Scrimmage Day scheduled November 15 at East Ridge High School. Participating teams include: East Ridge Howard Arts & Sciences Baylor McCallie Notre Dame Red Bank Ooltewah Lookout Valley Boyd-Buchanan Cleveland Temple Also, the Chattanooga area AA,AAA and Div. I teams jamboree is scheduled for November 10 and 11 at East Ridge High School.

What do you think about TSSAA Basketball playoff system. Maybe I'm from the old school, but c'mon, a team could realistically LOSE three games and still qualify for the State Tournament. This goes against all the rationale for a tournament. Should a team that has a great regular season be rewarded by being granted second and third chances just in case they would get upset? If the top two teams in the District regular season automatically go to the region, why even have a District tournament? That's just my two cents. Anybody feel the same or do you like it the way it is?

ER will be ok. There is an awful lot of talking for a team that has yet to prove themself worthy of talk. Good luck, you will be better than last year though.

11 teams participated (ER,McCallie, Baylor, Lookout Valley, Red Bank, Boyd-Buchanan, Walker Valley, Tyner, Howard, CSAS, Grace) Games were not indicative of teams true talent due to the fact that many did not have their football players in action and some of the better players like Ben Britt, Sky Conley and Jonathan Adams did not participate. A quick run down: Howard, McCallie and Tyner looked good. Howard was very small but can score quickly. McCallie shot the ball very well and Tyner is fairly big but also really athletic (10 deep). Baylor was big but was missing 4 players, Lookout is athletic but suspect with perimeter shooting. Walker Valley played without their post so they were more perimeter oriented. Boyd was ok, but struggled against bigger teams. ER relies on full-ct play and the three. CSAS will need to find more scoring outside of Conley (CSAS really tough defensively). Grace was solid but goes with maybe 6 players. Don't have any scores at this time.
