  1. Please quit making my old school look like stupid. West is not going to have a good season this year for three reasons. 1. They play in the hardest region in the state. 2. The coaching is absolutely poor, They had a stacked team last year and yet didn't utilize all of their athletic abilities. Furthermore they only have like 3 coaches coming back since the majority moved on or retired. 3. They don't have enough talent. The defense is going to be poor in every aspect of the game except maybe linebacker. So your statement about west being best is immature and really unnecessary. Plus your banter between other schools just makes you and West look even worse.
  2. THey would be 5-5 because they already counted south as a loss.
  3. Did you not read the post above you? If West wins out it's got a good chance of being in as a wildcard.
  4. At 5-5 they will prob be tied with a few of the other Wild Card contenders. Is everything taken into account? Or do they just go down the list of tiebreakers.
  5. What are the chances Knox West gets in at 5-5. They play two 6A games to close out and they can win both. That would make them 5-5 against the toughest schedule in the state.
  6. West only has about 3 kids that play both ways so I think if it's a close game West will be able to wear Catholic down.
  7. Big game for both teams obviously. The majority of these kids all know eachother which will most likely make this a very heated and passionate game. In fact Catholic's Dorian Cozart and West's Ivan Freeman and Tanner Thompson all were running backs on the same Super Midget team not to mention a good number of other current players. Should be fun!
  8. Mark Packer KILLS me. Is this seriously the best we can find in Knoxville?
  9. I can help you with Bearden's team. Obviously their best player is Devrin Young, most teams have keyed on him and has helped slow down they gaudy numbers he had last year. Also in the backfield they have Peyton Landers who is a good hard nosed down hill runner who can get the tough yards. Their QB is undersized but has a decent arm and feet, however if he is pressured he will make mistakes. Their receivers aren't very good. Defense has saved this team this year pretty much. Goltry, Wilker and Williamson are their key players back there. Maryville should roll if they can take advantage of Cisco playing safety (He overruns plays and misses tackles ALOT) and 34 who is not as good a corner as Stephens or Young. That's what I have seen not a Bearden fan though.
  10. West has played tough team after tough team after tough team so far so I think West will be prepared to win any game they have from here on out.
  11. Cisco's best bet for playing college ball is being a kicker or a punter. I don't believe he is truly a pure safety prospect but then again I haven't seen him play in a while.
  12. I wouldn't look into the rankings much. This is a Bearden team that has played the easiest schedule in the district so far. Walker Valley, Jeff Co, LC, WB, and Rhea County. None of these teams have the athletes that Maryville has. I'd look for Buddy Jones to have a big game and also Horne.
