Shelese Arnold - University of Illinois - Pitcher

  4. CONGRATULATIONS to Shelese Arnold for signing with the University of Illinois - The Big Ten Conference!

Shelese attends Lexington High School and plays for the Germantown 18U Gold Team. Apparently changing pitching coaches a couple of months ago got you to the next level!!! Great Job Shelese!

  5. collierville is very well coached thank you.... we have gone to some of the biggest tournaments this year and every year since coach bradley has been the coach. and for his ring.... jealousy is a hard issue to deal with... so shut up and leave him alone... he got that for his 500th win.. and im darn sure that none of ya'll are even close... so when you get somewhat close let me know! and i know for a fact... more than anyone that the teams like St. b and others who are good from around here won play us... this whole message board was to say congrats to the girls and coaches not to talk bad about them....

    Clueless!!!

  6. GOODLUCK Collierville this week let's see if you girls are gonna bring the state tittle back to Memphis?

Not likely!!! Beech beat Collierville 12 to 2! HoganKnows needs to change his name and Canesoverhere will probably never be heard from again.

  7. In AAA, Soddy-Daisy over Boone. No Beech-Collierville score is up yet. Ravenwood was eliminated by Brighton.

Unicoi knocks off Meigs in the losers' bracket in AA. Meigs had a good team, a really good season but failed to score in 2 state games.

In A, University School-Johnson City and Unaka are out. I wouldn't be surprised to see Trinity make a run to the finals if not win it, out of the losers bracket. I thought Trinity and Grace were 1-2 entering the tournament but I still would never want to see teams ranked, too many variables (schedule difficulty differences, mainly).

Beech Beat Collierville 12-2. No one is suprised...except maybe Collierville.

  8. Congrats to Coach Bradley and Collierville for making the TSSAA State Softball tourney once again :roflol:

Coach Bradley has a senior filled team this season and will do very well in the state tourney this week.

This is Coach Bradley's last season and I know his girls will want to send him out on top. They always play top competiton in the Franklin/Sonic Tournament each year. :roflol:[/quote

Other than Trinity Christian (which was a loss), I don't think Marion County , Independence, and Coalfield (2A) are top competition. They lost to Columbia Academy.

I think the point being made earlier was that it doesn't matter if it was the year 2000 or 2010, nothing has changed!

  9. There is only like two hotels in Hendersonville and I heard they were full. Most people will stay in Goodlettesville or Gallatin. I would pick Goodlettesville, several hotels, plenty of food, close to a small mall, Dicks Sporting Goods, Sports Academey. I also save money by name your price on Priceline.com

Agree...plenty of good lodging in Goodlettesville, only 15 minutes to Drakes Creek. :roflol:

  10. Ya know Ms Bartlett circa 2004, when you can't punch your own ticket to the Dance, your credibility as to your opinion is low. When you start jawing at a team who is 40-6 you seem to talk the talk but can't walk the walk. Maybe you should consider the other side of the challenge. Did you every think that other teams may not want to play them?????

Should they advance or not, let's give all the teams a little pat on the back for rising above their competition and peaking at the right time of the season.

Don't hurt yourself. Collierville has avoided competition since 1999...the proof is in the pudding...what is their record at state? Thinking somewhere around 2-14. Just a guess... have not seen them win a game at state.

  11. Collierville has not played any good teams all year. Won't be shocked if they loose 2 games in state.

I guess Trinity Christian is no good. Collierville lost 1-0. How many other schools has held them to one run? Only 3 others out of 36 games. Do your research before you post.[/quote

The only good game you can post about is a Loss! We can re-visit this thread next Wednesday night.

  12. Well the season is about half over and we now can see who are contenders and who are just pretenders. Here's my take on the best teams west of the river. (Since MrNoItAll is counting Camden now as a Mid-State team, I will leave them out.)

AAA Brighton is definitely the big school to beat from the west. Although Collierville and its fans might disagree, they are still a step or two behind Brighton. Brighton still will be hard pressed to compete with the likes of Beech, Riverdale, and Soddy at the "Boro" and will probably go two and out at State. Pretender

AA Covington looks to be for real with its only loss coming to Trinity. Don't be surprised if they win it all. Contender

A Trinity Christian may be the best team in the state in any division. I think the only way they lose is if they they take their competition too lightly like they did a few years back.Contender

D2 St. Benedict is probably the best team in the large class. They will make it past the sectional, but then its over for them. Pretender

In the small class it looks like FACS and USJ might be the best in the west. I am not sure that either will make it pass sectionals though. Pretender[/b

Who knows, in a couple of weeks I may have to change everything.

    I agree with your choices.

Brighton wll go to state. Collierville will not because they have a weak schedule and go to weak tournaments. A few weeks ago they even signed up in the "B' of a bracket of a local tournament.

Covington will go to state. I do not think they can win it all but who knows. They choose to go to their areas tournaments with very weak teams. The only competitive game they have played appears to be Trinity.

Trinity Christian can beat any team in any division in the state! I would love to see them play Soddy, Beech, and Riverdale!

St, Benedict will go to state. There is no competition for them in the West. With the loss of 4 senior starters, they will have a tough time.

FACS - I will take your word for it. I don't know that team

  13. We at Covington just play ball and let our game speak for itself. What you did last year means nothing its what you bring to the field each night. We have had a few bad games and lost to one of the states best pitchers. Pride Pride Charger pride

You are right. Every team has a bad game now and then. But you need to schedule some games with some tougher competition in order to be able to compete at state. Your tournament schedule was very weak. Wins against weak teams don't mean much.

  14. I see nothing has changed with Collierville. They play a very weak local schedule and enter the 'B' bracket of this this tournament. Year after year, they always start out the season with what appears to be a great record and then lose early at the end of the season because they cannot compete with the really talented teams. You can't get better as a team if you don't challenge the team.
