This was the first game this year when TC offense didn't score on there 1st possession.(Although we shoulda kicked the FG). So SP defense shut down the 2nd best offense in 1A. And TC defense shut the #1 offense down. If TC had kicked the FG in the 1st. It woulda been 8-0 when SP scored instead of 6-5. So TC made a few mistakes in the game also. SP kicking game is a terrible. That is something you guys need to work on down there. Your punter punted a 15 yd punt. You woulda been better off trying to bait an interception if you know what i mean.

Wrong....didn't score on the first possession against my commanders. Congrats to TC. It was closer than I thought. Lots of our boys were out last night rootin for the Jackets.

I'm not hating on SP but TC takes this one. Yeah yeah, I know....strap up the basketball shoes etc, but this is TC's year. Congrats on a great season and you beat us last night fair and square. Just enjoy that one because it ends Friday night on the creekbank. TC.....you might want to rope off a section for the FC crowd. I'd say we will have a crew there to watch this. Oh yeah, and we'll be sure to bring our "illegal" horns with us. Those SP people weren't feeling the horns. We in region 4 all have em. Better get used to it. Well, if we can't win it, I want a fellow region 4 team to put it to em. Shouldn't be a problem. They are good, but nothing like last year. Very beatable. Again, TC puts the smackdown on the Pirates pretty handily.

SP has a good team. Not taking anything away, but TC wins easy. They will mop up the creekbank with the Pirates. Sorry guys, just ot good enough this year. Can't believe I'm saying this but.....go yellowjackets.

There is no doubt about it that Friendship is probably VERY confident that they will come into The Pitt and win convincingly this season. As I said in an earlier post, they think last year's win was a fluke. I heard them say it myself after that massacre. I also remember one of the coaches making a racial type slur about SP so I too am sure that The Pirates WILL be focused and ready to battle in this one. If they aren't then we will be saying SYANORA!

People say a lot of stupid things after a big loss like last year. Fact is, we got beat by a better team last year. May happen again. However, I know that we have a better team than last year in lots of ways. I have heard (here) that while SP is still very good, they aren't quite the team they were last year. Not sure how our crowd will be with the cold weather and long drive. The faithfuls will be there, but we have some fair wether fans that probably won't. I for one will have on the longjohns and be ready. Hope both teams come out with no injuries and all our travelers make it back to Lebanon safely.

My cousins house is in central time in lebanon so I am pretty sure there is no time change...I could be wrong though

I have kin folk that live in lebanon and they are on the same time zone we are down here..I can leave South Pittsburg and get there in two hours easy

There was a sophomore from South Pittsburg this afternoon that was killed. I believe the boy was in the 10th grade. I do not know any details or anything, but I was just going to say to remember the family.

the refs made some questionable calls but over all it was a good football game mcneal is a great coach has a great diversity of plays formations etc.... he was just trying something new i reckon and we came out with a win thats all that matters. it will be a heck of a game this week i know the defense will be ready for anything TC may have speed but so do we our secondary is one of the fastest ive ever seen we will be ready for anything TC can do im already excited for friday night /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Trousdale beat Smith County 20-12, or something like that. I look to see a similar score in this one. FCS has some great talent, like their quarterback, but in the end Trousdale is too good for them. Trousdale is one of the most disciplined teams around. Their kids do exactly what they are supposed to do. They go hard and execute to a t. Not taking anything away from the FCS players, but its Trousdale's game to lose. The only way they get beat is if they beat themselves.

You may be right. I hope not. However, I'll take your prediction before I'll take TC being 4-5 touchdowns better.

I'm sure they are ready for this game, no under estimating you guys. How many seniors did you all lose last yr? How many were starters? I've seen the scores this yr, I bet TC has their way with you Friday night. Game will probably be decided by halftime. TC is MUCH improved this yr. BIGGER,FASTER, and STRONGER. Creasy has had a great gameplan for every game so far. I expect another great one Friday night. I hope both teams come out of it injury free and can't wait to get some great food from that great concessions stands ya'll have.

I'm not doubtin that you guys are a great team or that you will come ready to play. Just don't think it will be a run away like you think. Guess time will tell. Couldn't say exactly how many seniors we lost, but we are more of a TEAM this year for sure. I know TC has some revenge to get and I too hope it is injusry free. I will sy this.....whoever meets SP.....I hope we can get a region 4 win. Whether it is FC or TC, I will be pullin for good ole region 4. We'll have the concessions ready and no doubt a great crowd on both sides. It will be what HS football is all about regardless of the outcome. I hope the players are under extimating us as much as the fans. That always helps! Also IMO our team is quite a bit better this year than last.

I look for Gville to be able to contend in this game better than a lot of people think.

These youngsters have grown up a lot this year.

All Gville has to do is win one more game barring no upsets elsewhere in the region. Which is more than a lot of people expected this year.

Trust me. The Commanders are not taking this game lightly. Everybody knows it won't be a gimme.

i hope our boys, have as much fun as they did friday !! they came off the field with accomplishment, they knew that FC was big and a great football team and played a football game that was actually fun for them !! Friendship and our kids were respectful to each other, our boys new that it was going to be a tuff game, but they had more fun than i have seen all season!! it was a football game that showed heart from both sides !! maybe after this our boys won't worry about how big, fast, or great and the only worry they will have is having FUN !!!! and go out and play like they did friday with 1 exception We Get A Win Next Time /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Couldn't agree more. I posted this on another post but it seems appropriate here, so I'll say it again. It was a great night. Weather was perfect. I was quite impressed by the bulldawgs. Sure we won the game but more importantly the boys treated each other with respect. The RBS boys have more class than many. There was a lot of helping the opponent up etc from both sides. They played tough. Took more than one of our players to bring them down lots of times. I say......hang tough bulldogs.....get that win.

FCS better be ready to play this T R A P game. They could easily look forward to week 9 but that would be a huge mistake. They haven't had much competion the last couple weeks. I heard the starters only played a little over the frist quater last night. Buckle down BIG GREEN

True, true and true. We better be ready. G'ville will be gunnin for us. I don't think....and I certainly hope....no one is looking past this week. The starters only played a little into the second quarter and by the middle of the fourth, our eighth graders were playing. We better get ready.

On a side note, I can't believe no one has had anything to say about our GIRL kicker. Figured that would get a rise out of some.

I wanted to say a couple of things that I saw at last nights game. Sure, we won. I don't think anyone expected us not to. However, RBS fought hard. They had 21 players if I counted correctly. Many times it took several of our players to bring down their boys. Those boys showed more class on the field than many teams do. I saw a lot of both teams helping the others up, patting them on the helmet etc. They played with character and I say kudos to the bulldawgs.

Congrats to Gordonsville on tonight's win. Let's hear it........FCS comes to Gordonsville........what do you say????
