You are correct. 12,000 for being a head coach with his tenure and 20,000 for being an assistant AD is what I was told.

If a coach is to be hired at DB, I understand that the job would pay including a title of assistant athletic director to be right at 100,000. I'm sure that's more than either is making right now.RO LL TRIBE!!!!!

Let's face it. This staff has done nothing to warrant keeping any of them. Sure we've gone to the semi finals a few times but so what. Its about getting to the dance with a shot to win the gold ball. Lots of great Games and wins yes, but that is expected. Hey, we've spent a ton of money and keep doing it. For what? Another season of let down? Time for new blood. Its time NOW!!!! Pretty good guesses. You must an insider instead of an outsider. With the exception of Carter. Ballard #1, Whitten #2. Norris has ties to DB. Ballard and the rest of the guys could receive an assistant AD/ Head coach title and make more then anybody can pay. If anybody knows anymore please keep us posted. Heard a rumor today that Coach Clark might be heading to Emory & Henry to be offensive coordinator and that he had applied for head coach but didn't get it. Was also give a short list of replacement coaches and a certain local coach was at the top. Guess who?

Maupin was not ready this year and it was obvious but I hope he works his butt off and takes over the job next year. But, knowing our staff like I do, your going to see the same thing next year. Holt needs to move to WR and let's use this year to build a QB for the future. Clark won't do this. Watch and see.

Several good young athletes coming in and some good sophomores as well that played as Freshman this year. The big question is at QB!!! From what I seen this year we better hope Maupin comes into the '14 camp and takes over. His potential is great but just was not there this year. I hope the QB rotation is over. Holt made way too many bad decisions with the ball. He was my pick to be the man but it just had not worked. I think he's better served at WR. East had some good plays but the bad stuff out weighed the good. I think the RB's will be our best players. WR will be down again unless we move Holt to that position. I'm hoping Foreman has a light come on but I believe his mind is on basketball. Look for Holts little brother to start somewhere as a Freshman. Not sure about the line since we replace a couple starters there. And then there's always that coaching thing. ?????? ROLL TRIBE!!!!!

Boy was I wrong about this game. But, in my defense Fulton didn't even make a showing in the South game. They did however show up last night. Didn't even look like the same team. #7 is a stud. He reminds me of Malik Foreman too. Malik could accelerate a bit quicker but both can fly. And last night I seen a whole bunch of good players for Fulton. You can't teach speed. For two straight weeks at sit on the Fulton side in the rain so I think I will change it up this week and go see Maryville pound Blackman. Good luck and go Falcons.

You are correct. Dominated was the wrong word. But South did dominate the control of the game. They ate clock and executed longer drives. Fulton scored quicker and was more of a one or two play capable team. I still think Greeneville wins by three scores. I know one thing for sure. When Greeneville comes out and your players start the trash talk they the Devils will give it right back. They are a confident and cocky bunch. And I'm sure that you will just love there pregame coin toss dance, pointing to you that they're coming and you can't do anything about it. They did that to Signal Mt. so I'm sure they will do it again. Good luck to both teams but I'm from upper ET so I'm pulling for the Devils.

This DB fan went down last Friday and watched South and Fulton. I thought I was going to watch a lop sided game. However, South played a great game. I had heard that Fulton was probably the best team in all classifications. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Maybe they had a down game, I don't know but South dominated the game for 3 quarters. So they did fight through and find a way to win. I also have seen Greeneville play and that was against Signal Mt. I thought by looking at Signal Mt. that Greeneville would get killed. Not even close. I believe I was more impressed with the Devils play than I've seen maybe ever. And I will say it's all about the coaching. I've never seen a team more focused and prepared as them. This game will be at least a 21 point victory for Greeneville.

Yes. He and the rest of the staff need to go. They are way to soft and there panic in the playoffs spills over to the players. Bad vibes or whatever. They've become to comfortable. It's time to get Ballard from Greeneville or someone on Quarrels staff Maryville to start this program over and get us over the hump. It can be done. We have the pick of the litter here of the football players. They will come to us. It's time to change the mind set. Thanks to Clark for all the past dedication and success but it's time for him to ride off into the sunset. After all, he's going to be leaving one day soon anyway. If you want to be a loser then you can go follow Volunteer or Central. This is DB and is my school and my team. If the staff changes or not they are my team. But, I want them gone. Too many times this has happened. Bad coaching decisions breed failure to these players. It's time to change. Everybody knows but some are afraid to say it. This staff has screwed up more opportunities than they've converted. And they are not getting us prepared to succeed. WE ARE TOO SOFT!!!! We need some old time hard nosed coaching. You are correct. I'm so done with this coaching staff. They've been sitting in the same place too dang long. I don't care if we go down hill or not. It's time for some new blood because the blood we've got is bad. Thanks for the many years but this needs to end. Please. I've been a loyal fan for 17 years and I can't take this anymore. I'm exhausted. Even with us being down this year we should have beaten East by 5-6 scores. There were some bad calls tonight but the play calls were not much better. Looking forward to some change. Here it is in a nut shell , we are young, slow, one dimensional and play tight in the playoffs. Casey and Holt is it on offense. Sensabaugh good at DE. Defensive backs are short and slow and can't tackle. Tremell good at linebacker and RB but never gets to run it. Other two RB are young and hesitant. OL is good but starting Senior center is out. PK young but shows promise. Stop Casey and you stop DB. Just too much youth to be competitive this year but the next few show real promise. Sorry to be so negative sounding but if your an Indian fan you know it's true. ROLL TRIBE Oh yeah, the offense. Shotgun read, I, some option. Just a general mix.

I used to think this as well, but look at what Greenville has been doing. They play more cupcakes then anybody in the State and the win titles. So I think it's your just very good with good coaching decisions or your not. Period.

Clark has won more games than he has lost for the Indians but it seems the ones he loses are the most important. I don't know what the answer is but I bet he would fix it if he knew. I guess it's just nerves. I'm very appreciative of what he has done for our program and it does get old losing in the playoffs every year, but it would be even worse if we didn't make the playoffs. A lesser coach would have not made it with this years team. That I can guarantee you. I still think he finds a way to win this week, it's just a gut feeling. Science Hill just won there championship last Friday night. They won't be able to get as up for this game. Farragut takes care of business.

Someone said Mo East had a week schedule. I would like for there fans to comment. Greenvilles week schedule doesn't seem to hurt them.

I completely disagree. DB last year was as good a football team this area has had in many,many years. That team was capable of winning it all. If not for the turnovers last year they might have beaten Maryville. I bet If you asked coach Quarrels he would tell you the '12 DB Indians were a very good team. Two special athletes who don't come around very often on the same team, and uh, they're playing as Freshman a lot in Knoxville. ROLL TRIBE

I don't know why the attitude with Cook but who cares. I think you would be interested to know that Carter shoved a DB band kid and Cook told Stacy to get his classless #### of the field and that's when he shoved Cook. I watched the entire thing but was told by people in the know what was said.
