covering ground. I will say this will be the shortest game of the year due to both teams running so much. The team that stays focused through the forth quarter will play next week. Hendersonville will get a dose of read option, traps, counters, QB powers from the pistal, the Pro I, and a Gun I. The commandos need to be sound on defense or you will see that back of #7 alot Friday night, but trust me #28 is the future back in the region. How did I do Henry County Fans?
