I think it is very possible for MBA to repeat as state champs. They have a very talented team and a solid group of seniors. MBA-BA matchup in state title for sure.

I would pick James Kay. He lead the MBA team with .710 batting average and 7 homers in 18 games. He can play 3rd catcher or 2nd.

Im pretty sure MBA didn't get a braircrest lineman, were looking good. Possible state championship. I predict MBA BA final again. Runningbacks are senior Patrick Crum. And two stud sophmors who both have 4.5 team. They were the key part of the undefeated freshman team that averaged 45 points a game.

Actually he played some at Yale in College. He is a defensive genious and will help lead the Big Red to our 15 state title.

For all the people saying MBA expels atheletes that BA wouldn't, YOUR RIGHT! I attend MBA and for a fact we lost 11 kids this year, the majority of them being excellent at football. 5 applied to BA and were accepted...I am also good freinds with a few BA attendents who excel at football, and they have told me that it is very easy and most of the focus is on Football. How is that fare?? With most of Ba's players coming from Antioch I don't see how they don't recruit. In my grade at MBA, we have 3 black boys. Iv'e personally talked to boys who have been interviewd for acceptance at Ba, and at least 5 boys told me they were sat down by Ralph Potter and talked for an hour about them playing football their. The TSSAA needs to do another investigation with BA. This doesn't mention that everyday that have an hour P.E. and a 30 MINUETE CLEANUP SESSION!!!!! At MBA we don't get physical activities during the day. One senior at BA told me that he sometimes wished his school wasn't a total joke and that he had too work. Thats not an exageration. And what do you know... HE STARTS ON THE FOOTBALL TEAM

MBA and BA will be in the state final no doubt. MBA looks very strong with Crum, Wise, Johnson, Sloan, Lipscomb, and others all returning on the offense, and Bubis, Sloan, Corcoron and countless on D. The only question is at runningback where they have Crum and two very talented and fast sophmors. The new quarterback is very taented although we havn't seen much out of him because he has a shoulder injury. He may not start at quarterback but he iis also a very talented safety. The group of seniors has very high energy and has prmised they will not be down from last year. Im not predicting a state championship for the Big Red but it is very possible the will eek out BA for the title. Ensworth will be mediocre. Their quarterback, Tavarres Jefferson will be a dual threat, but their line isn't talented enough. They do have a unbelievable play making receiver in junior Jacob Carter.

This is the most ignorant things ive ever heard. First, why bring up last years MBA mccalie game when Mccalie was a powerhouse and MBA was plauged with injuries. MBA would have gotten 2nd in state in 2006 without them. Second, yes MBA beat ravenwood by 3 but it fails to say it was 31-7 in the 4th before mba put their backups in...Putting MBA and Lipscomb in the same sentence is obsurd. BA beat smyrna and their not up their while Smyrna is 4th. Maryville was 3rd best team behind mba and ba. Also about the JPII comparison, with the starters in MBA put up 21 in quarter.
