I saw him drill #47. And neither of the backs are gonna get anywhere until that line learns to block someone.
-
Farragut is one of the best teams I have seen in a while. If West's line could step up they'd be much improved.
-
During both of those scrimmages Baylosis, to me, ran better then Williams. Had good cuts, good vision, and he scored. I don't think Williams ever scored in a scrimmage. Not that I am bad-mouthing him but I just think Baylosis gets more done then Williams does.
-
I'm not sure if a Jamboree tells who is gonna be the better playmaker. I was at all the scrimmages. Baylosis just made more plays. Williams is a solid back but not someone West will go to for a play.
-
who will be big playmakers for west this year?
Cook and Baylosis are their most explosive guys. They can make big big things happen for the Rebs this year.
-
West gives The Admirals their first loss in the new stadium in an upset.

Anthony Cook is a 6'2 senior with great speed they'll probably look to get him the ball through slants and other quick passes.
-
I heard Garner broke his collarbone a few days ago. Is this true?

Concerning the West AE game. I think you are a little off. The second series after West stopped AE on fourth down, West moved the ball to about the same spot as AE did. Also they have a nice stable of backs. Baylosis didn't get much of an opportunity to run the ball although he started, Williams had two carries for 20 yards, and Simmons and 1 carry for 10 yards. I though West did a good job of stopping AE's fast offense even though they allowed the back to get to the outside a couple of times.

When did you see him play? And do you know his number?
-
1. Maryville
2. Halls
3. Clinton
4. West
5. Central
6. powell
7. Lenoir City
8. South Doyle
Maryville will first of course! Halls should be improved, with a good group of upperclassmen! Clinton lost no one to important, and Weston Hazlehurst gained 15 lbs bulk, and can run the 40 in 4.6, and he had 1400 yrds rushing last year, and they still have stone! West has a REALLY good RB! Powell, LC, and South Doyle has too much going on!
Do you know who the good running back at West is?

Knoxville West and Catholic scrimmage tomorrow with the start being between 5 and 6. Anyone curious about either the Rebels or the Irish should stop by Bill Wilson Field (West) and watch a great game.
-
Why isn't Vann playing? Also, Did #22 do anything at RB? I've heard he is a stud.
-
Who played well for Catholic?
-
Having Central, Webb, Bearden, and Powell ahead of West or AE is a joke. I'd at least have West and AE at 5 or 6 with the other teams pulling up the bottom four.
-
And besides the running back aspect, the scrimmage went pretty well from what I saw. The D-line was able to get a lot of pressure on Mcminn's QB and also the secondary forced a lot of coverage sacks. The bad news was Francis didn't look sharp at QB and the line struggled to get there assignments correct.

Any word on how bad the Zulliger kid is hurt?
His ACL is either torn completely or it is just a partial tear. I think he finds out today. If it's just a partial tear he will be out for just four weeks.
-
In the scrimmage today. 18 which I'm pretty sure is Baylosis (Williams competition) played both ways and was more productive running the ball including a nice 45 yard TD run. So maybe him. I don't know

They play mcminn co. Today. As for williams, he may not even start.
-
I heard Zach Zulliger might have torn his ACL when he got hurt early in the scrimmage. Does anyone know if this is the case?
-
I thought Van Dyne was starting tailback?
-
Most likely Christian Francis who is only a sophomore.
-
West has two good junior running backs. Do you know which one? Baylosis is the more explosive playmaker and Williams is more of the balanced back. Other then them they have a solid line that is a little young, a good front 7 on D, and their secondary returns 4 players with starting experience. They should look to surprise some people this year.

Also. Cook doesn't want to play QB. So why force him to play there?
