  1. Where/who does Prather play in spring/summer?
  2. Who, When and Where will this be announced. I know that Northside and Covington are in the Championship games. Will it be made after that game?
  3. Again USJ lost to Covington. They just bring the ball down and pass it around until they loose it. Except for John Ross and EJ no one would take a shot. We would not contest the 3pt shooters at all. They looked especially bad in this loss. I think they are better than they looked but they looked as they did not care. I guess they are just ready for it to be over as I am.
  4. Murphy I agreetotally with you. I to have much respect for Tommy Russell but there have been several games that USJ was still in "it" and the subing was crazy I thought. Well maybe next year.
  5. AA schools are just too much for USJ which is no surprise. USJ hangs around until about 3 quarter. USJ Freshman John Ross Glover comes off the bench and scores over 30 mostly under the basket. EJ Miller had over 20. Haywood could score on the drive pretty much at will. Good job done by USJ's --Will, Grant, Austin, Colton, Grady and Danny. Run and gun is the name of the game.
  6. Very good game but Braicrest inside big man and overall rebounding made most of the difference. Liberty lost by 10. Liberty is a great team and I look forward to seeing more of Dexter and his guy come April and May. Congrats to Williams and Anthony for a great game. Also to McDonald from Briacrest.
  7. USJ again lost because they cannot adjust in the 2nd half. EJ had a great game and the Glover kid had a drunk. Other player did their part but just cannot play with the type of players or this type of game.
  8. GC Pioneer my question to you. Is this normal --given the games you have watched-- that it makes sense to give up with this much time left. He has done this most games this year. 6 min left, 7 min left, 4 mins left with score within 8. How does he come to this decision? Are they just not that good and have no hope of coming back to make it a game??--I am really lost on his coaching style.
  9. Dyersburg will have to be very smart to match-up with CJ's BB IQ. He is amazing and gives the ball up to his team mates to score. DC press is run to prefection and just when you think they may be out of breath they put 5 others equal talent on the floor. DC no question.
  10. I ask again? Why do they have the big guys bringing the ball down the court? They don't seem to be playing to their strength.
  11. The post by Elvis3 was un-called-for regarding certain players. They just need to take the lumps and move on to D2 next year.
  12. Coach Williams and Liberty will take it to the Tigers this year by 6 points. They are very disciplined and will win with this.
  13. We will be watching this group the next 3 1/2 years. Who are you picks? Include your bench. 15 member roster.
  14. Not sure wasn't there but Word is same old same old. Russell changed the offense at half time and EJ Miller doubel digits first half had limited scoring in the 2nd half and and John Ross Glover did not score in 2nd half after scoring double digits in the first half. Same old ball coaching that it has been for years. USJ doesn't change despite all information to the contrary. Maybe things will be different when they play in DII.
  15. For those of you who watch USJ Basketball please give me your input into what you would do different if you controlled the USJ team. Are we playing the right offense and defense? Are the right players playing the game? What players are we missing? Are we just too Slow? Is moving to D2 next years going to make that much difference?
  16. Who looked good in the Covington vs. USJ game. I here the 22 Covington player had an awesome dunk.
  17. USJ completely quit playing in the third quarter. They were eaten alive by the Ripley dribble drive offense. The lanes were wide enough and uncontested enough to park an aircraft carrier in. USJ played like a bunch of young middle school players. They look like they were confused and were constantly out of position. Its going to be an extremely miserable season.
  18. If EJ Miller will pass the ball and shoot from outside they will win. John Ross Glover will get open but appears to get tired when being open they don't feed.
  19. I am unsure of what Ripley has but the 2 times I've watched USJ they were doing the same thing on offense which seems to be lossing the game for them. They do not have any real big inside men but Coach Russell appears to be determined to play the game like he had someone 6'9" on the inside. One dimension team. Ripley will take it.
  20. I don't believe On the Ball did their research at all. If you read it you will see they are not accurate at all regarding who the power players are. This looks like old information they have just re-hashed. I agree Prather should be on the A team. On the Ball is proabily in $ problems and did not go to the expense of finding newer information.
  21. I would watch John Ross from USJ, an up-and-coming freshman. Lots to learn but looks like a real player.
  22. Please Please---its over. I have talked to the Head coach at Trinity and this is simply a false statement about someone name this talking with him. Ripvanstinkle you are no longer funny but being made fun. Why don't you go and watch some of the talent we ALREADY have in Jackson TN. Liberty Sophmore Kendall Anthony, Northside Casey Prather, and some of the up and coming players like Jamal at JCS, Freshman John Ross Glover and Sophmore EJ Miller from USJ, Tatum from Trinity etc etc
  23. USJ won the game 52-45. I have never seen as many fouls that were called. Neither team could get a momentum due to the very very cheap fouls being call on both teams. If the refs would have let them play the score would have been greater and a much better game played. It was riduculous ref-ing. The Riley kid for Madison has got an attitude that will keep him from going very far unless he changes. EJ Miller and Colton North both had good games close to 15. The inside guys Pierce and the Freshman Glover had 8 or so. Madison's Goldsmith did a great job with 13 and shaw had 11. Overall what would have been a good game was spoil by the refs. All the player got frustrated and so did the fans. I would also say, that had the momentum been allowed to get started I think Madison would have took this game. THey have a great fan base.
  24. I thought USJ look pretty good against Bradford last week. the freshman kid had over 20 and they looked quick. They are not where they need to be to survive in AA ball but they will not be a pushover either. Madison looked confused at the Liberty HOF game didn't seem to know what they were doing.
  25. I attended the game last night in Selmer. EJ was not having a good night. But most of the guys for both McNairy and USJ look like they were still playing football. It will take a couple of warm-up HOF games to get in gear. Will Pearce looked very good. the Freshman John Ross Glover came off the bench and played quite a bit...rebounded well and look ready to play at this level ... Unsure of his points. Other wise McNairy will be a good AA team when they get the football out of their system.
