I think that game one will be so critical. If Cannon wins that game then I believe it will set the tone for the entire season, however a lose to the former coach would be a tough blow in week one.

I have heard so many different things. I heard that the number of players was down and that the players weren't responding to the new coach's system and then i also hear they have played fairly well in there scrimmages so i don't know to judge this team yet. it will be an interesting week one vs. sequatchie thats for sure.

I think if cannon can disrupt sequatchie early then they will win. If cannon can build an early lead then keep defensive pressure on sequatchie that will equal a win. i do not know alot about the cannon co. defense but i know that there offense is talented.

Cannon will be more athletic than sequatchie. they are adjusting to a new coach though. sequatchie will probably more physical. melvin young and josh seng are both returning all-region performers for Cannon so they should have the experince edge. Both teams will make mistakes, because its the first week, but it will depend on who makes the critical turnover or who can make a big play. cannon last season could be explosive at times. it is way early for a prediction but i would go with Cannon 35-27.

I agree 7-3 or 8-2 is far fetched but they do have the talent to finish 5-5 or 6-4. As long as it is a smooth transition with the new coach. did he add anyone new to the staff?

Heard a rumor melvin young has a pretty serious injury any truth to this? and if so how long will he be out? and is the number of players down from last year?

I'm glad to hear that things are going well with the new coach's plan but 40-45 players? correct me if I'm wrong but arent those numbers down from last year? depth could become a huge issue and there is no way the score will be that bad sequatchie will be no push-over. I think cannon Co. will win, just not by that margin

I agree there are some talented players and Melvin Young is very explosive. I believe it will depend on if the players adjust to coach bartch's style but they should defenitely be competitive

Congrats to coach rigsby. He deserved this job. He is a CCHS grad who cares alot about cannon county basketball and i think he will do well
