  1. First of all, Congrats to Clinton on a big win, now put it behind you and concentrate on region play! Great show of class by both Clinton and OR fans, player's and students, I'm glad it didn't end up like last year post game. This is not a dig on OR, I promise. This was the most undisciplined OR team that I have seen in 25 years, 4 or 5 fumbles, multiple penalties, and it looked like they didn't have any fire at any point in the game. I pull for OR when we don't play them, they are in Anderson County. Can any OR fans elaborate? I think it is a shame for a program like yours to show up for a cross county game like this, maybe I'm wrong.

On the flip side, the biggest difference between this years Clinton team and last years is that the team haslearned how to win again. I know that sounds silly, but we lost for a LONG time. Losing is contagious, just as winning is. For this team to come together and win without Hazlehurst is very gratifying. The future is very bright for the Dragons with the amount of Juniors and Soph contributing. Kudo's for the Clinton fans hanging in there with Coach Shattuck. And for those that left for what they thought were greener pastures..............You could have been part of something special, good luck at Grace, thats not a shot by the way.

Congrats to Clinton on their win over ORidge...Especially the Seniors...great for them!!

The pasture, however is pretty darn green at Grace....and we are part of something VERY special at Grace...Wouldn't change the move for anything...still a great decision....(not a shot back, either...)

  2. Yes he did play and had a great night (i thought he scored once?)

The game was a fight from the git go. as real Grace fans and players expected it to be.

Coalfield was pumped and prepared, scored 2 tds early (they scored the last one on our freshman and JV).

It was a great game and when the dust settled the players shook hands and went home.

I think this Friday night in Ktown is going to be awesome. As you all know I dont make predictions and even if I did i wouldnt attempt to predict how this one will turn out.

I still want to buy you that coke Pujo, maybe I can hold up a sign with your name on it like youre a vip at the airport or something.

Hats off to the Coalfield gang...they were pumped and ready to play where we came out slow.... Just wish they would have kept the "chop blocking" down a bit. Anyway, Friday night will be a great night of football and we are excited. Hope that both teams stay injury free and play with good sportsmanship. Yes, Diddler, I'm sure there will be a big ol' welcome sign just for our buddy PUJO!!!

  3. I agree, GraceRamFan...However, if Weston is smart, he won't rush things. I know injured players of his calibur get anxious to return to the game.

He should look at the BIG picture! (ie; his senior year!) I'm positive his coach wants him to return ASAP. I look for great things from him and Stone their senior year.

I hope he does not rush it, either...his Senior year should be an amazing one..but, if I know Weston, he will be chomping to get back out there..He has such heart for the game of football...I just hope he takes care of himself and the coaches don't rush him back out there...Look forward to seeing him dominate next year!

  4. Hey guy's,

I myself got caught up on the baord I didn't realize the request for the two young football players and others involved in a wreck please pray for them as well.

Sue, you hit the nail square on the head....Football is not life...we all love it, but let's remember that it's a game and treat others as we want to be treated in all situations of life. Let's all focus on praying for these boys and their families/friends right now...

  5. Add this up. Three touchdowns in the fourth quarter with starters in vs. Oakdale=bad sportsmanship.

....and I suppose that the Referee having to STOP the game and get our administration to talk to some of your potty-mouthed fans on the fence and your coaches that were telling your players not to shake hands with our boys is considered GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP???? Don't throw stones..

  6. Well, I don't know who'll win this game, but after all the talk from Grace and their seemingly lack of competition, I'd like to see Coalfield win this game and who knows, they just might.

You can never underestimate ANY team. You just have to go out each week and play your best. Take one game at a time.

  7. Weston's orthapedic said that he would just be out 2-4 weeks, atleast that is what his relative told me! Which is better than the whole season! He did break his collar bone! But they said it was a clean break! So that's good!

Glad to hear that Weston will just be out a few weeks. He is an excellent young man and player. He's tough, he won't be out long! Get well, Weston!

  8. and how many kids do you have playing?

I have one and another will be attending Grace in the years to come!

I wonder why they chose to go to Grace? Im sure none of the new kids are getting their tuition payed just like none of the kids before them, but hey good luck next year in 3-A! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I work and pay for my child....

  9. No one ever said that there wasnt money at the school and church. I have said it before that I agree private schools have an advantage. What are we supposed to do not play?? The TSSAA puts us in a district and class we dont choose that. I understand the frustration but dont think it is fair to call Grace cheaters and make unfounded statements.

That's exactly right....and I know for a fact the NOBODY is paying the QB or Running Back's tuition other than their parents....

  10. Rationalize it any way you want but if the shoe was on the other foot, you would not like it. when your a bottom feeder you feel better about yourself if you work your way to the top. what lesson our your kids learning. If you can not when with what you got , don't develop it go get better talent. and what about the kid who was going to start but now all his hard was for nothing cause he will now be watching not playing

Loopie...These kids had to earn their positions just like anyone else...and the kids that transferred chose to come to Grace, Grace didn't come to them.

  11. I think Muledog has a point here. The TSSAA wants Grace Christian right where they are because they know that winning will get parents attention and they want want to send their little johnny there. Diddler how many times are you going to say goodbye? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> If you cant stand the heat then stay out of the kitchen. Everything that Grace is doing right now has been seen before. CPA, CAK we can go on. There are people on the inside who leak the truth. Grace could really do themselves a favor and show some class while they are winning. Region 1 and region 2 don't need people like you. We want you outtttaaherrrre!!!! Whoooo!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

The TSSAA is the reason that most of these kids have to be punished and sit out a year when transferring......Oh, and Diddler can stand any heat that you put on him and so can I...bring it...Grace is here to stay....GET USED TO IT AND US!!!

  12. Just how many Clinton fathers do you have, Why don't you just call you're school , THE Clinton rejects., We thrive on transfers. Hey ,there's you a shirt.

And here is a shirt for you, Pujo...."I have a HUGE chip on my shoulder and like to take it out on other people" OR..."I have a miserable life and like to talk bad about kids"...

Yeah, looks like the REJECTS as you call our KIDS, are doing pretty darn good at Grace...

    Geesssshhh...get a life.....

  13. What does any of this have to do with the Public-Private debate? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

The Grace haters had to move their agenda to bash our boys to this area, because someone smart closed down the other bashing post...Guess the powers that be got sick of it, too...

  14. You haven't heard me use the private vs. public card. I have just asked a question several times and still can't get an answer on why the GRACE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY coaches scored 3 touchdowns with starters in the final 10 minutes of the game when they were up big to begin with? Can anybody answer this question?

You would have to ask a Coach....but don't ASSUME, until you do...

I have been told that by several people that were there. No handshakes.

    Nope...someone told a "story"....saw the handshakes..
